We got married at Brinkburn in the Priory on the 5th October, staying the night before and night of the big day. The venue is just absolutely beautiful, the most stunning accommodation and all of our guests were in awe at the Priory and tipi, they are just breathtaking! If you are wanting Pinterest worthy wedding photos… you’ll definitely get them here! Every experience working with the team at Brinkburn has been amazing, from the open days, our menu tasting, the rehearsal to the wedding. Each step is planned to perfection and Ewan like clockwork, Jess our coordinator was not only the most calm and professional person but she helped make us feel right at home and keep stress levels right down! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. By the time we checked out she felt so familiar to us and felt like part of the family, not once did we feel like we were just ‘another couple getting married,’ Jess and the team made us feel so special, they truly care about you and will pull out all stops to give you what your looking for! And the food!… OMG wow it’s by far the best thing you’ll taste in your life!! Dan and the catering team are absolutely brilliant! We had slow cooked shin of beef which just melted in your mouth!

We had a band in the white room where our guests partied all night, but the set up between the white room, tipi and terrace area is just perfect and is something we have never seen anywhere else, our music played through to the tipi so whether you fancied a break from the dance floor or wanted a drink from the bar it didn’t feel like you had to leave the party. Everywhere is so inclusive yet lovely and private at the same time!

Brinkburn is simply MAGICAL!!

Our experience with Brinkburn was great from the very start. The booking was straight forward and the communication through email was quick and professional. The multiple video call/ check in meetings during the planning process were a god send and this made planning experience less stressful, especially when my now husband and I, have very busy work schedules. The venue itself is situated in beautiful, peaceful Northumberland and it felt very private even though the public still had access to the Brinkburn Priory. The accommodation (The Stables and the cottage) was well equipped and immaculate. The hampers on arrival were a lovely touch! The outdoor space with a large table meant that the night before close family could chill outside and eat together and play garden games.

The wedding day itself ran smoothly with the help of Jess, our wonderful wedding coordinator. As the bride, I did not stress in the morning as I knew Jess had everything organised.

After the wedding, the team cleaning up were very friendly and professional.

My visit to Brinkburn was one of the first venues I had booked in to see. As I walked down the drive I just knew it was the perfect place for us. My partner only saw the outside and Priory and knew it was the right place! All other venues we went to after just didn't compare. We loved that you have the whole place to yourselves for the weekend. It's like a magical retreat. Jess and her team were amazing, the day ran like clockwork and nothing was too much of an ask.
We wish we could do the whole weekend again!! If you are thinking about booking just book because Brinkburn is such a magical place and you won't regret it.

I don’t know where to begin, what an amazing place to get married in. When you walk down that bank and see the priory literally everyone says/thinks “wow”.we were there for a long weekend and gutted when it was home time. Everything on the day went to plan and ran so smoothly thanks to Jess the coordinator, she took away all the stress and worry so that on the day we just had to turn up. She is amazing at what she does and you can tell she loves her job by how attentive and on the ball she is with absolutely everything, how people do this without someone like her is beyond me because I wouldn’t know where to start. From day one she gave us a rundown of what we needed to do and suggested suppliers and what vendors have been used before. The food by 1901 is absolutely amazing, all of our guests loved it (I’d get married there again just for the food alone) Dan and his team were so accommodating with everything on their side and if we needed anything, they were just a phone call away. Justine (apologies if I got the name wrong) who took over from Jess for the evening was also amazing. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing as she was there making sure the rest of our day ran just as smooth as earlier. If we needed anything, she popped up out of nowhere and was on it instantly. All the staff on the day in fact were faultless and couldn’t praise them enough, they all played a part in helping making our day what it was, magical. I can’t recommend Brinkburn Priory enough for a wedding, a few of our guests have said they can’t imagine another wedding being as good after attending here and I totally agree. I would have added photos but we we haven’t got them back from the photographer yet 😂

Where to start! As soon as we walked down the path to brinkburn we knew we wanted to get married there! It’s such an amazing and special place. Then we met Jess the true hidden gem of Brinkburn, throughout the planning she is so organised, calm and understanding. We always had all of our trust in her and the team. The day was perfection and felt so stress free knowing the team at brinkburn were totally in control. So many people have told us how perfect the day was and that is so down to this amazing venue and the people involved. Our day was perfect beyond our wildest dreams I can’t thank the team and all the suppliers for giving us memory’s that last a lifetime.

