Nestled amidst 3,000 acres of parkland just 1.5 miles from Shrewsbury town centre, Berwick Estate is a spectacular Grade II* manor and gardens steeped in British history and character.
Built in the 18th Century with the sole intent of entertaining and impressing, Berwick was host to an endless succession of balls, theatre, hunts, and garden parties. As home to the Watson family and their eighteen staff, Berwick held receptions and lavish dinner parties for hundreds of guests throughout the year. Fires roared in every hearth, light poured from every window, and the sound of laughter, music and revelry echoed through each room.
However, as the house passed from generation to generation, the parties began to dwindle, and Berwick’s crowded halls fell quiet. Rooms previously full of warmth grew dark and the fine silverware began to tarnish. Berwick settled into a deep slumber. Frozen in time as more of a museum than a home, the family acted as guardians of a distant past.
But now, Berwick’s sixth generation has chosen to turn back the clock. Since inheriting the house in 2017, we have removed the dust sheets and painstakingly restored the estate to its former glory. Today’s Berwick is once again a space of extravagance, warmth, and joy. A space for celebration and love. A space brought to life by the people who dance and laugh through its corridors.
And for the first time in over 300 years, we are handing you the key.

Berwick House was a private family home for over six generations. Today, the same family opens its doors and welcomes you to experience Berwick as your own home.
Berwick is exclusively exclusive -- you will never feel like you're on the "wedding conveyor belt". A limited number of events are accepted each year.
Plan a lush day event for the ground floor, or a long and unforgettable stay with exclusive use of the entire house - How you choose to enjoy Berwick is entirely up to you!
This beautiful estate offers its lavish interior as your setting for your celebration. Inside you will find hand-carved and oak-panelled walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, large marble fireplaces, stained glass, and tall corniced ceilings adorned with crystal chandeliers. Every wedding enjoys exclusive use of our Georgian Library, marble-topped bar, main hall with stained glass ceiling, light-filled double Drawing Room, Dining Room, Snooker Room, and much more.
With 10 licensed spaces in and around the House and Gardens, you have the freedom to choose your perfect civil ceremony setting. Opt for flexible ceremonial use of Little Berwick Chapel, just a short stroll from Berwick House. It was built in 1672, seats up to 170 guests, and is adorned with stained glass, bells, and an original organ. Seat up to 120 guests in our Drawing Room for your wedding breakfast -- or take it to a marquee in the gardens for an even larger formality. Up to 500 guests can enjoy the interior of Berwick House.
Berwick is easily accessible by foot, public transportation, or car. For a breath of fresh air, stroll through Berwick's 11 acres of blossoming gardens, finding plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

A day we shall remember for the rest of our lives.
100% Magical and amazing!
Berwick itself, is like stepping in a film and we were mesmerised. It huge, we personally chose and requested to close off some of the house to keep our guests together- which once again Kassidy and Will fully supported our decision and made it possible!
Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, and all suppliers worked well together and Kassidy and Will were more than accommodating.
We had the horror of our one supplier letting us down, kassidy was so calm and literally problem solved and came out with a miracle.
We would recommend the house, the church and the service! I wish we could do it over and over again! We had nothing we would change.

