I cannot thank the staff at Bowburn Hall enough for what they did for my wedding day. On the run up to the day, any questions or concerns I had were raised and responded to promptly and kindly. They were fully flexible with all of our needs, absolutely nothing was a trouble. I knew from the get go that everything would be in safe hands at Bowburn, which as an anxious bride to be, is all you can really ask for. Callum was the Manager on duty the day of our wedding and wow, the level of attentiveness shown towards not only me and my husband, but all of our guests, was second to none. He calmed my nerves incredibly well and kept me focussed and he helped the groomsmen and other guests by attaching their button holes for them, which was a really lovely touch. He checked in with us regularly throughout the day to make sure we were happy, asking if we needed anything at all. When he was due to finish his shift, he introduced us to the member of staff who would be looking after us for the evening, again ensuring us that someone was available at all times should we need anything. The day ran beyond smoothly, I am very lucky to say there was no hiccups throughout the whole day and I know that we have Bowburn staff - particularly Callum - to thank for that. Bowburn really is a hidden gem, not many of our guests had heard of it prior to our wedding, but I know many have returned for food as they were blown away by the food, service and warm atmosphere the venue brings. From their amazing gardens, delicious food, delicious food and amazing staff, there really isn’t another Bowburn. For that reason, please don’t look any further when considering your Wedding venue, I promise you will be in the safest hands!

We had the most magical time at our wedding evening from start to finish. All our guests loved the food and service provided, I wish we could do it all again.

From start to finish the staff at Bowburn made our wedding a very easy ride. From our initial meeting, booking our wedding and the endless emails we sent, no question was a stupid question and nothing seemed too much. To asking for Bellinis for our toast drink, cocktails and beers for our celebratory drink after the ceremony, to throwing the confetti indoors, setting up the room just how we visioned - nothing was too much! The answer was always yes of course. The package was also amazing - getting your table decorations included, sending ideas over and if that isn’t something they had they would arrange. Also, getting sprays of flowers to decorate the room matching the bouquets I had, to even all the music we chose on the day being checked and played with no hassle. It really was faultless and it showed with how professional all the staff were. We had so many comments from our guests at how magical the day was, and it truly was. The food was incredible, the venue looked amazing, and the staff were so attentive. We could not have faulted the day at all! I recommend the venue to everyone and still will. We wouldn’t of changed a thing about the day and really can’t thank all the team enough for making it so perfect!

Callum and his team at Bowburn Hall are knowledgable, patient, creative, attentive...the list goes on. Our wedding was perfect, from our first showround to the morning after the big day, and we simply cannot thank them enough. The hotel and the gardens are simply stunning, our photos are gorgeous and will be proudly on display in our home forever.

We loved Bowburn as soon as we set foot in it back in 2018 when we were looking at wedding venues after getting engaged. The staff were so lovely and the manager at the time couldn’t have been more helpful! We set our date for March 2020 and we missed it by a week as the nation went into lockdown. The manager really stepped up and was amazing helping us where possible and we rearranged twice, each time with lots of reassurance that everything would still be as we had planned on the day. We opted for exclusive hire package which meant we had the whole place to ourselves the entire day and we had lots included - table decorations, flowers, a postbox for cards, a dressed table for gifts, a photo booth and amazing food. We opted for the afternoon tea as our wedding breakfast as we had a late ceremony and the hog roast on the evening which tasted unreal! The guests were all extremely happy.
We finally got our day in March 2022 and it was everything we dreamed of and more. The day went perfectly and Tom was fab making sure everything was set out the way it should be and he was even there for reassurance for myself that it was going to be a great day - I was very nervous before walking down the aisle!!
The whole team provided an unforgettable day and we are so glad we chose this venue. Thank you Bowburn!

An excellent experience from start to finish, from the moment of booking our wedding to the actual day, the staff at the hotel were fantastic making the planning so much easier and stress free. On the actual day Tom was amazing and made the whole day flow beautifully, we didn't have to worry about anything and the whole day was just a dream.

Our original wedding date was cancelled due to covid. Bowburn went out of there way to ensure a available date. We provisionally booked 4 dates in total and kept having to cancel due to covid!

Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. All the staff were so amazing and we really felt they were invested in our special day being perfect for us. To Lucy (assistant manager) making sure there was a gluten free option for my bridesmaid, to the chef specifically asking me the next day how my meal was, to the staff accommodating our specific requests such as having 3 options for welcome drinks. Nothing felt to be to big of an ask. It was our perfect dream wedding and bowburn hall and all the staff definitely made that happen.

We had the most amazing wedding day from start to finish at Bowburn hall. Staff where so helpful and friendly and nothing was a problem. Food was beautiful and the most special part for us was being able to have our ceremony outside in the beautiful gardens. Special memories we will treasure for life ❤️ thank you Bowburn Hall!

We had our wedding here in June 2012 and the hotel was excellent. All of the staff were very professional and the quality of food for the wedding breakfast and evening buffet was outstanding. The service during our meal was very efficient without us feeling rushed.

The layout of the hotel is great and having the conservatory for a drinks reception is really useful. We booked out all the rooms for our guests and the venue felt very intimate and like our own little place.

Craig (manager) and Craig (assistant manager) were very organised in the lead up to the day, ensured that everything went to plan and couldn’t do enough to help. They were also more than willing to accommodate small changes to our timetable to enable photographs to be taken outside during a break from the showers.

This is an exceptional venue in the north east for a wedding and definitely a hidden gem.
