Alstonefield Village Hall is a beautifully decorated wedding venue in the heart of Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Set in the picturesque postcard village of Alstonefield, your wedding party will enjoy peace and tranquillity in these wonderful surroundings.

The village hall was a former school until 1985 when it became the village hall. Since then, the community has been instrumental in its upkeep and has retained the hall, improving and modernising it as appropriate. The hall is beautifully and tastefully decorated in a neutral palette, making it an ideal backdrop for your wedding reception venue.

Inside and Outside spaces

With gardens outside and a large car park, you have options within the use of the hall for beautiful photographs (or why not take a stroll around the village or down some of the picturesque lanes for some dramatic backgrounds for your wedding photographs).

The garden area and grassed area out the front have been used with gazebos and marquees in the past, so come and have a look and see what options are available.

Facilities and local suppliers

The hall committee can work with you to suggest local suppliers and catering providers for every budget and taste. We can work with you to ensure everything that you need in the hall is available - we can offer a tablecloth laundering service, wine glasses, crockery, tables, etc. We are a flexible small committee, and we can work with you to ensure the wedding reception of your dreams while allowing the creativity of couples to create their own reception when in a village hall-type setting.

The hall can seat over 90 people for a sit-down meal, or more people can be accommodated if you are looking for a sit-and-stand informal reception.

We are able to offer a stage and lighting (by prior request) for any live music you may have in your evening reception. We offer a fully-equiped kitchen with crockery and cutlery. Tables and chairs are available. We even have a small meeting room which can be used as a storage area or changing area, babysitting room, or whatever your party requires.
