Facilities and Capacity

At Auchen Castle we offer weddings from 2 guests to a max 110 day and 150 evening guests. Ceremonies can take place indoor at the state rooms, turrets or outdoor or at a church in nearby Moffat. Drinks reception can be in the bar, lounges & outdoor on grounds. Dependent on numbers have your wedding breakfast and evening reception in the secluded turret or beautiful state room overlooking the picturesque grounds and pond. We are dog friendly & love a rehearsal dinner and post day buffet or BBQ.

Experience a specially created seven-course menu with perfectly paired wines & have your pre-ceremony room for getting ready, a ceremony room & a lovely wedding breakfast room. Our wedding turrets can be decorated to your taste by our wonderful suppliers, ensuring your wish is their command. It's very rare to be able to have a small wedding in a big castle, but despite the grand stature of the Auchen Castle, we have plenty of smaller suites for smaller weddings; we call them 'Perfectly Petite'. All the luxury and grandeur of a castle wedding, with the intimacy of a small boutique hotel.

Exclusive Use Weddings:
Auchen Castle becomes your very own castle for your wedding day, with exclusive use of all reception rooms, bedrooms, and gardens, accommodating up to 52 guests overnight. Dining for 110 guests, dancing for 150 & the opportunity to extend your celebrations make your fairytale weekend.
