Burloes Hall was everything we wished for and more. From start to finish, our whole experience was amazing and we honestly couldn’t have had a more perfect day. Nicole and Katherine were so helpful and happy for us to add our own touches to make this day our own, nothing we asked was too big or small and the day ran seamlessly. They put us in touch with local suppliers who we would highly recommend and made us feel welcome from the start. Lastly - the grounds and views are breathtaking and offered the perfect backdrop for our wedding. If we’re honest, this is what we fell in love with first and everything else we experienced was an amazing added bonus. Wish we could go back and do it all again!

Such a stunning venue and feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere! We fell in love with it the first time we visited and booked it for our wedding soon after, the gardens are gorgeous.
It was nice to be able to have the freedom to choose suppliers but Nicole and Katherine also had a great list of options too, they made everything very easy for us and we’re always there to help in anyway. We had the best day ever so thanks so much Burloes! ?

We chose Burloes Hall as our wedding venue for June 2017 on a very grey February day 15 months beforehand, but as soon as we arrived to visit we could tell we'd found somewhere special - and on the day it exceeded all of our expectations!

Nicole & Katherine couldn't have been more helpful during the planning process & on the day itself, and we loved the freedom we were given to enjoy our wedding day as we chose. Burloes really feels like a unique venue & is so far removed from the revolving-door feeling you get when visiting other venues, due to the limited number of weddings which take place there each year.

The views across the open fields are stunning, the marquee is of a very high quality & although the venue is surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's only a few minutes drive to great transport links by car or rail.

The grounds make for some amazing photo & video opportunities, and the little extra touches such as the lanterns that were lit at night make it such a special place.

Our only regret is that we can't do it all over again, but if we could we'd choose Burloes every time.

The team at Burloes went above and beyond for my niece’s wedding day - no little detail went unthought of.
From the initial viewing to the flexibility of sites for the blessing to the little touches in the marquee - everything was not problem’ and supplemented with practical and innovative ideas and solutions.
The day itself was a dream, the gardens magnificent, the efficiency of all teams working well together meant there was no hitch (except for the lovely couple getting hitched!). I would recommend this venue to anyone for peace of mind and a beautiful outcome.

Burloes Hall was the most idyllic setting for our wedding reception, and Katharine and Nicole were so helpful and supportive throughout our entire planning process and of course on the big day as well. We couldn’t recommend it more.

We held our wedding reception at Burloes Hall in July and it was just perfect. As soon as we first met Nicole and Katharine, we were put at ease and felt confident with them looking after us and our big day - we just knew this was the place for us. They make the day so personal, and you can ask them just anything (at any time!) and they’re so quick to respond and work with you. Nicole and Katharine will go out of their way to help make your big day the absolute best it can be. As for the location and venue, it speaks for itself - it really is stunning, we had so many compliments from our guests. A true hidden gem in the rolling hills of the Hertfordshire countryside - a very special place for us, for a very special day - with memories that will last forever. Thank you!

We found Burloes Hall after over a year of looking for a wedding venue that was beautiful, had a great choice of outside space(we had our ceremony in the sunken Italian gardens surrounded by lavender and the sound of water trickling into the fountain while the gentle sounds of Toto's Africa were played by a string quartet! Burloes Hall is amazing. Nicole and Katharine are so supportive and friendly and the limit is your imagination. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fabulous venue A secret gem.

"Wow - what even to say about this amazing place! My husband and I got married here at the end of July 2018 and we still can’t quite believe how lucky we were to find it! The view is absolutely stunning (rain or shine) and it’s the only place for miles with such a lovely private and secluded space whilst still being easily accessible from a variety of locations. I would really urge you to book a visit and see for yourself. We saw it in January when the gardens were by no means at their best, but we still knew it was the place for us! When we first met Nicole and Katherine they made us feel so welcome and at home, it was so far removed from the horrible wedding factory feel we had at many other places. Throughout the process they couldn’t have done enough for us making us feel special and almost as if we were getting married in a friends back garden as opposed to a wedding venue! But that didn’t affect the service - Nicole is the speediest email responder (if that’s a thing..) I have ever come across! Nothing was too much and she really made the process a joy! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the gardens have many lovely secluded places for photos. The marque, chairs and tables are all in lovely taste. Having one side of the marquee being able to open was a lovely touch and brought us even closer to that fabulous view! The price is amazing for everything that’s included and they are a million miles away from trying to get extras out of you or limiting your availability to the venue. I would whole heartedly recommend Burloes Hall- what a special place!"

Burloes was the first venue we visited and we knew we’d choose it straight away so didn’t visit anywhere else! The marquee was new in 2017 and enormous, and it includes the catering tent, toilets, lanterns on the pathway up and parking on site with security. The views are amazing (clear sides means you can see out across the landscape or open them if hot weather) and there were horses in the fields, rabbits and pheasants when we visited on the sunny open day. It’s a super countryside venue that’s really not far from central London. When we booked there was a shortlist of caterers (we chose Capers) who were great to work with and made the day run really smoothly. You can bring your own booze in the day or use a company so there’s lots of flexibility. Nicole and Katherine lead things from the Burloes side and are charming, kind and fun to work with! The marquee is a blank canvas so we came 2 days early to cover it with coloured paper lanterns, flowers and ribbons. You could get a company in to help you do this though! You and the guests have full use of the gardens which make for great photos - our photographer (Sasha, also recommended) took us out for a sunset shoot. Then the party started (we used splendid sounds, who we also would recommend) and they were awesome. There’s back roads for you to park up near the marquee that your guests don’t see. Royston itself has loads of accommodation and pubs and Barley has a town house registered for marriages which is very oldy- worldy. We had a perfect, super special day, and would do it all over again (if we had the money!) Mr & Mrs Richards xx

We first viewed Burloes Hall on a cold January morning without even seeing the marquee up but we knew straight away that it was exactly what we were looking for. Nicole and Katharine were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the flexibility that Burloes offered us - we were able to add our own personal touches to ensure that it really reflected us both.

Nicole was always at the end of an email with advice and guidance and we were made to feel so welcome. Everything went so smoothly and all of our guests commented on the amazing view - it truly is a magical setting. Burloes Hall is a stunning venue for a wedding. We got married here in August 2018 and couldn't have been happier. The gardens and views over the surrounding countryside are breath taking and the marquee is fantastic. Photos don’t do it justice so it is definitely worth a visit. There is a cricket net, which went down very well with our guests and in the evening the whole place is it up by beautiful lanterns. Nicole and Katherine run events at Burloes and truly are a dream team. They are so lovey, supportive and willing to help. Their ample experience combined with a relaxed approach is also just what you need whilst planning a wedding! Nothing was too big a problem and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us. They were so willing to be flexible with our two day wedding (we had a Hindu ceremony on one day and Church and reception on the next) which made the planning so much easier. In addition, Burloes only does one event a week which really makes yours feel special and they have the time to invest in making your day perfect. We loved Burloes for the ability to put our own stamp on the festivities and we’re so glad we found them. Highly recommended!

We had a great time hosting our wedding reception at Burloes in the summer. Katherine and Nicole couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful - even letting us in a few months in advance for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Our guests really enjoyed having access to the immaculate grounds, and they provided an amazing backdrop for our photos! Such a surprise finding such a great venue close to home. Everything was perfect even down to the tiny details!
We wouldn't hesitate recommending Burloes to anyone!
