Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park is an elegant landmark wedding venue near Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. Facilities and Capacity

Compton Verney stands out for its choice of gorgeous licensed ceremony spaces. Just a short walk from the main house is the Grade 1 listed non-religious Chapel, effortlessly blending traditional atmosphere with flawless contemporary elegance. Open for up to 100 people, this striking setting features intricate plaster and marble work with large windows that fill the space with natural light. In warmer seasons, you could opt to host your union within the historic parkland, overlooking the woodlands, wildflower meadows, and idyllic Warwickshire countryside. Inside the restored manor, a world-class collection of artworks set the tone for an intimate celebration. Amongst the splendour of Renaissance Naples, guests can mingle with Champagne glass and canapes in hand. The Adam Hall is the venue's most illustrious wedding breakfast and reception location. Boasting a capacity of 120 seated and 150 evening guests, the space sits proudly as the jewel of the estate. Ornate marble floors, grand pillars, and high ceilings exude timeless sophistication, while the neutral décor leaves it joyfully open to your imagination.

A dedicated wedding co-ordinator is included with your venue hire alongside choice extras such as limewash crossback chairs and tables, a black and white checkerboard dancefloor, a table plan easel, and a cake table. You can also enjoy a selection of exquisite food and drink from our exclusive caterers, Anthony's Catering, Cotswold Fine Dining, Shakespeare Kicthen, and Chana Catering Services, as well as expert mixologists, Sip 'n' Swig.

September 2024 Micro-wedding

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Compton Verney. The whole wedding/events team that were both involved on the day and throughout the planning stages were fantastic! Hannah and the team were so accommodating and flexible (especially considering our quick turnaround). Samantha was our co-ordinator on the day and did an amazing job, going above and beyond her duties. It was a pleasure having her as part of our day, and many of our guests commented on how friendly and professional the whole team were.

We highly recommend both the venue and events team, and look forward to returning in the future!

Perfect venue for a perfect day!

We felt privileged to get married at Compton Verney, it is a truly amazing location that will make our wedding memorable not just for us but our guests. Unique venue with the wow factor!

Upon looking for a wedding venue, we only visited Compton Verney as we were being very selective and there were very few beautiful buildings with light and bright interiors.

We fell in love instantly. The Chapel was a real selling point as it had a very Italian romantic ceremony feel and combining the use of the outside grounds, the courtyard and Adams Hall made Compton Verney an easy choice for our special day.

The venue is STUNNING!! It’s hard to find a wedding venue that compares but it does come with some restrictions with it being a listed building,
There were a few elements we really wanted but were not able to go ahead with due to this.. we didn’t actually take this into consideration when booking. I must add, Compton Verney did always offer alternative ideas.

Hannah, the Events Coordinator was honestly so helpful. She helped us throughout every process, including communicating with all suppliers etc, bringing our special day together seamlessly. Hannah also suggested ideas and helped us to make them reality.

The day itself was just PERFECT. All the little things we worried about were just a waste of time. The staff working on the wedding day went above and beyond. Everything ran so smoothly.

We want to say a huge thank you to Hannah and the whole team. Our day was an absolute dream… everything we wished for and more!

Can we do it again please!!!?? :)

The perfect day!

We couldn’t have chosen a more stunning and memorable venue for our wedding than Compton Verney. Having grown up visiting Compton Verney as a child and with an interest in its incredible artwork, it was always a dream wedding venue!

Hannah and the team were incredibly helpful and professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Throughout the planning process, Hannah was so attentive and flexible, catering to our requests with ease.

