The Cider Barn is a charming, rustic wedding venue located just outside Ilminster, Somerset. The venue features an old agricultural stone and thatched barn, sheltered among the woods and fields of the Dillington Estate with views far across the rolling Somerset countryside. This magical and romantic barn is perfect for your blissful country wedding.

Facilities and Capacity

The natural beauty of The Cider Barn can be found in its original wooden beams, stone walls, and exposed thatch. Embellished with romantic celebrations in mind, the thatch apex has been adorned with fairy lights and rope metal chandeliers. To the side of the barn lies a spacious, sunlit garden that's been thoughtfully renovated and beautifully kept.

Up to 120 guests can be seated in the main barn for dining following an optional indoor or outdoor ceremony. More relaxed dining experiences may be able to seat up to 150 guests throughout the venue. If you're envisioning a Christian celebration, Whitelackington's Church of St. Mary's is right next door, and our personable staff would be happy to introduce you to the benefice team.

When the festivities begin to wind down, you and your loved ones can retire to one of the estate's beautiful holiday cottages for a rejuvenating rest. We have a number of stunning cottages for your nearest and dearest, which are perfect for those morning-of photo opportunities.
