Situated just 8 miles north of Leeds city centre, Bannatyne Cookridge Hall is a Grade II listed historic hall originally the home of a wealthy landowner, dating back to 1721.

The listed building, set amongst an 18 hole golf course and beautiful grounds, makes the perfect backdrop to celebrate your wedding in style. Fall in love with it’s unique character and many original features.

A friendly welcome greets you from the moment you step through our front door. From your initial enquiry, to the day itself, our professional and attentive team will be there to support you throughout each and every step of your planning process.

Your day will be tailored perfectly to your requirements ensuring that your wedding is the one of your dreams.

With menus designed to meet your exact specification and fine wines, you can be sure that your personal tastes are reflected throughout every aspect of your day.

Complemented by picturesque grounds that act as the perfect backdrop to your photographs, this inspired choice of venue will ensure your wedding day is one to remember.

Our function suite, The Conservatory can seat 80 guests for a traditional wedding breakfast and can accommodate up to 120 for your evening reception. Our Cedar Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 50 guests. Both rooms overlook the beautiful grounds with plenty of natural light.

Although we have no accommodation on site, there are many local hotels a short taxi ride away.

Couldnt have asked for more

Very well organised wedding day. The staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks everyone. Would recommend to anyone.

You made our day perfect

Unbelievable venue! 5* all day long, fantastic food the room deco was like something off a film set our day was amazing and the staff was first class Mel and Michelle a massive thankyou. You made our day perfect.

We had a fantastic night

We had our evening reception at cookridge Hall health and fitness following our wedding in Mexico.

The room looked amazing and we had a fantastic night. Everyone commented on how the venue was lovely and how great the food was.

Nothing was too much trouble for Mel and Michelle and they made us feel at ease through all the planning and always quick to replying to questions and queries.

We would recommend to anyone.

The food was to die for

What a beautiful venue Cookridge Hall is! We held our wedding breakfast and evening do here last month for our wedding and it was just brilliant. Everything ran perfectly and the room looked gorgeous with fairy lights and candles everywhere. Michelle and Mel helped us out so much in the run up to the wedding - No detail was missed and it made our day completley perfect, thank you! The staff where lovely and very helpful throughout the whole day and the food was to die for, with all our guests complimenting it all.
We wanted a very relaxed wedding where our guests could eat, drink and have a great time, holding our venue with Cookridge Hall gave us exacly that and we couldn't of asked for or wished for anything better.

The venue was decorated beautifully

We chose Cookridge Hall for our homecoming Reception following our Wedding in Mexico. The venue was decorated beautifully with our colour scheme and with the added blessing of good weather, we were able to capitalise on the patio and grounds. The evening was perfect with all our guests commenting on how wonderful it was. Special thanks go to Mel and the team, not forgetting the kitchen staff for the amazing food, for making our evening as perfect as it could have been. Thank you so much!

Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding

Recently me and my wife had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Cookridge Hall following a church wedding at Meanwood Holy Trinity Church. This venue is excellent for a wedding reception which took place inside the lovely spacious and beautifully set up and decorated conservatory. We took full advantage of the stunning private garden and outdoor seating area which the guests and ourselves used to enjoy the 26° temperatures and to take some of the most lovely photos to remember our special day. Michelle and Mel the two event organisers helped us to plan and produce the wedding of our dreams, they were there and happy to help anytime we needed anything and helped us make the process as less stressful as possible, also all the staff that worked on our day were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Wouldn't of changed anything for the world and would highly recommend this venue for your wedding.

The venue & the grounds are absolutely beautiful

We chose Cookridge Hall for our wedding venue in June and we cannot thank Mel & Michelle enough for making our wedding so special. From the moment we met them, they listened to our plans and ideas and did everything they could to make our dream wedding possible. They were always available on email and call and nothing was too big of a task for them.
On the wedding day, they made sure everything went perfectly from the beginning until the very end, taking time to speak to all our guests and making sure my husband and I were happy with every little detail.
The venue itself and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and our wedding photos are so lovely because of this (see photos in comments). We were lucky to have amazing weather on our wedding day which meant everybody could use of the outdoor patio area throughout the day and evening.
The food was gorgeous and everybody commented how lovely it tasted
We would 100% recommend anybody to hold their wedding reception here and cannot thank you both (and all the staff working on the day) for everything you did for us

Perfect

We had our wedding reception here in April 2017 and it was absolutely fantastic. The venue felt really intimate and cosy and the food was gorgeous. Michelle and Mel were absolutely incredible in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself, answering any questions I had and making sure everything went smoothly. It was also great for all our guests to have the option of either a) dancing in the main hall, b) sitting in one of the adjoining rooms if they preferred to talk or c) sitting outside. Basically there was something for everyone. Would 100% recommend having your wedding here.

Perfect Venue

What a Fantastic day!

We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Cookridge Hall this April. We had a fantastic day and it was in no small part to the efforts of Michelle and Mel. Preparations for the day were well organised and thorough - with everything accommodated to a standard that we expected. The conservatory looked fantastic and there was plenty of space for our guests; both in the garden and lounge area. My wife and I would heartily recommend Cookridge Hall to anyone in search of a Wedding reception venue; it made our day!

Out of this world

We had our wedding here in August 2015 such an amazing day the room looked out of this world!
The food was the best we have tasted and the evening buffee was amazing.
The staff were so lovely and couldn't help enough.
Big thank you to Michelle for putting up with me and my ideas it wouldnt of been my dream without your help .

Highly recommend

We held our wedding reception at Cookridge Hall in October 2016 the staff were without exception amazing both on the day and beforehand. The food was delicious and all of our guests said it was the nicest venue and food they had experienced at a wedding... highly recommended

Great value for money

We had our beautiful wedding reception at Cookridge Hall in April 2015. In the run up to the wedding Claire and Michelle were so helpful: lots of ideas and always available to a neurotic list-writing bride to be! The day couldn't have been any more perfect, the food was incredible, all of our decorations had been placed, everything ran incredibly smoothly and was great value for money. Not sure who to thank, but we even got a glorious day of sunshine to play lawn games outside! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Thank you

We held our wedding breakfast and evening reception at Cookridge Hall in May 2016. Michelle and Claire were fantastic throughout, particularly in helping to arrange our menu catering for vegetarians and vegans, as well as answering my endless questions and queries.
We loved the venue from the first time we saw it – the conservatory is so light and airy, the outside space is great and safe for kids to run around and the adults lounge is the perfect space for people to sit and chat.
On the day the venue looked great, the food was spot on and everything ran smoothly. All of the staff were so friendly and worked tirelessly to ensure our day was the best it could be. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend Cookridge Hall.

A wedding day i wish i could do again!!

Our Wedding day at Cookridge hall was amazing.
The staff are with you from the start of planning your big day, and with you all day on the big day, all the members of staff are amazing and are so helpful.

The food is outstanding, didnt get any complaints from family about the food as it was just amazing.
The evening buffet was outstanding aswell, plenty of food for evreyone and more.

There is plenty of areas for people to sit down and cathc up with each other and it just gives your wedding a great atmosphire, and i couldnt of asked for a better venue to have my wedding then this one, just amazing would love to do it all again.

So a big thankyou to Michelle and Mel for making our day special.
