My husband and I had our wedding here in June 2024! We had found the venue two years prior and were so happy it had everything we wanted.
We were in contact with our events coordinator - shout out to the amazing Gill! She went above and beyond to help up achieve the wedding we wanted. She helped us with timings, vendors etc. The venue is absolutely beautiful on its own, but also has a lot to offer in terms of making it unique! We were so happy we chose Chalkney Water Meadows! We rented out the glamping pods and also hired the cabins through the secret escapes. Everything was amazing and I couldn’t fault the whole team!

Alex and I got married at Chalkney Water Meadows in July 2024 and we had the most incredible festival wedding weekend. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We were able to have all our friends camp for the whole weekend, which allowed us to have catch ups with a pizza van and drinks under the stretch tent on the Friday night, and roast marshmallows round the campfire after the wedding. All our guests felt very comfortable and enjoyed the glamping tents and horsebox showers! The morning of the wedding was very chilled, people were relaxing and doing yoga under the trees, whilst the bridal party was able to get ready at the beautiful water lily lodge on site. The day ran very smoothly thanks to wedding co-ordinator Gill who was there to help us set up on Friday, run through a quick rehearsal and to sort out any issues on the day. All of the bar staff were lovely which also added to the great vibe of the weekend. The venue is naturally beautiful without any decor but it was great we were able to decorate it how we wanted and bring props. Alex and I spent Sunday night at Kingfisher lodge on site which was stunning and a great way to end a perfect weekend. We would highly recommend Chalkney Water Meadows as a wedding venue!

I got married here on 28/08/2024 and it was the best day of my life. The accommodation is amazing, the scenery is stunning and I felt like I was in a fairy tale the whole day. All the staff were extraordinary and kept my nerves down - especially Gill. Even though this place is a fifteen minute car ride from me, it feels like it's a whole world a way and I would definitely recommend to anyone getting married.

We had an absolutely amazing wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows. The Browning Brothers team were incredible from start to end. We worked with Fiona and then Holly as our events organizers and we loved them both to pieces. Holly made regular contact with us and both ladies were great at answering any questions we had and working to accomodate any requests we had of the day. Companies always claim to be close-knit families but the team at Browning Brothers truly are in every way.

We were able to get the venue on the day before the wedding with ample time to set up. Holly was there to help introduce us to the venue and also to help guide us with the best way to set up. She really got stuck in helping us shift things around and we couldn't be more grateful. The team are just so proactive and responsive. The maintenance crew turned up when a fridge wasn't going cold and the ladies came by to assist with the tents when somebody wanted an extra bed last minute. Anything we needed, the team were there to help or answer.

The wedding day ran flawlessly. Holly and the team were busy behind the scenes co-ordinating so everybody always knew where they needed to be. The team were excellent at getting the food and drinks out to the right people at the right time and making sure myself and my husband kept on time.

The venue really is one of a kind. There are beautiful lakes and forests that you can walk trails around. The 3 piece giant tipi is an incredible centrepiece. I loved getting married on the pontoon in front of one of those gorgeous lakes. If you are someone that likes the outdoors or wants something very laid-back, boho-chic and just naturally beautiful - this is the venue for you. Every single one of our guests were just raving about how much they loved the location.

I love the flexibility the team offered. You can choose your own food vendors and the team have a really long and extensive list of vendors you can pick from, or suggest your own. There are vendors for all sorts of food types and styles. We went for BBQ with Essex Hog Roast and pizza with Danton and Marshall events. We chose to not have set tables and everybody loved just sitting out on the picnic blankets, in the big tipi at the table or under the smaller tipi at the tables or bales there. Our guests said it was the most food and drink they had had at any wedding and they loved being able to do their own thing all day.

The venue also have many other partnered vendors they can suggest. We worked with Nichola from Bespoke Celebrant Ceremonies as our celebraant and Matt Wing as our photographer. The Browning Brothers vendor list is just full of amazing and wonderful people. They all really just "got" what we were about and what we wanted from a wedding.

We rented out both of the lodges on the venue as well as several of the glamping tents. The bridesmaids got ready in the Water Lily lodge (the bigger one that sleeps 6) and my husband and I stayed for a few days after in the Kingfisher lodge (sleeps 2).

Both lodges look out over the big lake and the views are just stunning and unrivalled. The lodges are secluded so you cannot see anybody else and they have their own quiet views onto the lake. We all enjoyed a dip in the hotubs at both lodges. The Kingfisher's lodge also benefits from a sauna. The sauna and the hottub look out over the lake, so we enjoyed sitting in one of them and watching the sun go down together. The lodges are beautifully furnished and really fit the vibe. The team did an amazing job putting them together. At night the uplighters go on dim and it just creates the most cozy and romantic atmosphere, so we could stay in our newlywed bubble for days after the wedding.

All ~70 people who came to the wedding would thoroughly recommend Browning Brothers and the Chalkney Water Meadows venue to others for weddings or general events. We couldn't fault a single thing and we are looking forward to returning to the venue each year for a stay in one of the cabins. The venue and all the people assisting will always have a special place in our hearts.

