Facilities and Capacity
You wander through the oak doorway, picturing that flower arch you’ve had in mind for a few weeks, and you can see that it would work perfectly! A wedding planner leads you through to the Music Room, you look up to see a ceiling of oak beams (repurposed from ancient ships, no less), and you’re not surprised that the house is as charming on the inside as it is on the out.
Light floods through the Cathedral window, highlighting the exact spot where you would say your I do’s. Through the window, you see the endless gardens and an alfresco option for the ceremony with views overlooking the Surrey Hills - romantic would be an understatement.
The manor house and its grounds are exclusively yours for 24 hours, so think of it as your home for the day (and night). It’s licensed to host wedding ceremonies both inside and out, with up to 123 guests, and 170 for an evening reception.

At the end of an eventful day, it’s good to know your beautiful Cain Suite, complete with roll-top bath, is just a few short steps away.
Ten further bedrooms await your guests, meaning that your nearest and dearest can join you for breakfast the following morning to share their happy memories of your day.

Amazing day
What an amazing day! From start to finish this venue went above and beyond to help give us the wedding of our dreams. It was a beautiful setting and so needed very little extra decoration. The food was lovely and the dj read the room brilliantly. The staff knew exactly what they were doing and I didn’t need to check anything. So many guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been too. Thanks so much for a day we will never forget!

Amazing food!
The day went so smoothly and so quickly! Every single staff member was so helpful, friendly, and really lovely.

Best wedding venue
Our day was beyond what we dreamt it would be. The team worked so hard to ensure it all ran smoothly, and our guests were blown away with it all. A stunning venue, the best food they'd ever had at a wedding and just how smoothly everything went even with an health emergency with my Grandma. Having the webcam available also allowed those unable to attend could be there virtually from all over the world and my other Grandma, who lives in a dementia nursing home,had the most wonderful time celebrating with us too. We will never forget it, thank you from the bottom of our hearts x

Absolutely Superb
We cannot fault Cain Manor for their service, facilities and overall performance. We booked Cain Manor for our wedding reception in September, with the ceremony held in a church, and from the very first day we felt looked after. We were given lots of opportunities to build our day with the help of the team, the portal is definitely a good way of keeping on top of things and reminding you what you need to do! The communication is good and we never felt like there was ever going to be a problem that couldn't be worked out. Solutions were definitely found for all concerns we had!
On the day itself, the service from Freya, Daisy and their team was outstanding, everyone felt looked after and there were no problems throughout the day, even able to make last minute changes to the table plan literally an hour before the wedding breakfast.
I cannot fault this, and although it is highly unlikely we will get married again, we would not hesitate to use Cain Manor!

Gorgeous venue and setting
We had an unforgettably magical day at Cain Manor, the day flowed so seamlessly and we can’t thank the staff and suppliers enough.
We received so many compliments about the food and the venue with one guest insisting that we had a celebrity wedding and others that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. It is a perfect wedding venue and Harper are highly recommended.

Wonderful From Day One
From the first time viewing the venue right up to the final goodbyes the morning after, Cain Manor were amazing.
Starting with Dean, he was a huge reason as to why we chose Cain Manor. He showed us around on the first viewing; asking us how we envisioned our day, painting a picture for us, and allowing us to see ourselves in the space.
The team who helped us before the day (Megan and Ann) were very fast with responses and nothing was too much or forgotten about. Speaking to them and using the online planner was seamless I can't imagine planning a wedding without their help or the planner!
On the day I can't explain how smoothly everything went, and if it didn't, I was unaware as they dealt with everything so professionally and smoothly. Everyone was wonderful, but a special mention must go to Freya, Jane, and Toby who were impeccable. They really made us feel like the only people in the world.
The venue itself is beautiful, and the food is still being raved about.

Beautiful venue with fantastic staff
Where to begin…. Cain Manor is a fabulous, beautiful, characterful venue with a fantastic amazing team of staff.
Our Wedding Day was perfect, their team even organized the weather with a lovely sunny spring day so we could have our ceremony outside!
From the moment we first viewed the venue, with Danielle showing us around, we fell in love with it! And then going forward they continued to make us feel so welcome on each visit. The Harper Wedding Planner is a life-saver and along with the Wedding Planning Wednesdays, with Emy, Ashely & Maddie, and the online messaging system made the planning process was so smooth and stress-free!
On the day itself, every single staff member was fantastic. We felt the whole day ran so effortlessly and that is credit to the Team.
From when I arrived in the morning to the Prep Room to get ready in, to them getting Luke into the Stable Block, so they could move me to the Bridal Suite to finish getting ready, would not have gone so well without their coordination and help!

