I loved everything about this wedding venue. 1) the staff: the personnel is so professional and welcoming. My husband and I were assigned a wedding planner - Sophie - (FREE OF CHARGE!) and she was absolutely fantastic. She accommodated all of our requests, and even accommodated last minute changes seamlessly. She took care of all our vendors and coordinated every aspect smoothly! I was completely stress free on the day 2) the venue: this venue was just perfect. My husband and I travelled the whole of England trying to find the perfect venue and the moment we viewed this one we were lost for words. Everything about this venue gives luxury, classy and elegance. You can tell that a lot of hard maintenance work goes into keeping the venue spotless. We’re from London and all our guests were confused as to why we chose Bradford BUT the moment they arrived they were incredibly surprised and only had good things to say. We opted for the unlimited mocktails bar and everyone loved it - the drinks were of good quality. Quite a lot is included in the fixed venue fee of 10k. You don’t really have to even decorate the hall because as part of what you pay (the 10k) all the tables come dressed with linen, cutlery, centrepieces, table numbers, florals! This is insane ! All the other venues we went to see charged extra ££££ for this! And because the venue already looks luxurious you don’t have to do much, like for example the floor is made of a beautiful white marble so you don’t really need a dancing floor. The walls in the hall have already been painted and decorated by the venue itself to have a luxurious feel. For any other venue we saw we would have had to pay extra £££ to achieve this look. We did however choose to have additional florals, for the high table. Walton View works in partnership with Tayibsweddings and we got a very good price for the look we wanted to achieve for the high table and ceremony room. 3) the rooms on site: the honeymoon suite will make you feel like a queen. It’s absolutely stunning and luxurious. The rooms for the guests that stayed on site were also immaculate. Wow. Every aspect was just perfect! We took the train there and back and it was fairly straightforward from London. Walton View made our dream wedding become a reality! Thank you so much to the team at Walton!

We would like to thank all staff at midland hotel Bradford for giving us a wonderful wedding.Special appreciation to Sharon and Frederica for there attention to detail and guidance. The ball room was fantastic and gave our guests and wow factor, the bridal room was the best and offered all that we needed. The hotel give a grand and Victorian English style ,the decorations on the sealing are magical the chandelier is wonderful and central of discussion among our guests. Food was very good and well presented, staff were very personal and thank you Sharon for going beyond your duties to make the day a success your presence on the day give me and my wife assurance that you cared and in control. We had dismissed the Great Victoria after seeing it on the wedding venue list as somewhere we'd never heard of and just decided to go there for a drink rather than tell them we were coming for a look after being shown round another venue we didnt really like. As soon as we walked in we had the feeling it was perfect for us and so ended up staying for a three course dinner just to make sure! It is a secret gem in Bradford city centre - such a beautiful building, done up modern yet elegant with funky artwork and very friendly staff. Rebecca met with us on several occasions to plan everything and was always really helpful. The day itself in August 2008 was just wonderful. Racquel and Simon were on hand all day, discretely making sure everything went perfectly. Racquel was still smiling at 1am despite being there since 10am the day before. We had a small ceremony in the carmargue and then both the wedding breakfast 20 peopleand evening do 70 people in the gorgeous corniche room just the right size. There is also a separate bar with comfy sofas for chilling out in. It rained all day but it didnt matter as i was happy to stay indoors!plenty of places for photos inside. The food was absolutely excellent and also all the bedrooms our guests stayed in were fab. Finally, our suite on the fourth floor was so amazing that all our ceremony guests came up for a look! I can't recommend the Great Victoria highly enough for a perfect, relaxed wedding day in a really cool,classy, unpretentious venue. We will definitely be back for a meal or two.

What a perfect setting for my special day. The gardens and conference lounge was ideal for our photographs, the food exceptional and the staff fantastic!! Thank you for making my day so special