Absolutely perfect - The whole team at Browning Bros. were fantastic throughout the entire experience. From Holly who was a brilliant planner and coordinator, offering expert advice on everything from catering to timings on to our event to the staff who went to every length to ensure our day went super smoothly. The venue was immaculately prepared, the suppliers recommended by Browning Bros. were all super high quality and a joy to work with (Including Trott and Whinny, Fox and Braces, The Hungry Plaice and Spotlight Ceremonies). Browning Bros. were super adaptable to working with our own acoustic band (The Woodcutters) as well and helped make our day even more stress free and enjoyable. Accommodation for ourselves and our guests was setup on time, was perfectly laid out and very clean. The Orchard was a perfect venue for our friends with their own tents and vans too.

After getting engaged we always knew we wanted a wild forest wedding, we just didn’t know how wild we could go! From glamping, to street foods, to pizza ovens too BBQ food and games to play with and ice cream van arriving in the evening, I feel like we had it all. We honestly had the most amazing weekend, with all our guests saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been too. We went for such a relaxed vibe and followed no itinerary which I think our guests enjoyed too. It was the most perfect setting in the woods. It was just perfect from start to finish. The team were amazing but I must say how amazing our Gill was from late night emails to dress changes to MUA cancelling and bridesmaid not arriving she went through every emotion with me and she knew I needed calm words and hugs the evening before. She was with me all day and kept checking in on us and our guests I’m sad I don’t need to call or text her no more. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough. Gill we love you like family

Wow, what a weekend! We cannot recommend Teybrook Orchard enough for a woodland wedding. We had the most incredible bespoke wedding and Becky made sure we had everything we needed without loads of restrictions. This venue allows you to be as creative as you want and design the wedding of your dreams. The service from start to finish was first class and nothing was too much trouble. The addition of Glamping extended the time we spent with loved ones celebrating. All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. It’s such a unique place and we have made some wonderful memories there.

We had our wedding at Teybrook Orchard in July 2023. I can't recommend this venue highly enough. A truly magical setting. The ceremony area under the trees is beautiful, the marquee, kitchen and bar worked perfectly for our 100 guests, and everyone commented on how stunning the site is and how well done the showers, toilets and accomodation all are. The yurts and bell tents are beautiful and very comfortable - even for those guests not used to camping. We also made good use of the hot tub, firepit, swing and table tennis table, which kept the kids busy all weekend. Most impressive of all though was the support from start to end by Browning Brothers. Becky was great at handling all our guests accomodation bookings, all our many questions and walking us through what was needed on the day. On the day of the wedding we had the best team, led by Holly and Archie, who kept drinks flowing, made sure all the microphones and tech worked, co-ordinated with the caterers and did a thousand other tasks which left us free to enjoy the day confident all the logistics were in good hands. They were so friendly, so much fun to have at the celebration and so excellent at their jobs - and gave us far more help and support than we had anticipated getting from the venue. The whole experience surpassed our expectations from start to finish.

This place is just WOW. Amazing setting and location. Such a beautiful day for us and Chalkney Water Meadows added so much to the wonderful memories we will cherish forever. The service from start to finish was first class and nothing was too much trouble. The addition of Glamping extended the time we spent with loved ones celebrating. Cannot recommend enough

We had the best weekend ever for our wedding at CWM. The space is so beautiful and none of the guests could believe it was hidden away there in Earls Colne.

The team were amazing, from the first email with Nat, to Becky answering many questions promptly and professionally. The team on the day, Meg and the bar staff were all so so wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for more- they really made the whole weekend feel so relaxing and like nothing was too much trouble.

The glamping tents and houses on site were excellent too, glamping tents were kitted out beautifully! Our guests loved being able to bring their own campers too to make a weekend of it.

Perfect location for our wedding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved it that everyone could stay overnight and join us for breakfast.

We wanted a relaxed family focused wedding with all our accommodation on site. Chalkney Water Meadows provided a stunning private venue for a whole weekend where family of all ages could relax and enjoy the surroundings. Nothing was too much for the event team and everything ran like clockwork! The lodges by the lake were beautiful, and everyone loved the comfy beds in the bell tents. It was the most perfect day! The photographs were beautiful! A stunning venue for your wedding.

We had the most incredible wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows. It's the perfect place to be creative and create the wedding of your dreams. The staff were extremely accommodating and flexible and as excited as us about creating the perfect day. We hired the log cabins and Bell tents as accommodation for us and guests and it will forever be the most unique special memories we hold. I'd recommend this venue 100%

Teybrook helped us host our perfect festival style wedding. From the venue to everyone we dealt with at Browning Bros it was everything we dreamed of. Teybrook is a beautiful setting, and the facilities are what you’d expect from high class glamping. We also used some of the recommended suppliers which were excellent as they knew the people and the venue. Our wedding organiser Gill was great and on the ball all day making sure everything ran as planned. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting that wedding that’s a little bit different!
