Assembly Rooms and Roman Baths wedding

Thank you very much for all your hard work to make our day so special. It was a fantastic day, so thank you! The venues were so impressive and the guests I think were really taken aback! The baths were amazing.
Thank you for all of your hard work, your rapid response to my emails and calls, and your dedication to make our day work.

Beautiful place, out of touch staff

We had our wedding reception at the Guildhall, specifically the banqueting room. A grand and beautiful room fit for a grand day. The room is what it is, if this aesthetic is what you desire here it is for a fair price. The walls need a paint job and the carpet needs updating but that’s about all that is visibly wrong. The issue is behind the curtains at this venue. We views the venue and one lady advertised herself as the wedding coordinator. Under that condition we decided to move forward, knowing we had a teammate on our big day. However, she became more of an adversary than a teammate. She took absolutely no initiative and withheld information. For example we hired an easel then she told us the day before that she has one on site! Even though we had asked. She allowed the bar to be set up completely against plan and then said it couldn’t be moved. She allowed evening food cutlery to just sit in a pile when we provided pre-folded napkins for them to be placed in. And most importantly she made my violinist put down his instrument and provide a microphone that she had neglected to get working. This meant we ate in silence and that money I paid for the violinist and cellist was a waste. Not to mention she had the best man trying to make sound equipment work.

The Guildhall has nothing in reserve. If you have your event here, it is down to you to provide absolutely everything. They restrict you to 3 chefs that they will waive the cleaning fee for and they are all overpriced. The kitchen fee is £350.

Overall the lack of communication the lack of coordination and the lack of taking initiative made me need to chastise the wedding co ordinator and the team on the wedding day. I said I don’t wish to have this conversation with anyone let alone in my wedding day. She needs to be replaced with someone competent who can turn the profit the taxpayer deserves out if this national treasure. The whole team at the Guildhall is slow, old, and, doesn’t have a clue. Nice building though.

Roman Baths wedding

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you to you and the entire team at the Roman Baths.
The Roman Baths is an exceptional venue in which to get married and the experience was significantly complimented by the first class customer service we all experienced, from the first point of contact to the evening itself - thank you!!

Roman Baths and Assembly Rooms

We’ve lost count of the number of guests who told us how much they loved the venues, how great it was to use the Bath Assembly Rooms to “assemble” as they were originally designed for, and how atmospheric the Roman Baths were on the night. It was all, in a word, perfect!

Fantastic, romantic venue

We had the most wonderful evening on Sunday, the Roman Bath’s are absolutely stunning at night... it really was the most fantastic, romantic venue to hold our ceremony at.

The staff are all really wonderful too. Honestly, we couldn’t fault the whole experience!
Thank you for all your help in the lead up to our wedding!

Roman Baths wedding

My youngest daughter was married at the baths this Sunday gone. What can I say. The venue was exquisite, the atmosphere exceptional, the meal stunning, and the service unbelievable. I would like to send a special thanks to whoever was in the background organising to the day. But a special thank you to, Otto who on the night looked after all of us and provided reassurance and advice at an extremely nervous time for me and my family. Then to the chef and his team including the servers, who delivered hot, and the most enjoyable food at any sit down wedding I have been to. Your bar staff, always helpful, nothing too much trouble. It was a magical day and such a memorable time. I sincerely hope your staff enjoyed their time with us as we did with them on this very special occasion at an amazing location.
