Tom & I have been together for 15 years, we have two children and a lot of history. We knew we needed a venue that could work for us as a family and a team to help tell our story and make the day run as smoothly as possible - and boy, Shotesham didn’t disappoint! With us every step of the way from initial planning to saying goodnight at the end of the wedding day, the staff at Shotesham could not have been better. Our wedding planner Lydia was all over the little details, so calm, collected and organised. All our guests (and even some suppliers!) said they thought it was one of the best weddings they’d been to, and this was in a huge part down to the staff, the venue and the food. All completely perfect - we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Let’s just say, they helped us make it worth the wait!

We had our wedding at The Old Nene and could not have picked a better venue. The staff were amazing and attentive and the attention to detail was unmatched. The professionalism and service provided was superb. From start to finish our needs were put first. The venue was perfect for our requirements and the food was outstanding. The communication was constant and nothing was to much for the venue to accommodate.

Chaucer barn was our absolute dream venue, beautiful beyond words. The entire team, with a special shout out to Ellie, were so lovely. They made the process from booking through to the day so easy. Responses were great and they helped with every question we had. I could not recommend chaucer barn and the team highly enough!

What a beautiful blank canvas for your wedding day Mill Farm is! Lucy and Marilyn have been so welcoming from start to finish! We almost had to reschedule our date due to family bereavement and emergencies, and they have been pretty amazing with all the changes back and forth. Fay, their event manager is just the best. She has been so professional, supportive, welcoming and helpful from start to finish. So so friendly and has an eye for detail! We are so grateful for her, as she took a lot, if not all the stress off of me (us)! Our guests and even our suppliers were amazed how awesome this venue is. It’s a blank canvas that you can dress however you’d like. We did a lot of DIY for our festival themed wedding, and it looked more beautiful than I imagined. The house is stunning, I could live there full time. The bell tents are super cute! It’s a bonus that they have a barn as well and a kitchen on site and the caterers didn’t need to use the house and ceremony could be held there if the weather is not the best. We had the most magical day here, and we highly recommend this venue for anyone! Look no further!

We celebrated our wedding at Mayflower Place on 25th May 2024 and from beginning to end Vicky was fantastic- in the planning stages we had plenty of options of menus and Vicky offered lots of flexibility and suggestions to help us decide on what we wanted. She set up the venue beautifully with decorations we had provided and when we arrived everything was perfect. She and her team were so friendly and professional throughout. The food was delicious, wonderfully presented and plentiful. I can not thank Vicky and her team enough for making our day run smoothly and perfectly. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious and has a fantastic outside area too. I would 100% recommend Mayflower Place for weddings and any other special occasion. Thank you for making our day so special!

Set I. The heart of Saffron Walden, Bridgr end gardens is the perfect venue to create the wedding of your dreams. We had perfect weather and enjoyed our special day in a traditional English country garden.

The hall (Balcony Room) were a fantastic venue for our Christmas wedding reception. We were able to visit several times in advance and they were very accommodating and flexible with our requests, from the set-up to the day itself. They responded to emails and helped us to figure out how to use the screens and sound system in the ways we wanted. The hall itself is a blank canvas so we were able to make it feel exactly how we wanted, and the fairy lights and ceiling decorations looked great. It's a beautiful spacious room and would suit lots of different styles of wedding. Thanks also to the bar staff who were great!

I would totally recommend this venue for your wedding. The value for money was amazing. Included in our package was Canapes, 3 Course meal, evening food, dj, toastmaster, orangery. On the night before the wedding we were allowed to come and drop off everything and the staff did the set up over night and on the morning of. We had extra decorations which they offered to arrange for us and kept us informed of everything the whole day. Even the staff at reception were extremely helpful putting homemade hangover kits in each of the guests rooms prior to check in We couldn't compliment the venue enough. The wedding food was delicious, as was the breakfast in the morning.

I cannot recommend Crown Hall farm enough! We got married here on 4th August 2023 and it was perfect from start to finish! The venue speaks for itself, it’s beautiful, but the team there were amazing too! Natalie guided us right from the start, booking, payments, fine detail and personalised ideas! Billy was great! He made sure the day ran smoothly and he couldn’t help us enough! The team understood exactly what we wanted and they made it happen! Thank you!

Charlotte and the team at Barnsdale Gardens were amazing. The venue is absolutely stunning no matter the season or the weather. Our pictures were beautiful. Charlotte made lots of special arrangements for us on the day and was very efficient and calm - which is just what we needed.
