An absolute stunning venue, expertly managed

We got married in April 2023, and everything in the build-up to, and on the day, was pretty much flawless. The venue itself is stunning and perfect due to it's different breakout areas; and the team are friendly, organised and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that's looking for a London based venue.

Breathtaking wedding venue

Coming from South London, we knew we wanted a London wedding, but finding a venue as unique and incredible as Battersea Arts Centre was a complete bonus. We hired the Council Chamber for our ceremony and the Grand Hall for our reception and had the Octagonal Hall for our drinks reception and speeches. The venue is truly like no other, and our guests, along with us, were completely blown away by its beauty.

We added some extra decorations to the spaces but the venue itself is spectacular even without them. The lighting, including uplighters, dapple lighting, and festoon string lighting, was done incredibly well. The team at Battersea Arts Centre knows how to highlight the building's inherent charm, creating an atmosphere that is both magical and enchanting.

A special mention goes to Mat and their team. Mat was our events manager and our primary contact throughout the process. Their attention to detail was impeccable, and their communication was perfect, making us feel incredibly reassured and listened to at every stage. Mat provided thorough walkthroughs, liaised seamlessly with all our suppliers, and ensured that everything on the day went off without a hitch. Their dedication and skill were evident in the flawless execution of our event. Mat was a pleasure to work with—a genuinely lovely person who made the entire experience enjoyable.

Battersea Arts Centre exceeded all our expectations and provided a wedding experience we will cherish forever. If you’re looking for a unique and breathtaking venue in south London, this is it.

Amazing, unique venue with enthusiastic, hard working staff

We had the most incredible wedding at the BAC. Naomi, Nas and their team were so friendly, enthusiastic & professional from our very first meeting.

The building itself is so gorgeous and such a unique venue, we loved that it looked so great we didn’t need to worry about decorating the room. The food was absolutely delicious & really generous portions, and compared to other caterers seemed really good value for money. Naomi and her team were on top of every detail and very flexible to a few last minute changes! On the day, they made sure everything ran super smoothly and took care of any issues which meant we were totally relaxed to enjoy our day.

The only thing I was surprised about was that we were expected to pay corkage on any alcohol that we didn’t end up drinking if it was leftover which I thought seemed a bit cheeky. But that’s only a small detail in an otherwise amazing experience.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the BAC as the perfect venue for a London wedding, we couldn’t have had a better day and only wish we could do it all again!

Stressful process and a thrown away cake!

We had our wedding at BAC in December 2021, we had a beautiful day and the venue was a stunning back drop.
However, the service was rather disappointing from the beginning. Email responses were very slow, even leading up to weeks before the wedding. Flexibility was challenging with a few hidden costs for extra features, which was frustrating considering the hire of the venue alone is quite pricey.
On the day of the wedding adults were served their food first, which left children waiting for theirs, this was quite frustrating because on the day of your wedding you just want everything to run smoothly. Also we paid for bread for the tables, but there was no bread.
At the end of the night the events manager ensured me that the rest of the cake would be in the fridge for us to collect the next day, as well as the rest of the flowers that we had paid a lot of money for. When my Dad arrived the next day to collect the flowers and the cake, they had been chucked away; which was very disheartening and upsetting. Following on from this the events team at battersea denied that they had thrown them away and accused us of agreeing to throw the cake away. I don't know anyone who would agree to throw a £500 cake away.
To add, I handmade table numbers by pressing flowers in small glass frames, at the end of the night whilst they were packing away, I walked into the back room to collect our things only to find all the table numbers I had spent weeks making smashed all over the floor :(
It is these reasons that I would not recommend battersea arts centre as a wedding venue, as the whole organisational process was very stressful and they were irresponsible with our cake and flowers.

Thank you!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your hard work in helping us to make Sunday a very special day. It went so well, everyone commented on the venue, on how brilliant it was and how it worked so well for the kids. Your team were so on it on the day and the band also commented on how helpful all the staff were. Thanks for your professionalism and support and everything from the tastings, to table set up, video showing and sound. I would highly recommend it as a venue to anyone. Thanks for looking after me and calming my nerves! I’ve always loved coming to the BAC to see gigs and shows but now it has a special place in my heart.

Truly magnificent!

We had a truly amazing day, thank you! All our guests were blown away by BAC, from the building to the food to the friendliness of all the staff. Praise was also heaped on Frankie's food - particularly the homemade taste (that's a massive compliment) and the gigantic pavlova.

We loved having our wedding here! So special.

We had our wedding reception at BAC in October 2013; it was absolutely incredible! The venue was perfect for us; spacious (we had 300 guests for dancing!) and super-fun, but also had a really lovely homely, vintage feel which was perfect for us and our wedding's theme. The band looked and sounded incredible on the stage and we still get comments about how fun our day was. The staff were fantastic to deal with; we felt like we had a wedding planning team behind us! :) As locals, we absolutely loved having our wedding at such a special Battersea place, and we still walk past it and smile.

August 9th 2014

The Council Chamber in the BAC was the perfect reception venue for our wedding. It's such a quirky, fun venue and we were able to achieve the exact feel we hoped for on our wedding day. We worked with several different staff over the course of the year leading up to our wedding day, they were all extremely helpful, prompt in replying to emails and took time to talk to us and understand what we were hoping for. We loved the long tables and fairy lights and they even provided us with a small stage for the band and funky armchairs from the cafe downstairs, which we had up on stage for us to sit in during the speeches. They were also very helpful when it came to the practical arrangements, like providing places to store our bags and reserving a parking space for our car and a disabled space for our Grandparent's car. It was almost 2 years ago now, but whenever we pass the BAC it brings back a special feeling as we remember a wonderful day. Thanks so much!