The most incredible wedding venue!
Will and Kassidy were so helpful, allowing us to visit the venue beforehand to scope it out and lay our plans. Nothing was too much effort for them, and they were so accommodating in helping us create our dream wedding.
One of the biggest bonuses of Berwick House is the fact we could have lots of guests stay in the house the night before and after the wedding, meaning loved ones who had to travel long distances had a convenient place to stay. It was really special for us all to be able to spend time together getting the venue ready the day before. All the rooms were beautiful and spacious, with towels and dressing gowns provided. It truly is a stunning place to get ready and the wedding photos from the bridal prep on the morning of the wedding look incredible.
The grounds are stunning and kids loved running round them. This place is a photographer’s dream with all the beautiful backdrops available.
The fact that Berwick is dry hire enabled us to make this wedding as affordable and personalised as we like. Instead of having overpriced set menus, we could choose our caterers to suit our budget and tastes. There is an awesome bar next to the main hall which we stocked ourselves for a decent price. The flexibility of this venue is wonderful.
We had 125 guests and they were easily accommodated, with rooms like the library being a good getaway for people who want some peace and quiet away from the craziness of the party.
We had a ceilidh in the main hall which worked great, and lent itself to some awesome photos from the balconies above.
Will and Kassidy were so helpful whilst we were setting up and on the wedding day, always available to lend a hand and to sort anything out we needed. One of them was always in the office so we knew where to find them if we had any issues.
I could go on and on about how wonderful this venue is, but in conclusion, we couldn’t have got married anywhere better and highly recommend you view Berwick for your wedding.
Unbelievable and fantastic Choice & Support
My wife & I couldn't have wished for a better venue to start our married lives together! The pictures, the beauty of the building, the captivating places for dancing and mingling together made it spectacularly special. I'd have regretted choosing elsewhere.
Absolute Perfection!
The venue is a complete dry hire which means you can have your own decor, entertainment, food etc. Kassidy was extremely helpful in helping me find vendors and she helped me set up the tables and chairs the day before. Being a dry hire allowed to bring in alpacas and ice cream as my entertainment! Not sure how many other venues would allow this!
Our families stayed the night before and the rooms were all beautiful, particularly the bridal suite. It’s clear to see how much time, effort and love has gone into each room. Everyone was amazed. Kassidy was on hand whenever we needed her, from providing extra mattresses to finding me an extension cord on the morning of the wedding.
The actual grounds of the venue are just simply stunning. Again, you can see how much care and effort has gone into maintaining it all. Every single guest commented on what a beautiful setting it was for the wedding.
Communication with Kassidy was also great, she answered every email and text fairly quickly and gave the impression that nothing was too much - We can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us!!
I would strongly encourage all couples to visit and you’ll fall in love with Berwick House just as much as we did.

Stunning Wedding Venue you dream about....
The grounds are absolutely stunning more can any picture can do justice. My partner and I had the absolute pleasure to get married there two weeks ago and we are still receiving texts, phone calls and messages on how magical the day was and how beautiful Berwick House really is. To have exclusive access to such a beautiful location for a whole weekend was a gem most people do not get to experience.
From start to finish from signing last August until now, Berwick House has gone above and beyond to make us so comfortable, keeping up positive communications, aiding and assisting where necessary and physically getting stuck in with decorating, liaising with suppliers and generally making our weekend so special.
You will not regret booking here! It truly was a dream come true and we can't wait to see their future success.

Fantastic venue with creative freedom
The Pritchard Wedding
We hired a private caterer for the wedding breakfast who found the catering amenities at the house to be perfect. We had 150 guests in total and there was plenty of space for all of us.
My husband and I stayed at Berwick after the wedding (as did a few of wedding party) and the rest of our guests caught taxis back into town (less than 5 mins away).
I would 100% recommend this house to get married in, the whole experience was wonderful and if I could do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks to all at Berwick for giving us the best start to our marriage!

The Main Event
Promptly at 7pm the evenings entertainment will begin in the main hall. Journey with The White Rabbit, Alice and the rest of Wonderland as the Mad Hatter plots to steal the crown and the Queen looks to find a new husband.
Guests will be guided by various characters into immersive break out rooms as the madness unfolds around them with regular intervals for rest, refreshments and exploring.
Live Band - Silver Tongue
After the Queen’s court is adjourned and balance is restored to Wonderland the party will commence with two sets from Shropshire’s critically acclaimed indie-rock five piece - Silver Tongue.
The Kit-Cat Cabaret
Our VIP Guests can enjoy a further 60 minutes of live entertainment in the Cheshire Cat’s infamous nightclub - the Kit-Cat club after the main entertainment in the house concludes.
Afterparty
Once our Cabaret entertainment reaches its conclusion, guests are invited back to the Manor House to enjoy more drinks, canapés and dancing until carriages at 1:30am.
