Amazing Venue!
We could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding reception. We were obsessed with the building and decor as we wanted a contemporary, city centre wedding and Citation ticked all the boxes! Pauline was so helpful on the run up to the day by staying in contact regularly and helping us to prepare fully for our wedding. A highlight of ours was our menu tasting - it was like a private dining experience and the food was unreal!
The food was amazing, from the canapés to the wedding breakfast, and everyone commented on how much they loved it!
We were quite literally waited on the entire day and the staff in particular (especially Aidan, Darren and Robert) made us feel so special and important. The layout was great as well to allow people space to sit and chat, but also plenty of room at the dance floor - especially for our Ceilidh which went down an absolute treat!
Thanks to Citation, we had the perfect wedding day from start to finish. You helped create memories for us which will last a lifetime and every time we walk past, we will be reminded of how we celebrated the most important day of our lives in one of Glasgow’s most iconic and memorable venues.

Stress-free planning and perfect big day
Our wedding at Citation was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed day! Hannah, Aidan and Casey and the rest of the staff on the day did such a fantastic job in making sure everything ran smoothly, if anything went wrong then we had no idea!
We had so many comments from guests about how lovely the venue was, the delicious meal and how efficient everything ran. Pauline and Hannah put our minds at ease from the very first meeting, the planning stage was not really stressful at all for us as they had everything covered and made sure no small detail was forgotten, even thinking of things that would never have crossed our minds.

Brilliant Venue and Staff
Had an amazing time having our wedding at Citation. The staff were very lovely and throughout the process were great at answering our questions. We wanted to lose some of the traditional wedding elements and add in a few bits of our own, which the venue accommodated brilliantly, even though some venues won’t.
The food was great and all dietary requirements were easily catered for
Our guests even commented on how friendly, helpful and pleasant the staff were so it was great that they noticed it too and not just us as the people staff were working most directly with. They definitely went above and beyond and we are super grateful!

Our most perfect day
We had our day at Citation on the 1st of August 2022 having previously switched venue from 29 Glasgow. Louize and the team are an absolute credit to Citation, Louize in particular is amazing, so accommodating, friendly and most importantly so knowledgeable and competent she really takes the pressure off and allows the couple to enjoy the planning of their day as well as the day itself. Citation is absolutely breath-taking, such a beautiful venue in the middle of Glasgow I cannot think of a single other place that could compare. The entire day of my wedding I had guests talking about how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful the staff were. The master of ceremonies was a gentleman and instantly put an anxious bride at ease! I can never thank you all enough, you absolutely gave me the day I have always dreamt of and with a team that made us feel first class all day

We got married on Saturday 23rd July and it was the most beautiful perfect day from start to finish.
Louize was outstanding and made everything very manageable and stress free from the start of the planning. We had a church wedding and then had our reception at Citation and Louize made it very easy to accommodate this and gave us excellent advice about timings and logistics. She was an excellent communicator and got back to us very quickly about any questions that we had. She made everything easy by providing us with a template that we could work from together so we knew all of the things that we had to think about. I loved that she provided us with a list of recommended suppliers too so that we didn’t have to look about for different things like florists, invitations etc.
Citation was a stunning venue and an ideal location for us and all of our guests as it was right in the city centre. It was beautifully decorated and we were able to choose different add-ons that we wanted for the day such as the floral arch and neon ‘Mr and Mrs’ sign. I loved that we could add on all of the different decorations such as candelabras and chair covers again from the one place as it made everything so much less stressful. The food at the venue was superb and all of our guests commented on how delicious it was! We were able to choose our canapés and menu and taste everything beforehand.
The staff at the venue were just lovely and so, so helpful. We opted for the DJ and he was fantastic. The music was amazing and the dance floor was never empty all night!
I would thoroughly recommend Citation as a venue and Louize as a wedding planner. We had the best day ever and wish we could do it all again. Thank you!

Our Best Day
From our first meeting with Louize the wedding coordinator, to the day after our wedding when we popped in to collect extra cake and our post box contents, everything was faultless.
The whole team delivered a friendly and professional service at all times. The food was delicious and many of our guest commented on this.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning with bare brick walls and a stunning staircase wrapped with pretty faux flowers.
The ideal thing for us is we had our wedding ceremony and reception together at the venue, no need for guests to travel around.
Would highly, highly recommend anyone to consider choosing Citation as a wedding venue.

