History

CastelBrando boasts a rich history spanning over 2000 years. Its origins date back to the Roman era when it served as a vital defence and control point along the Imperial Via Claudia Augusta. Over time, it evolved under various rulers, including the Da Camino family and the Republic of Venice. In the sixteenth century, the Brandolini family added a touch of Venetian elegance to the castle.

In the eighteenth century, Ottavio Scotti designed the final addition, an imposing horseshoe-shaped structure. The castle remained under the ownership of the Conti Brandolini until 1959, when the Salesian Fathers acquired it. In 1997, a private company purchased and meticulously restored CastelBrando, preserving its historic charm and grandeur.
