Hidden in the heart of the Cornish countryside near the scenic fishing village of Port Isaac, Cornish Tipi Weddings is a bohemian wedding venue in the far south west of the UK. In this woodland wonderland, couples can exchange vows and have a magical celebration to remember. They're free to create a day built around their wishes and make their dream wedding or elopement a reality.
Facilities and Capacity
Cornish Tipi Weddings is a licensed wedding venue so couples can spend their entire day in its picturesque surroundings. Say your vows in the wedding pavilion in front of up to 300 guests while foxgloves, wild roses, and a stream create a charming backdrop. Roll up the walls of the pavilion to let in the sunlight and sounds of the tranquil countryside. You can also hold a legal service by the beautiful private lake, the perfect backdrop for a magical and enchanting wedding.
If you have already tied the knot and are wishing to renew your vows or looking for something more informal, then our beautiful venue with 20 acres of woodland could not be more perfect. After your service why not wander through the woodlands or down to the lake for whimsical wedding photos. You can hang lanterns, bunting, photographs or flowers and there’s even a sweet rowing boat. The venue's biggest tipi, the Grand Lodge, sits across from the ceremony pavilion. This area is perfect for a celebratory toast and cocktail reception. Wedding breakfasts can be held in the marquee meadow, which will seat up to 300 dining guests. The lawns around this marquee are perfect for letting younger guests run and play. The newlyweds can end the night beneath the stars as they make memories to last a lifetime. Couples and their guests can stay on-site overnight in the provided tipis, adding a festival vibe to any event.

The in-house wedding coordinators will be on hand to provide support and top tips from the moment you book until the day itself, when you will be looked after by the venue manager throughout the day. Dream wedding venue and most special setting
Cornish Tipis was the only venue we visited and loved it from the get go. Now 5 days after our wedding i can confirm it was everything we dreamed of and more! I LOVED it. It has such a warm feeling and so many of our guests were blown away by our ceremony on the pontoon looking over the lake and the most asked question being 'how did you find this place?!'. It felt like a dream come true :) It was the perfect mix and combination of a DIY wedding that you could make and personalise yourself but also had the amazing support and help from the staff to make it exactly as we pictured and put my mind at ease. We had Gastropod on site do our food which was brilliant and having the top village field for 33 of our friends to stay was the perfect way to make a whole weekend of it. I honestly had the best day of my life and can't get over how beautiful the lake and venue is. It's being able to add the personal touches yourself and dress the marquee and field how you wish which makes the day feel tailor made for you. I can't wait to visit every year and to one day bring our children :) x Kate & Ben

Thank you so much for helping to make our day the best day of our lives. When viewing wedding venues Cornish Tipis was initially a wild card as we were set on getting married on the beach. However, after viewing Cornish Tipi Weddings with Kim we instantly fell in love with the venue and knew we couldn’t get married anywhere else- it was the perfect venue for a fairy tale, midsummers nights dream wedding in the woods crossed with a festival. It’s the perfect blend of working with experts who have clearly done so many weddings before, but the DIY nature of the venue means that you can really add your own touch to the decoration and the day can be completely what you want it to be. You’re in full control of the order of the events and how you want your wedding to be. It was really important to us that everything happened in one place for our wedding so that guests could turn up on Friday and not have to leave if they didn’t want to until the Sunday morning after the wedding. There was a yellow weather warning for rain for our wedding an it was still incredible! Kim liaised with with all of our suppliers to make sure they were fully informed and told us everything we had to bring for the venue- along with plenty of organisation tips and tricks. I can’t recommend this venue more highly to be honest!

Magical and Down To Earth
We would highly recommend CTW!
So many of our guests said it was the BEST WEDDING EVER! Due to the setting. Getting married by the Lake was magical.
Staff were so adaptable to some last minute changes on the day due to the weather. The general Zen vibe on site automatically makes any anxious bride calm and chill.
CTW communicated really great through out our planning months. They were genuinely excited and with us and in no way felt like just another wedding nor customer.
We will definitely be going back for future anniversaries.

