I could not recommend Chiddingstone Castle enough. Natalie as the wedding coordinator of the castle is simply a dream. She was the sweetest and most organized coordinator we met and chose the castle because of her! She made our entire experience and planning so much easier. We couldn’t have done it without her. Chiddingstone Castle is such a stunning venue and the guests were blown away! Everything is personalized to your preferences; your choice of catering, florists, cake, band, decorations but all with suggested options from Natalie which we of course used and loved! It was a fairytale wedding thank you so much!

Chiddingstone Castle is an absolutely stunning venue in Kent, and my husband and I were immediately captivated by its beauty and charm. One of the standout features for us was the privacy of having the entire venue to ourselves, which made our wedding day feel truly special. The grounds are gorgeous, and the flow between the indoor spaces and outdoor areas allowed the day to transition beautifully from one part to another.

However, there are a few important considerations for future couples. The main hall, which is marketed as seating up to 80 guests, felt very tight with just 66. It was quite a squeeze, and that’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning for a larger guest list. Additionally, while the top table is historic and beautiful, it’s unfortunately quite small for a traditional wedding party setup. We had to shuffle our seating, and I found myself unable to comfortably fit my legs under the table due to a large table leg right in front of me.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, but the overall organisation could be improved. Due to IT restrictions, they aren’t able to use cloud-based platforms like Google Sheets, which made it difficult to share updated schedules and planning documents. We also experienced some confusion with their records during meetings. After the wedding, we had an unfortunate incident with our leftover wine, which led to a bit of a back-and-forth with the staff. Although it was eventually resolved and the wine was found, the process was more stressful than it needed to be.

I’d suggest that they invest in something like Roll Pallet Mesh Cages to keep track of items during venue turnover. It would make a world of difference and avoid misplacement. For example, I had to return after our honeymoon to collect champagne that had been forgotten.

Lastly, when it came to personal touches, I sometimes felt discouraged. I wanted to do a few things differently, such as placing our cake on a mobile table so it could be moved into the main hall for cutting after being displayed. As I had made a 6-tier cake myself. I knew exactly how to execute this, but I felt the venue wasn't fully supportive of those kinds of unique ideas. While everything ultimately worked out brilliantly, and we were very pleased with the way our customisations added to the day, a bit more encouragement from the staff would have been appreciated.

Overall, Chiddingstone Castle is a breathtaking venue, and we had a wonderful day, but there are a few areas where improvements could make the experience smoother for future couples.

We stumbled across Chiddingstone Castle while searching for intimate wedding venues online, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. From the very beginning, Natalie, our wedding venue coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She is the sweetest person—responsive, flexible, and always willing to accommodate our needs.

Despite planning our wedding from abroad and never having seen the venue in person, we felt completely at ease working with Natalie. Her professionalism and warmth made the process seamless.

On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. Natalie, Lindsey and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing—helpful, kind, and considerate. They went above and beyond to ensure that our day was everything we had hoped for.

Jake and I had seen Chiddingstone years ago. I joked and said If we ever get married this would be perfect .
Fast forward 12 years and we had decided to use Chiddingstone as our wedding venue as they could cater for the amount of people and the also being able to organise our catering with another company was a big thing on our list,due to probably over a half of the guest we're children we really didn't want a formal sit down meal and wanted a garden bbq party vibe with the bonus of getting married !

This was fulfilled and we had the most amazing, perfect day ever it was magical in every way. Natalie and the events team at Chiddingstone totally made our day run smoothly and took the stress out of things going wrong (groom forgetting hair stuff lol)

We loved having our wedding at the Castle such an amazing venue. Natalie was great to work with in the planning stages. Importantly everything went so smoothly on the day.

All our guests commented on how amazing the venue was - both the Castle and the Orangery - which is where we had our outdoor wedding ceremony, and the Castle lawn for cocktails and canapés.

What most stood out to my Groom and I was the outstanding organisation and utter professionalism we felt when dealing with Natalie and the wider Castle team. They made everything effortless and seamless.

The grounds were beautiful and the place where the bride can get changed is beautiful too.

There aren't enough words to express how wonderful a wedding at Chiddingstone is. I worked at Chiddingstone weddings when I was at university, and always dreamt of getting married there myself. When that time came around, it was so lovely to meet back up with Natalie who I had worked for previously. My partner loved Chiddingstone as much as I did, and so we were decided! From the outset, Natalie and her team were so professional and so organised - we knew we were in the perfect hands! This helped us both feel unbelievably calm, and really enjoy the process of planning - something which is incredibly valuable. The day itself was truly perfection, every detail was thought of, nothing was too much of an ask, and Natalie and her team helped ensure everything ran smoothly. If there were any hiccups we were blissfully unaware of them! We were married at St Marys church in the village, which is perfectly situated. The groom and guests met at the pub before heading into the church, and then following the ceremony we walked through to the Castle in a procession with our guests. It was very special to have the pub, church and castle within 200m of each other in the middle of the stunning Kent countryside! From the drinks reception, to the wedding breakfast in the beautiful marquee, right through to the disco - the day was just beautiful. It was the wedding of our dreams, and we'd thoroughly recommend the venue to anyone!

Couldn’t have had a better day if we had tired! Natalie & her team had it all under control & made our day amazing! Walking from the church to the castle in the sunshine was so special together with pimms on the lawn with our live singer after was such a treat! We had the best day & night. Thank you so much!

Before we got engaged, we had a set venue in mind for our wedding but when we went to view Chiddingstone Castle to see a few more options, we were blown away.