We had our wedding at the stunning Brinkburn Priory, it was quite honestly the most perfect venue for our wedding day!
We stumbled across Brinkburn when looking at potential venues in Northumberland and from the moment we walked down the drive and caught sight of the priory building we loved it - Then we saw the tipi and just knew it was the perfect place for us.
We met Jess (wedding coordinator) who showed us around and talked through dates and was so friendly / helpful / chill / not pushy in any way shape or form.
The run up to our wedding was pretty relaxed, Jess recommended suppliers and we touched base with her throughout the year so there was no mad rush near our day.
The weekend itself was just pure magic from start to finish. We arrived on the Friday and had a quick rehearsal which Jess coordinated and got everyone in the right place, we decorated the Tipi and had close family and friends over in the main house for a meal and drinks. The morning of the wedding felt like it went by in a flash…the team at Brinkburn were busy doing last minute jobs and handing out blankets in the priory (March wedding bloody Baltic) and getting everyone prepped and ready to go. Our ceremony in the priory building was just beautiful and although such a big building, we barely decorated it (because it is just stunning) it felt so intimate as Jess and her team had put out just the right number of chairs for our 75 guests.
The reception drinks were held in the white room with a log burning fire on to warm us all up, it was just great.
We had our wedding breakfast in the tipi and our band in the white room - my favourite part was doing our first dance outside on the terrace with our loved ones all around. The venue is incredible because you have so much space but it feels so intimate and cozy at the same time.
The whole weekend was absolutely perfect, can’t fault a single thing. We love so much the Brinkburn is a family run business and really loved chatting to them about the history of the buildings and their family.
Can’t recommend Brinkburn highly enough as the MOST perfect place to get married. We can’t wait to go back to stay in one of their holiday cottages or attend a yoga retreat they host.

Brinkburn Northumberland managed to put on the most spectacular wedding day for us and our Wedding Co-Ordinator Jess Lynch was phenomenal from start to finish.

When we viewed the venue on an open day in October 2021 we were blown away by the whole venue. The priory and grounds are stunning, the tipi perfectly balances with the priory and the staff were so personable and really seemed to know their couples, past and present.
Both of us have worked in the wedding industry previously and we know what a ‘conveyor belt wedding venue’ – putting on weddings every day of the year – feels like and Brinkburn was simply not like this at all. The fact that they limit the number of weddings to two per week was something we found really attractive, after our previous experiences in the industry.

On the lead up to the wedding, we had several meetings with Jess to go through details around the big day. These were: 1 Year to go, 8 months, 6 months, 4 months and 8 weeks to go. These allowed us to ask any questions we needed and told us what Jess needed to know from us. The meetings were always something we looked forward to and they never felt like a chore. There was just the right number to mean that we were comfortable knowing exactly what was going on and what was required of us. If we had any other questions outside of these meetings Jess was quick to respond and was super helpful throughout. Jess was truly the loveliest person to deal with and was so so helpful. She was absolutely fantastic on the day itself, helping with anything that we needed and even getting some of our elderly relatives cups of tea! We truly cannot thank her enough for the work she and everyone else at Brinkburn put in to make our day phenomenal.

Before the wedding we also had a fantastic meal tasting evening with Brinkburn’s chosen suppliers, 19.01. This allowed us to have a real date night together where we could just enjoy ourselves and the experience of trying the foods that we would choose for the day and we couldn’t recommend the food or the staff more. (We recommend going hungry though, we were full to bursting by the time we left!)

All of this combined allowed us to plan the day with such precision and meant that when we arrived the day before, we were able to just relax in The Stables’ kitchen and living areas with all of our family who were staying in the holiday cottages. We continued to be relaxed right through the big day and the morning after with everyone who had stayed the night, which was such a wonderful way to start off our married life together.