Amazing venue
The venue is stunning and is perfect for a City Centre location, with all and any amenities to hand with Hotels and transportation links. We felt really comfortable when we first met Louize and throughout the months running up to the wedding, there was nothing that became even the smallest of issues. The Team on the day were fantastic and welcomed our guests and made sure they also felt special, let alone the actual main wedding party. Food selection was really good and again a great team delivery. Ceremony was just the perfect moment for us both and although we had some unusual musical requests, these were met with open arms and excitement from all. Great day and night was had and in a few words, BOOK IT !!

Best day of our lives 💕
Louize and the Citation team are amazing. The venue is stunning and I wish I could do it all over again 💕 The staff can not do enough for you. Louize went above and beyond to make our day extra special after several postponements! Our guests said the food was beautiful and the dance floor was never empty as we had the best lady DJ no song request was a problem. The best day of our lives Clare and George May 2022

Perfect in all ways
I really couldn’t recommend Louize and the team at Citation enough. We booked our wedding just before the pandemic hit and our original date fell within one of the multiple lockdowns. Louize kept in regular contact, putting our minds at ease every step of the way. From date changes to accommodating a full vegan menu, they really went over and above to make our special day perfect. Everything on the day ran so smoothly. All our guests were astounded by the high level of professionalism and efficacy of the staff. Colin the chef was an absolute star. He gave us multiple options and even our staunch carnivorous guests were blown away by how delicious the food was. I can guarantee your big day is in the best of hands with Louize and Citation. I just wish we could do it all over again!!!

Amazing unique & beautiful wedding venue in city centre…truly perfect
A stunning venue…from the moment we saw the online brochure we knew this venue was going to be perfect and in person it was even more amazing. The finishing touches are perfect and we didn’t feel the need to add any of our own decor. The set up for the ceremony, outside space for the drinks reception (if your lucky like we were to have the sunshine), meal and evening reception just helped the day flow perfectly. The staff (Louise, Ethan and the rest of the team) were amazing and the food was to die for. You just get the sense that everyone is focused on giving the best service to make the day perfect. All our guests commented what a brilliant day they had and what a wonderful venue we’d chosen. Definitely was the perfect day at the perfect venue.

A truly magical venue
The most stunning venue and professional team taking the stress out of the day. We had absolutely nothing to do but turn up and enjoy ourselves. The day went like clockwork, the food is amazing. Everyone raved about it. We are so grateful to Louize and the team for everything they did in the lead up and on the day. They couldn’t do enough and they accommodated everything from last minute covid changes to surprise guests and video links. It was a perfect day and we’re still buzzing. We are so happy to have had our wedding in Citation. It’s a stunning venue in the best location in Glasgow.

Perfect from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble
Fantastic wedding experience from the initial planning through to the finer details and the big day itself! Citation was a beautiful venue for our daughter's wedding and the planning was very straightforward and stress free. Louize is clearly very experience at organising events and nothing was too much trouble. All staff were very professional and again, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing with great choices for everyone taking into account allergies and preferences. The sun shone on the day and we had the benefit of the beer garden that had been set up at the side of the building which was just perfect. The balcony is also available which was decorated beautifully and lit up at night giving a beautiful setting for photographs. I would highly recommend Citation for any event and would not hesitate to use Citation for any future celebration.

Spectacular Venue & Excellent Service
'Genuinely cannot recommend Citation highly enough, we recently got married here and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. From our first enquiry, right up to the wedding day Louize could not have been more helpful and patient, always on hand to answer any questions and make recommendations, and always quick to respond. My husband and I had to plan this wedding from England where we live, and Louize could not have been more helpful and accommodating with the distance, I can not imagine how you could plan a wedding without Louize, she is truly exceptional at her job.
The venue itself was absolutely stunning on the day and despite knowing what to expect, i was taken aback by how beautiful it was. The candles, fairy lights and flowers made the venue so romantic and unique, and I lost count of how many guests complimented the food! It was truly delicious and felt more fine dining that catering for a large crowd.
I will always treasure the memories of the day at this special venue, and recommend to anyone planning a wedding in Glasgow!'