The venue is outstanding - a great mix of natural beauty and history. But it wasn't just the venue itself that sold it to us - it was the wedding co-ordinator too. Natalie was friendly, helpful and professional from the moment we visited. We had several visits and she answered all of our questions. There was a great amount of flexibility to make it the day we had always dreamed of. We were even able to bring our two dogs to join us for photos.

On the run up to the day, Natalie was very communicative and helpful - suggesting things we hadn't remembered or even thought of. On our actual wedding day, the staff were all efficient and friendly. I got ready in the suite in the morning and the staff were super helpful with my bridesmaids and mum - topping us up with Prosecco and coffee whenever we needed it. They also dressed the venue perfectly.

The whole day ran very smoothly without any hitches and was even better than we ever could have dreamed. The venue itself blew our guests away - and our pictures are incredible thanks to the beautiful surroundings.

We would highly recommend Chiddingstone Castle to anyone looking for a venue. We are so pleased we picked it - we had the day of our dreams!

We cannot recommend Chiddingstone Castle enough as a wedding venue!! Natalie and the team were absolutely incredible from start to finish helping to make our day exactly what we wanted. Natalie was so helpful in recommending and putting us in touch with other suppliers, and really got to know us as a couple and understood what we wanted for our day. Also the fact that Chiddingstone Castle don't charge corkage, was a massive plus point for us, allowing us to have a lot of fun personalising our drinks choices!!

We had our wedding ceremony at St Mary's Church in Chiddingstone, followed by our wedding reception at Chiddingstone Castle, and the combination of being able to have a traditional Church wedding and then walk over to our reception (across the beautiful lake at the Castle), worked so well and made the day really flow. So many of our guests commented on what an incredible venue the Castle was, and many of them also particularly enjoyed being able to meet at the pub (The Castle Inn) before our ceremony to start the celerations, as it was right next door!

It was not easy trying to plan and organise a wedding during a global pandemic with all the uncertainty and ever changing Covid restrictions, but Natalie and the team could not have been more supportive, flexible and helpful when it came to our wedding plans, especially when we had to postpone it, and then change it all again last minute when the planned Government 'freedom day' in June was postponed... We honestly don't know how we would have coped with all the stress/last minute changes and planning without Natalie's help! It was so great to have someone to coordinate all our suppliers as well in the run up to the wedding, and this took a huge amount of pressure off us and allowed us to really enjoy our wedding day. The Castle staff were also so friendly, helpful and attentive on the day.

It really is such a beautiful and well-run venue, and if you are looking for somewhere that has that special/wow factor and the ability to really make the day your own, then this is the place for you!!

Chiddingstone Castle is such a beautiful choice for a wedding venue. Nestled in the heart of Kent it is the perfect representation of the English countryside. It is such a gem of a venue, especially during the summer when the grounds and flowers are in full bloom. Natalie looked after us every step of the way, from planning and suggestions of what would work on our day and kept in contact with us as our original date drew nearer last year in July during lock down. Happily, the stars aligned and just in time lock down eased just in time to allow us to have 10 people socially distanced at our wedding and the officiants were happy to attend. We were lucky enough to have our Covid safe ceremony with 8 guests. Although we could not have the full celebration we hoped for, the ceremony was romantic, intimate and beautiful. With no issues, Natalie allowed us to postpone our reception for the following year. We will always have such special memories of the day we married and Chiddingstone will always have a special place in our hearts as the place we took our vows. We would highly recommend Chiddingstone Castle as a place to get married, it is such a lovely, relaxed and stress free place and great value for money. As soon as we arrived for our first visit to Chiddingstone Castle around a year before our wedding, we knew it was where we wanted to hold our wedding reception.

Having visited other venues around Kent, Chiddingstone stood out for a multitude of reasons. The luxury of having the entire castle and grounds to yourselves for the whole day offers endless possibilities and flexibility to make your wedding exactly as you wish. You are able to use different parts of the castle throughout the day which feels really special and keeps guests surprised as they gradually saw more of the castle, starting in the orangery for drinks, then the garden marquee for the wedding breakfast before moving into the castle and Great Hall for the dancing in the evening. The huge grounds and castle also allow for endless different photo opportunities.

The selection of suppliers that the team at Chiddingstone recommend are also wonderful, we used Urban Pantry for the most delicious food, and aside from catering where you are spoilt with 3 wonderful local catering companies you have the flexibility to work with others to bring your wedding visions to life. Being able to bring your own drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) for a very affordable corkage fee was also something we really appreciated.

Natalie and the entire team could not have been more helpful throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself.

If you are looking for a venue which affords beautiful scenery and architecture balanced with wanting to bring some individuality to your wedding day, as well as making you feel as though the castle and grounds are all yours, then look no further than Chiddingstone Castle. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to for some time so we count ourselves so lucky that we were able to have discovered Chiddingstone.

They say when you find your wedding dress you just know, well the same with this English countryside gem. We found this beautiful castle on a day out in Kent with no intention of finding our venue that weekend.

When we met with Natalie and the team, it helped seal the decision. They had a genuine interest in our day and In ensuring that it was a success.

Leading up to to day- no question or query was too small or silly, from dropping off the cake, decorations and bits before the day was a seamless operation whilst keeping the nerves at bay.

The wedding day was beyond perfect, from the guest parking at the castle, to walking back from the church to the orangery for the welcome drinks and canapés, to enjoying our wedding breakfast in the Baron hall to cutting the cake in the White Rose room

They day went perfectly and was a huge success, made possible by Natalie and the team at Chiddingstone.