We will never stop recommending Brinkburn Northumberland and their team to anyone who listens, we are so so grateful and still a little overwhelmed two months later that we were able to have the most perfect day.

We hadn't heard of Brinkburn Northumberland until we started on the wedding planning 'Googling'. We typed in 'church ceremony, tipi reception' and Brinkburn was top of the list! From our first visit to writing this now we couldn't fault anything. Everyone at the venue who helped us (big shout out to Jess and Beth) with the planning process and the day itself, the wedding angels on the end of emails who answer all those 'silly' questions! Both ladies put us at ease and expertly guided us through the day meaning we could enjoy every second.
The venue itself is simply stunning. From the moment we walked down the drive and saw it for the first time we knew it was the one...in fact we were so sure we didn't look anywhere else and booked almost straight away.
On first glance it was slightly more expensive than other places we Googled but the difference being that most things are included. You don't pay per chair or per set of cutlery and you get to stay at the venue from the day before to the day after. That made us feel like the only people who ever would get married there and not like a number being kicked out for the next Bride and Groom.
Brinkburn Northumberland will hold a big place in our hearts and any opportunity to return we would take it! If we were to do the day again we wouldn't change a thing.

We had the most amazing weekend wedding at Brinkburn. The venue is just completely magical. As soon as you turn the corner at the bottom of the track and see the priory rise from the trees, you feel like you are a fairy tale or a Tolkein novel! It's in a perfect location, surrounded by trees and right on the bend of a river. We chose to use the manor house for our humanist ceremony, which really suited us a couple. So many people commented that it was unlike any wedding they'd been to before. We then used the river terrace for the drinks reception, the tipi for the wedding breakfast and the white room for dancing in the evening. The different locations made the day feel varied and interesting; you never got bored by a location. The onsite accommodation for our family and friends was just brilliant. Everywhere is so beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean - it felt like pure luxury. The cottages being slightly up the road from the main house meant that our guests there had some privacy and could do their own thing, whilst also being a 10 minute walk away. Jess and the team were incredible from start to finish, answering our many many questions with patience and kindness, and bending over backwards to help us with our many requests. The whole weekend felt magical, peaceful and full of joy. Thank you so much to all the team!

WOW! Where do we begin… Having our wedding at Brinkburn Priory really was a dream come true. A weekend we will cherish forever and that we wish we could do all over again. From the moment we viewed Brinkburn as a potential wedding venue, we knew it was the one. Not only does it have the most magical feel, but it is private and secluded and there is something very special about walking down the long road towards the venue and getting your first glimpse of the Priory and the tipi. We had the lovely Jess as our wedding coordinator through the whole process and she helped us with every little detail, even the ones we didn’t think of ourselves and made us feel at ease the whole way through. Jess was so friendly and welcoming and responded to all of our emails so quickly (thank you Jess for responding so quickly to my last minute panic daily emails in the run up to the big day!). Jess was also ab absolute star on the day and ensured the day ran so smoothly. Our wedding weekend was honestly the best weekend of our lives and the venue is so magical. We booked the Stables accommodation and all of the cottages too so our family and friends had somewhere to relax for the weekend, all of the accommodation is immaculate and beautiful and all of our guests were wowed. Everyone commented on how perfect and beautiful the whole day was, from the grand ceremony which certainly has the wow factor in the Priory to the amazing food we had served for our wedding breakfast in the incredible tipi and, my personal favourite, the epic White Room which turns into the perfect pink disco room. Thank you to all of the Brinkburn Team for allowing us to celebrate our wedding at the most stunning venue and for making us feel so welcome and special. Of course Brinkburn is an absolutely stunning venue, that's easy to see when you first arrive. But the Brinkburn wedding team, 19.01 caterers and bar staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day at Brinkburn as special as it could be! From the very first viewing with Jess, and the regular meetings throughout the 2 year planning process, to Justine nailing the on the day wedding coordination.