Mixed bag, but overall my wedding was magical
Firstly, Cain Manor is STUNNING. it's exactly what i had in mind when I imagined my dream wedding. What's super important to remember though is that this isn't just a wedding venue, it's a sole use wedding experience ran by Bijou (now Harper) weddings. This has its pros and cons - the online planner for example is fantastic. However, you're not just committing to the beautiful venue, you're also committing to Harper's somewhat stringent T&C's. Their job is to make life easier, which in most instances they did, however i would advise others looking at this venue to do their homework and make sure they know exactly what they are agreeing to before they commit. There were a fair few "extra" costs i.e. £695 for a dance floor that we hadn't thought about, we'd assumed things like this to be included. Maybe we were a bit naive. We got our dance floor externally in the end for a much cheaper price but had to jump through a few bureaucratic hoops and do a bit of planning on our side to make this happen. if you're happy to pay the extra costs, your life will be easier, and also worth noting is that this venue is so beautiful that you may feel you don't need any extras. We had our florist do room dressing etc which worked out best all round.

Our special day finally arrived!
We were due to get married at Cain in 2020 however like many couples covid put paid to our original plans. We found Bijou to be amazing during this incredibly stressful and uncertain time and after rescheduled our original date 3 times my partner and I were finally able to tie the knot this summer.
It was worth the wait, Cain Manor is spectacular and Dean and his team were simply brilliant. We really relaxed and fully enjoyed ourselves, as did our families, knowing everything was completely taken care of. We really felt that the Cain Manor was our home for the day and cannot recommend it highly enough.

20% discount - for no wedding!
After my experience, I'd like to simply suggest potential customers google some of the following media stories- which all name this company (and I'm in some of the stories). This is by no means an exhaustive list of their recent coverage.
1) 'Which' website - 'Couples jilted at altar by wedding venues cancelling big day – and pocketing their cash'
2) BBC website - ''Our wedding is cancelled but we still have to pay'
3) BBC One Show "Watchdog - Weddings"
4) Guardian - "Cancelled weddings – refusal to issue refund may be breach of law"
5) Surrey live - "Couple 'heartbroken' after Bijou Weddings cancels big day and asks for 80% cancellation fee"
As a statement of fact, Bijou still have £13,000 of my money for a wedding in May 2020, that they cancelled, and will not refund us.
Adam French, the Senior Consumer rights editor for 'Which', confirmed on ITV news on 26 May 2020 that "as part of this investigation, we have passed on the details of 12 venues - including the Bijou Group - to the regulator (The Competition and Markets Authority" for further investigation'.
Those organisations working in customer services would do well to consider that their reputation is a more valuable long term asset than any bank balance which has been inflated - based on what what some might think to be deliberate contractual ambiguity. Of course, we were presumably all supposed to know from the outset that Bijou could cancel our wedding and charge us 80% of the total cost!

The perfect venue
We cannot thank the team at Cain Manor enough. Their expertise and professionalism made our wedding the most perfect day. The team make you feel special from the first moment you meet them, and they are there at your side every step of the way. The online planning portal is really easy to use, and the team and venue are incredibly flexible, nothing is too much trouble for the team at Cain!
All guests all commented on how attentive the staff were during the day, as well as the quality (and quantity) of the food - we certainly didn't go hungry!
The venue is perfect all year round with acres of outdoor space for when its dry, and plenty of indoor space for people to chill if they don't want to join in the dance party in the piano room!
Yes we paid a slight premium compared to other venues, but honestly Cain Manor is worth every penny.

Our wedding day September 2024
We chose Cain manor as our wedding venue and we are absolutely over the moon that we did everything was just perfect. This venue is absolutely stunning, the team at harper were amazing throughout our planning journey and the staff working on the day were fantastic, the food was outstanding our guest still talk about it now. Our day at Cain manor was everything we could have ever dreamt of and more. I would absolutely recommend this venue.

The most perfect wedding!
From start to finish the team were absolutely incredible. From arrival they were so hands on with anything we needed help with. All throughout the day there were checking in with both of us to make sure we were happy and seeing if there was anything we needed. All of the set ups for the room were perfect and just as i wanted them. The food was incredible and every single one of our guests said how much they enjoyed it. We had a couple of fussy guests and they even made an alternative main for them which was really appreciated. The whole day went so smoothly and that’s all down to the team. I’d highly recommend harper weddings for anyone getting married and Cain manor was just the most beautiful venue!
