Barn & Farm Wedding Venues in Devon

We cannot thank you engough!!! From the moment of making our first enquiry with Tracey, being shown around and answering our questions, booking our wedding, and throughout our stay it’s been amazing from start to finish... The venue is amazing with stunning views across the rolling Devon hills, the fantastic on site accommodation and what can we say about the purpose built new barn, but wow, this needs to be seen to be beleived!!! We have had so many lovely comments from our family and guest who stayed and joined us for our wedding day, about Country Ways and the whole team. The country ways family and team go way above and beyond to help in every way possible, They seem to maigically make the whole process and day so stress free, How they do it, we are unsure, they make it look so effortless. As a previous reveiwer said, Tracey was like a little fairy god mother, and we could not agree more.... she is amazing and should be so proud of what she and the family have created.. We had an amazing time at Hawke Barn venue for our wedding. The rustic setting was perfect, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and made sure all the details were handled. It was exactly the laid-back, cozy atmosphere we were looking for. Highly recommend for a relaxed and beautiful wedding day!

We got married at Valleyside Barn at the end of July 2024. We literally could not be happier with our choice of venue, the barn, outdoor courtyard and grounds are stunning! The owners, Matt and Emma are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. From the moment we booked Valleyside Barn, we knew we were in very capable hands. Emma is super efficient and was always on hand to answer any queries and to provide recommendations all the way from booking up to the day itself. Prior to the wedding (and after) Matt was always around ensuring that the venue was in impeccable condition inside and out. We were blessed with beautiful weather and got married in their outdoor courtyard which is just so pretty, but there is the bonus that they have a few areas where you can get married depending on your preference and weather. We had the added pressures of getting married and planning a wedding with a small baby and two dogs. Emma and Matt went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible. Emma ensured the honeymoon suite was ready for us all and even provided a travel cot, highchair, bouncer, activity mat, baby bath and dog bowls! Also, at the end of the evening some of our guests and children also couldn’t get a taxi at the end of the night so Matt did several trips to their accommodation to make sure they all got back safe! We literally couldn’t have asked for more. On the day itself, everything went so smoothly thanks to Emma and Matt. They made the whole day flow seamlessly, such as moving from the ceremony area to the main barn and setting up for the evening - it wasn’t even noticeable. The only downside we have is that it’s now over but we are planning on returning to stay in their glamping safari tents!

We have just finished our wedding weekend, using Westhay for our afternoon/evening reception, and it was absolutely wonderful. My partner and I initially met Zoe over a year ago, had a good look around the premises, and Zoe was very clear in detailing what was included, how the ‘hire’ would work, and was open and accommodating with our requests. Zoe stayed in regular contact with both us, and Katie, our wedding planner/stylist, and worked closely with Katie in the days before the event and on the day itself, to ensure our wedding went smoothly and that we were happy. Zoe’s warm, friendly and approachable demeanor meant we never felt a ‘bother’, or that we couldn’t ask questions in the run up to the day. Although the venue itself is very rustic, this was exactly the blank canvas we wanted to imprint our stylists ideas onto, and there were no issues from any of our suppliers in accessing the venue, getting set up, or running services. We can’t recommend Westhay enough, and are just sad we can’t do it all over again!

[ ] Well what can I say about Dena and The Barn at Higher Beardon. We went to view the venue last August 2023 and our first impressions were wow! We put our own touch in the barn and with dena decorating it all looked stunning. Dena and her team are so friendly and helpful and went be above and beyond making our big day special to us. We wanted a stress free wedding and it sure was that. I(the bride) never got stressed because i knew everything looked incredible..Dena made sure everything was perfect for us and it was! The food was yummy and everyone enjoyed all of it. The bar had amazing choices of drinks achohol and non achohol/ soft drinks. My husband is a lorry driver and he asked dena if he could take his lorry for pictures we thought it might be too big to take but dena said yes and she organised it to be near the barn so we could get pictures. Dena and team helped us by getting a dj as we completely forgot it was bank hoilday weekend and everyone was booked but oh my the dj was incredible. He made a playlist with all our favourite songs, he played the piano when I walked down the aisle and while we were eating in the background was just perfect. I'm so glad we went with dena choice of dj. Also dena said she knew a photographer and we looked at his pictures he done for wedding before at the barn and they were gorgeous so dena helped us with all the contracting of photographer and dj. Then we needed a celebrant and of course dena said she knew one so we met the lovely hilary and what an amazing women she is. We met her 4/5 times before our big day and she listened to what we wanted in our ceremony and it was amazing no dry eye in the room. The parking was great, always someone out there to help people park and where to park even made a space for people who had leave early.. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the toilets were perfect as wasn't too far from the venue for people who couldn't walk too far. I can't recommend dena, team and the barn enough. It was an incredible day with perfect venue perfect team perfect EVERYTHING!!! Thankyou to dena and team... xx

We were sold from the minute we found Wonwood Barton, it was the perfect wedding venue for us. We wanted a barn, DIY feel venue that could house some guests, offer camping and had a relaxed feel. That is exactly what we got. The venue is so beautiful that it doesn't require much decoration and there are so many different areas around the courtyard that we were able to use for different purposes. This meant that our photos were great too. We used the summer marquee in the green field package which meant that we could have a great party and were lucky enough to be able to get married outside. Bill, Claudine and Will were so helpful along the way and Bill helped to show us how to set up the tables the day before. Having the venue for the whole weekend meant that we could enjoy the beautiful scenery the night before the big day and get set up for the wedding too! I really can't reccomend Wonwood Barton enough, it holds a special place in our hearts now!

We had the most amazing weekend celebrating our wedding with our friends and family. Katherine & John were incredibly helpful and The Oak Barn is a beautiful venue. We loved the flexibility of being able to use suppliers of our choice and we were able to decorate the Oak Barn as we wanted. The accomodation available for family to stay was fantastic. Thanks again for a great weekend.

Debs and I got married at Windout Farm in July 2021; on the top lawn overlooking the valley, with swallows ducking and diving over our heads. The setting is truly breathtaking with the valley stretching out beyond the farm as the back drop to where we stood to make our vows. The barn has rustic, old English charm and provides a perfect place to continue celebrating in to the night. We were so well looked after by the Windout team, the communication throughout was excellent and they gave us such a warm welcome. Wouldn't have changed any part of our day!

Had the most wonderful day at Knights Farm wedding barn. Emily and Luke were so helpful for every aspect in the lead up and on the day. The barn has amazing space, giving you the ease to have dinner and dance completely separately - no waiting for tables to be packed down before you can get on the dance floor. A beautiful rustic pre set up bar and great outdoor space for summer sun filled evenings. The ceremony in the top feild was also so stunning to have that Devon landscape as our backdrop to our vows. Loved it! Thankyou Knight farm!
