Bothy Glasgow is a quintessential Scottish pub and well-established culinary institution for the perfect traditional micro wedding venue setting. It is tucked away from the throng of the busy West End and discovered via the charming cobbles of Ruthven Lane.

With a menu crafted by provenance and passion, you will find seasonal Scottish produce at the heart of every dish. No dinner is complete without a drink that pairs perfectly, so you will also find a carefully curated drinks menu full of Scottish whisky, gins, locally distilled spirits, and more.

We are delighted to present “The Scullery,” our beautifully atmospheric private dining room that can host intimate weddings, celebrations, and other special events. When the Scottish sun finally presents itself, The Bothy Garden is a quiet and quaint outdoor space, perfect for a light celebratory lunch or a refreshing gin and tonic from a local distiller.

We never intentionally tried to become a “wedding venue,” but we have happily hosted more wedding celebrations throughout the years. It fills our hearts with pride that you would choose us as a venue, and we enjoy our newfound love of being the “antidote” of big, over-the-top, off-the-shelf weddings.

We love collaborating with couples and believe they generally have a vision for a small, intimate, warm wedding style with Scottish produce.

This stunning venue is just minutes from local churches, chapels, and beauty spots, including the fantastic Glasgow University and the picturesque Botanic Gardens. We are also just a short car journey from the local registry offices.

Our Spaces

The Scullery is our private dining room tucked away from the world. It is a beautiful, atmospheric room with a rustic, original fireplace, plenty of natural light, and exposed stone. This room is perfect for seated celebrations and dining for groups between 14 and 24.

The Bothy Restaurant—Our main restaurant space is also available for exclusive use on selected dates. It is perfect for slightly larger celebrations, with more room to drink the night away and nibble on canapés while you chat with your guests.

The Bothy Garden—Our private outside terrace is perfect for fair weather days and can be used for drinks, chatter, and photographs. This area is dressed and finished with cosy blankets.

Our menus change throughout the year to reflect the different seasons and the produce available to our head chef. Our ingredients are sourced in Scotland, from beef from the stormy Island of Orkney to cheese from the beautiful Isle of Arran.
