Cottons Hotel and Spa is a wedding and events venue located in the town of Knutsford in Cheshire, England. Nestled near Tatton Park, this four-star hotel offers a relaxing, modern retreat for couples to enjoy their wedding weekend. Their multiple event spaces, dedicated staff, and curated packages will ensure that you and your guests receive high-quality service.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue features an excellent selection of spaces perfect for small services and extravagant events. Their rooms can cater for up to 200 guests and can be used individually or in combination to suit your wedding requirements. The Verandah Suite is ideal for wedding breakfasts for up to 120 guests and evening receptions ranging from 80 to 180 guests. With its own private bar and reception area, the room is completely self-contained for your celebrations. The Tabley can cater for up to 50 guests for your wedding breakfast. With access to the outside terrace, their own private bar and lounge area, you can enjoy the versatile facilities in privacy. As a four-star hotel, the hotel has a total of 138 quality bedrooms for your overnight guests. The happy couple can also enjoy a stay in the Junior Suite, a bottle of chilled champagne and breakfast the following morning.

Wedding Day
I had a small wedding at Cottons Hotel and Spa in the Plumbley suite and it was a wonderful day / evening; the staff at Cottons could not have been any more professional and friendly especially Jess and Alex who were amazing on the day itself.
Leading up to the day I was in communication with Jess and she was always available and happy to help.
The food and drink was perfect, excellent value for money, I would have no hesitation in recommending Cottons and the services from Alex and Jess for a wedding event.

Our perfect wedding
We got married in July 24 at the lovely cottons hotel and Spa! From the moment we booked we were excited to have our day at the cottons. Jess our wedding planner at the venue was just amazing she kept in touch and nothing was too much trouble for her! She emailed back so quickly and we knew we could call her for any little query. We were invited in before our big day to taste the menu and wine and we had the most perfect stay at the hotel that evening!
In the run up to our day everything was so organised and Jess liaised with our suppliers so everyone knew what we wanted and how things would work on our day. I had no stress at all Jess made sure everything we wanted was noted and taken care of.
The day before, I checked in with my bridal party and we enjoyed using the spa and had an amazing meal! The service at the cottons is second to none we enjoyed every minute of that day and night. We were invited to sit down with the manager the day before and go over the plan for our day again to ensure we were happy. This really gave us peace of mind that everyone was ready and organised.
The next day, our wedding day, my bridal party and I were well looked after while we got ready! Alex who was in charge that day, organised everyone and the day ran so smoothly it was just perfect! The wedding breakfast was amazing, all our guests commented on the food. The service was amazing, everything was exactly how we wanted it. There wasn’t a moment where we weren’t sure what was happening or what we should be doing, the team at the Cottons just excelled and we had a stress free beautiful day which we cannot thank them enough for! We would choose the Cottons Hotel and Spa again in a heartbeat! We look forward to returning for our anniversary!

Wedding day perfection
Wow. We fell in love with the Cottons from the moment we saw the room. We knew we had to get married there! It was the best choice we could have made. It was exceptional. From ease of payment, to ease of arrangements, we couldn't have picked anywhere better. The communication and responsiveness was exceptional. The food was outstanding. The day and night ran like clockwork. Best decision we ever made. The packages are excellent and make your life so easy! We will always love the Cottons ❤️

Fantastic service from start to finish
I had attended Cottons on a wedding fayre day and it was great to see the hotel set up in the way you expect to see it on the day of the wedding which gave a great insight of what’s to come. I had been liaising with Jess prior about prices and dates of availability and had fully transparent prices and expectations which is great when you’re booking a wedding.
From then all i can say is Jess and the team are spectacular, they check in with you regularly, you never feel like you’re chasing them and you are involved in the process the entire way through. The day went off seamlessly. I had planned how i wanted things to go as we were bringing our own decor instead of using vendors and they listened and made notes attentively. The food was brilliant too and catered well to allergens and vegans.
I would recommend this venue to anybody looking for a wedding in the north west. We had 50 in the day and 75 in the evening and there was plenty space.

Best day of my life
From start to finish the Cottons were so accommodating and helpful. Even with a change in staff the new coordinator was so helpful and it was like she had been there from the start. Alex who ran the Wedding went above and beyond to do all he could to help us and was still there at 1am asking us if we needed anything.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and myself, my husband and out guests often say how brilliant the day was and it was partly down to the staff.
The venue was perfect for our special day with perfect photo opportunities all around the grounds.

Just the best day to start married life
From contacting Cottons to viewing for our wedding venue to right through to leaving as Mr & Mrs we were looked after exceptionally well. The tour of the hotel and facilities showed what a comfortable and relaxed venue it was.
Friendly staff took the time to discuss what we wanted for our wedding day. Nothing was too much trouble. The food tasting was delicious and guided us to our choices for the wedding breakfast. Organising rooms, venue dressers and a kids chill out zone really made the day feel special.
The bridal party and family enjoyed a few days together around the wedding day making the whole weekend relaxed. The day was just perfect.

Wedding day
Communication throughout the whole process of booking our wedding day at cottons was so easy. Even with a change in wedding manager during our time, it was a really easy transition and no confusion between wedding managers.
Everything was so professional throughout and no request we made was too much, both the wedding manager Jess helping to the run up of the wedding and set out the day just how we wanted, and the manager who looked after us on the day were lovely, professional and made sure everything went exactly how it was planned.
The day couldn’t have ran any smoother, absolutely no hiccups and it was everything and more that we were expecting.

An unforgettable wedding day
We got married at Cottons Hotel and Spa on the 4th of November 2023, and it was truly an unforgettable day. The quality of service from everyone, especially Jess and Alex, was outstanding and made our wedding day so special.
The team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. They were incredibly hospitable, professional, and approachable, taking all the stress out of the day. The food and drink were plentiful and catered perfectly, and their attention to detail was impeccable.
It was such a lovely experience that we’ve already been back to revisit the venue. A big thank you to everyone at Cottons Hotel and Spa for making our wedding day so amazing. Highly recommend it for anyone planning their special day!