Thank you, Compton Verney, for helping to create such an unforgettable day. We would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

We had an incredible day... but it was a huge ammount of work

We had a wonderful day, the venue is gorgeous and things may be different this year but I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone unless they are also hiring a separate events team & planner. We planned everything ourselves and organised multiple individual suppliers for each element, including external catering (no use of CV kitchens allowed at the time), hiring a bar, hiring bar staff, additiona serving staff, people to set up and clear away the venue. The timescales are tight, for a Saturday wedding the venue needs to be clear and cleaned (by you) before 10am the following day and can only be set up from 9am on the day of the wedding. As a bride I had to personally help take down tables, clear rubbish and load vans a midnight on my wedding night as CV do not have any form of internal events team. We hired staff to assist but CV doesn't provide an events manager to be there to organise and oversee this process so I had to do this (although the couple of staff who were on hand were incredibly helpful at the time). Even a wedding planner wouldn't have been sufficient as the set up began at 9am and clear up began at Midnight so two managers would be needed if you weren't doing this yourself. We had an amazing day, but only becuase we did a huge ammount of planning and organising to ensure we had plans and back up plans! CV only really privided the empty venue and absolutely nothing else. If we hadn't been able to stay at the coach house next door (separately organised, for £350/night) things would/could have been very different!

The best day of our lives

The staff at CV are fantastic at their job. We had the type of wedding that required multiple settings and a tight schedule. They were very professional and accommodating at every step. Since they are a functioning art gallery, they will always have a temperature-controlled rainy day plan. The Capability Brown landscape is absolutely breathtaking; people couldn't stop talking about it. All in all: such a perfect venue that you can keep visiting year after year with family and friends.

Achieved everything we asked of them and more

The events team were outstanding in every way. Friendly and relaxed planning, everything thought of in advance and all our questions answered. The day ran like clockwork, the team were incredible - so efficient and professional! We didn't have a single criticism of Compton Verney - they achieved everything we asked of them and more!

Fell for its beauty, charm and understated glamour

From the first day we visited Compton Verney to view it as a potential wedding venue we both fell for its beauty, charm and understated glamour. It truly is a magical place that grabs you from the moment you turn the corner and view the house over the lake. The staff worked tirelessly to make our wedding day perfect and we felt that we had their full attention at every meeting. Our guests all commented on the venue, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the catering and we couldn’t have faulted anything. Thank you for making our day so perfect.

We were truly made to feel very special

The venue and the events team were absolutely fantastic from day one of booking! No request was too much. The whole planning of the day was easy and personalised. We were truly made to feel very special by every member of the team even more so on the day. On the day the team were incredibly attentive to us and our family and friends, which was commented on. We would do it again in a heartbeat in such a beautiful setting and grounds! We will continue to enjoy visiting Compton Verney for the rest of our married lives together as it hold a truly special place in our hearts.

We didnt look anywhere else

Our wedding at Compton Verney was a dream come true, I had grown up visiting CV and had always been in awe of the most amazing building, artwork and grounds and when it came to choosing our wedding venue I couldn't think of anywhere better to celebrate our marriage. I took my fiancé to visit and he fell in love with it too - we didn't look anywhere else! And we booked CV the very same week. We had the most perfect day with all our friends and family, with memories we shall treasure forever. The staff were so friendly and made the day flow seamlessly, we wouldn't change a thing!!

Best part of the day has to have been the staff

We held our wedding reception at Compton Verney in November 2019. The venue itself its absolutely stunning surrounded by beautiful grounds. The best part of the day however has to have been the staff, led by Sally on the day. They made the drinks, eating, and dancing go so smoothly and made us feel so relaxed during the day. We would 100% recommend Compton Verney as a place to have your wedding celebrations!

Sally, Penny and the entire team at Compton Verney did an amazing job of ensuring our Wedding Day went exactly to plan. Sally made me feel so comfortable and confident during the planning that my Mum and I were able to completely relax and enjoy the preparations and experience, knowing that everything would be set up exactly as we had envisioned and discussed. The day ran so smoothly and perfectly to plan and everyone commented on what a great day and venue it was. I know how much effort it takes behind the scenes to make the day run smoothly and am so grateful for all of your hard work in pulling it together. Paddy, myself and our parents are all so thrilled with how the day went. It was the perfect setting and I'm so pleased we were able to hold the ceremony outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Sally is extremely talented at her job and we feel so lucky to have had you working with us to make our day the huge success it was. It was so lovely coming in to collect the boxes the following morning and having the staff comment on what a lovely day it was. Our guests couldn't praise the venue and everyone working there enough. The whole team were fantastic and did all they good to support our dream wedding day (and we asked for a lot) and I couldn't recommend Compton Verney more highly as a Wedding venue.