Better than we could have hoped!
We had the most amazing experience with Cornish Tipis. In the year leading up to the wedding they were always friendly, responsive and helpful on email, and when we visited the venue. Our first look round with Kim confirmed to us it was the place for us, as we loved the relaxed but organised vibe, and how much choice you have with what you do. The best things about the venue are the staff, who are all friendly, chilled but also efficient, the beautiful site, the festival vibe- having everyone stay for the whole weekend meant we spent time with everyone and had fun with guests young and old, how much freedom you have with your day, including no corkage charge and being able to decorate however you like and choose different suppliers, the wonderful on site food, the importance of sustainability with eco toilets, great recycling and an off grid low impact feel. All our guests had an amazing time and so did we.

Me and my husband got married here on the 11/08/23 and we could not of wished for a better ceremony! Everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much. It was the nice chilled wedding we wanted. The venue itself is beautiful and picturesque. Our Pictures turned out even better than we imagined. We took full advantage of the lake! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! xxx

Communicative, friendly and hardworking: the best wedding supplier!
We had such an amazing Wedding with Cornish Tipis: They bent over backwards to make our day as special and as hassle free as it could be, and we couldn't have been happier with the result. They were communicative over email, happy to help as much as they could on the day and, most importantly, friendly to us and our guests: thank you so much Cornish Tipis from Bridie and Dyfan :) x

The perfect outdoor venue
The venue is so naturally beautiful and the ceremony area is perfect for anyone that is looking for that emersive outdoor romantic setting. The staff couldn't be more friendly on the day, treating us with kindness and positivity and the staff that helped in the planning stages were very responsive and gave detailed information throughout. It felt like a festival camping on site with all of your best mates and family and everyone had the most fantastic time. There is excellent provision for the wet weather too with a good sized marquee.

Beautiful venue and incredible team
Me and my wife had the best wedding service and reception at Cornish Tipis. It is truly a unique experience, with many of our guests still reliving the day. Kim, Lizzy & the team were incredible to work with and stayed calm when me and my wife were panicking. We highly recommend Cornish Tipis for a truly amazing wedding day!

Above and beyond
I cannot recommend Cornish Tipi's enough. We booked an elopement wedding with relatively short notice and the team were incredibly helpful. On the day the staff were amazing, attentive and ensured everything ran seamlessly. It was perfect and the venue is absolutely stunning.

The perfect wedding venue
We couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect and beautiful wedding venue. The team were outstanding and made everything so special and made us at ease as soon as we arrived. Everything they did, all the little details were so perfect. We riskily didn’t visit the location prior to our wedding day and to be truly honest, I’m glad we didn’t. Being left speechless by our marriage spot, which was the lake, added to the magic of the day. The staff were also really helpful with helping us with anything we needed.

The best day of our lives
Such a beautiful venue and the staff were lovely and very helpful. They advised me and gave me many options, our budget was tight but we had the most beautiful wonderful day and did not go without. When I first set eyes on this venue I honestly thought it would be out of my budget because it’s absolutely out of this world. We traveled down for 7 hours and spent the week in Cornwall with all our friends and family and was still in budget. Honestly cannot recommend them enough. Thanks to all at the Cornish tipi for giving us the best venue ever !!

Magical venue
Cornish tipis was the most magical venue for our wedding. It looks incredible in photos, but photos still don’t do it any justice!!! We got married in the pavilion and then had our evening reception in the lower village field and it was all perfect. The setting is gorgeous, and we were extremely lucky to have beautiful weather too. The staff on the day were really hard working and so polite and helpful. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing about the venue or how our day went. If you want a beautiful outdoors, laid back wedding then this is definitely the venue for you :)

Amazing venue, super friendly and helpful staff
Our wedding absolutely perfect. Not was it the perfect location, with many scenic backdrops but the staff really couldnt do enough to help. Kim was absolutely amazing not only as a wedding coordinator but also a fantastic, super friendly photographer and our pictures were out of this world. John and the lads were also super helpful, friendly and nothing was too much of an ask. We even had a delay on our end on the wedding day and all the staff at the venue were super understanding and helped smoothly change the order of the day around to suit us.
