Battleswick Farm is a licensed venue allowing couples to tie the knot not only inside but in 2023 a rare exception was made to allow couples to legally get married underneath the enchanting Chestnut tree which sits on a picturesque field.

Inside the farm's 500-year-old, the Threshing Bar can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. The rustic charm of the barn, combined with its rich history, makes it the perfect setting for a romantic and unforgettable wedding. The second area is under the haybarn, where guests can enjoy the fresh country air, surrounded by the picturesque countryside. This location is perfect for couples who want a more relaxed and informal wedding.

Finally, the third area is outside, under the magnificent chestnut tree, which provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. This location is perfect for couples who want a natural, elegant, boho outdoor wedding.

Facilities and Capacity

Full access to Battleswick Farm and its event spaces are included in the wedding package, allowing you to decide how this unique venue fits into your big day. The Threshing Barn is an indoor space catering for up to 120 guests for a seated reception and 150 for the ceremony. This whimsical setting is illuminated by twinkling lights and uplighting, creating a rustic atmosphere for your celebrations. Or host an outdoor gathering under the Haybarn. This venue is suitable for up to 150 guests and is characterised by its rustic farmyard atmosphere. You are welcome to decorate the barns however you like, adding a personal touch to the festivities. Both venues feature a fully equipped bar and PA systems to truly get your party started. The Field is a picturesque outdoor setting looked upon by a beautiful chestnut tree. Say ‘I do’ beneath this tree or use this area to sip on drinks from the nearby Silo Bar. There are ample bathroom facilities throughout the property for the convenience of you and your guests.

In 2024 a shepherds hut will be nestled among the trees for the couple or guests to utilise. Later in the year, there will also be a catering kitchen for cooks to utilise. By the end of the summer, our café will be open for you to have breakfast with all your guests before everyone departs home.

From 2025 will be slowly unveiling more accommodations starting with two family rooms, the honeymoon suite which will overlook the fields as well as give you the perfect platform to watch the sunset. A connecting salon will house all you need for the bridal party to prepare the morning of your big day complete with south-facing dressing stations, a lounge area and a bar! In the following years, we will be unveiling more accommodation, 10 double rooms with ensuites and an indoor-outdoor spa.

Services Offered

Battleswick Farm can provide, tables, and picnic benches for your wedding festivities. You will have access to the venue from the day before your wedding so all of your decor set-up can be completed in advance. Tipis and marquees will need to be organised by the hiring if they wish to use them however the barn and courtyard a more than ample to accommodate evening needs. Aaron, Mandy, and the team would be thrilled to provide you with a list of recommended suppliers to help you bring your wedding vision to life.
