Armada House is a historic wedding venue situated in the heart of Bristol city centre, just a few minutes walk from the Bristol Registry Office. Built in 1901, Armada House has a rich history, with its location on Telephone Avenue becoming known in 1958 after Queen Elizabeth II made the first operator-free telephone call in the United Kingdom. This magnificent Edwardian building has been renovated and now features three stunning spaces that combine modern elegance with original period features, such as oak panelling, Elizabethan staircases and spectacular fireplaces, to create a unique, romantic and historic atmosphere.

Facilities and Capacity

Armada House is home to multiple breathtaking event spaces. Enter through the grand foyer and choose between the Elizabeth Suite or Wallace Lounge on the ground floor, or the Brunel Room on the first floor.

The Elizabeth Suite is the quintessential wedding space. With parquet floors, large windows and stunning décor, this spacious and elegant space is perfect for a royal wedding. With a marble-topped oak bar, stage and projector, integrated AV and sound system, and Rako mood lighting, the Elizabeth Suite has everything you need for your special day. This space can accommodate up to 170 people standing, 150 seated for ceremony and 120 for banquet-style seating.

The Wallace Lounge is a sophisticated and decadent room. This space features a beautiful marble-topped curved oak bar that can be divided with a floor-to-ceiling curtain to create a more intimate atmosphere. The Wallace Lounge is equipped with an integrated sound system and Rako mood lighting. This space can accommodate up to 60 people standing and 60 sitting, in ceremony or banquet style.

On the first floor, you will find the beautiful Brunel room. This space retains many gorgeous historical features, including parquet floors, oak-panelled walls and a magnificent 17th-century fireplace. The Observatory room is romantic, intimate and perfect for a fairytale ceremony. Up to 50 guests can attend a ceremony in this beautiful and historic space.

Elevate your experience on our stunning Rooftop, a brand-new space that's ideal for intimate receptions. Enjoy dazzling sunshine or sparkling starry nights on the terrace and celebrate in style in the sophisticated lounge bar. The Rooftop has capacity for up to 50 guests and boasts a fully-stocked bar, Rako mood lighting and sound system to create your perfect atmosphere.
