Country Wedding Venues in Scotland

Had my wedding here in summer 2022 Nothing was to much trouble I emailed them with my idea of a garden picnic wedding and they couldn’t of been more helpful and made sure all my ideas and even things I hadn’t thought of came to life. The garden I had my wedding in was set up beautiful and I was given lots of options of how this could be done, we then had a marquee for the night time ceremony which again was set up however way we wanted it The wedding venue is a blank canvas and a bride with lots of outdoor ideas would love it The on-site accommodation was great and the we were allowed to use all the facilities that they have in the bothy.

What a stunning venue. The team at Whitekirk went above & beyond for us on our wedding day! It was exactly what we dreamed of. Nothing was too much of an ask the team really pulled out all the stops. Couldn’t recommend this venue enough, especially if you’re looking for somewhere with flexibility in what you can & can’t do. Everything from the communication to the planning to the actual day was amazing! Thank you so much to Erin & all the team at Whitekirk, We will definitely be back visiting.

Where to start? Fell in love with Springkell immediately on sight, the pictures will never do it justice, you have to experience the feel of Springkell. Owner James, a true gentleman, makes Springkell feel like your home. The staff - Fiona the wedding co-ordinator - amazing, every step of the way, a true gem! Gill - who literally creates your dream day, nothing is too much trouble and your wedding breakfast set-up will blow you away, so creative and stunningly beautiful! The chefs, wow! The food is absolutely amazing, from breakfast to wedding dining - just an experience not to be missed. The waiting staff go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble. Our guests were all blown away with the service they received, one even stating a waitress ran out to her car to get her own phone charger for her to use as she had forgotten hers!!! I mean, that is above and beyond. I happened to mention that Robert who works the bar told me he speaks German. My partner is German and his relatives were coming to the wedding, I was told there and then they would have him working the bar at our wedding. He was working and made our German family and friends feel right at home. The rooms are luxurious, spacious and scrupulously clean! Oh, again feedback from all our guests - the mattresses are divine, so comfortable and huge beds! The character of this stately home have been meticulously cared for and preserved, it is quite breath taking on entering. So, needless to say, I would recommend Springkell for any occasion, or even a romantic night away. You will be spoiled from start to finish. I think my dad summed up Springkell and its team perfectly when he said the morning after the wedding "many venues promise a dream, Springkell delivers the dream.

Glencorse House & Kirk was the first wedding venue we went to view and we knew instantly that this was the perfect venue for us! The Kirk is a beautiful place to get married in and we had so many compliments from our guests. We had the most amazing day and everything ran so smoothly thanks to Sarah and her team who were on hand to help whenever needed, both on the day and the run up. The chef, Paul, ensured that all details were organised well in advance and the food tasted absolutely delicious- again with multiple compliments from our guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and the service provided at Glencorse was amazing – we would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a stunning venue to host their special day.

Great venue, stunning location and amazing hosts. Liz and Billy went above and beyond in making our day everything and more than what we could have hoped for. If you want an intimate wedding then The Shore House is a truly fantastic venue, we were so lucky to find them and can't thank them enough for helping us make our day as special as it was.

As keen road cyclists we headed to the Scottish Borders with our tandem to get married as well as ride some of the route which he battled through when we got to together. It seemed fitting and finding the tranquil setting of Roulotte Retreat became another beautiful piece of our story. The website does not do Roulotte Retreat justice! Avril and Alan have created something truly unique with so much heart and soul.... We were married outside in their gorgeous wildflower meadow following our lovely vegan breakfast hamper in our Roulotte. We enjoyed a simple stress-free morning and it was more than we could have ever asked for. We took Avril up on her recommendations for a local meal in the evening and photographer to capture our day. Both were great and having this support took all the fuss we wanted to avoid, out of the day. We thought we may miss our family and friends but Avril and Alan more than made up for that by making us feel supported with their kindness and enthusiasm on our special day. To describe our elopement and what Avril and Alan have created at Roulotte Retreat as 'magical' sounds a little over romanticised, but it truly was, and it will be a day we will never forget! We feel blessed to have shared our special day with Avril and Alan and our wonderful registrar, Jane who came recommended by them. Jane was a lovely calming energy who made the ceremony stunning, lifted our excitement and alleviated our nerves! Thank you all again

The moment we saw this venue we knew this was the place we wanted for our wedding. And it lived up to all our dreams. Helen couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a small ceremony with family in the dining room around the fire followed by high tea in the orangery. Karaoke in the snooker room and drinks by the fires made our wedding weekend perfect. Everyone is still speaking about the beautiful place and will continue to do so.

My husband and I were looking for a location to get married near to where I grew up and with the opportunity for plenty of outdoor photographs. We also wanted to be near to accommodation for our guests, most of who stayed either in Lochgoilhead or Inveraray for the weekend (we provided coach transport to and from the venue on the day). Ardkinglas ticked all the boxes, staff were incredibly helpful, there was plenty of flexibility to tailor the wedding to what we wanted and the building had a stately, yet relaxed family home feel to it. We opted for a Humanist ceremony inside the house and then a marquee on the lawn, provided by tents and events. We used Bumbles catering, and our bar was stocked with local Fyne Ales. Derek Prescott was not only our photographer but also a very close family friend, he captured the day perfectly. We were married in early April 2011 and we were very lucky with the weather, it felt like a summer day, which is unusual for Argyll in April! My husband and I first met through whitewater kayaking and we used this theme throughout our wedding day, we even managed to go for a canoe paddle on the fish pond next to Ardkinglas House, this made for some very special wedding photos! Overall it was a fabulous and exclusive venue, I would certainly recommend Ardkinglas House to other brides and grooms to be.

My husband and I got married at Branxholm on 19.12.16. Myself and my bridesmaids arrived and were greeted with champagne and led to the most amazing bridal suite where we got ready. My guests were greeted with canopes and fizz. Our ceremony was flawless and intimate. Absolutely amazing. We left the wedding 'hut' and were given warm mulled wine by the fire. Our guests were looked after whilst we wandered into the scenery for our photographs! I challenge you to find a more beautiful back drop..... We poured our prosecco tower in front of all our guests, just another small but amazing detail. The bell was rang for dinner and we walked in to the most beautiful dining room! Speeches were made and we ate. The food was faultless absolutely perfect! Whilst we ate, the children enjoyed pizza and popcorn in the cinema room upstairs, under the watchful eye of a professional nanny. Whilst we cut our cake in the main part of the house, our wedding room was converted into a dance floor for our first dance. Every part of our special day was catered for. Debbie and David were fantastic. The attention to detail was fantastic. I could not recommend this place enough!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 out of 10!

We had our wedding at Kippilaw this July and it was so seamless and magical! We rented out the whole manor for the weekend and our guests felt like they had stepped into a fairytale. So many people have told us it was their favorite weekend ever. Lil and Doug have put so much love into Kippilaw to make it a spectacular venue inside and out. They were so flexible and let us get married under their magnificent Copper Beech tree. No one had ever done that before and it was divine. Our guests felt so at home and loved staying at Kippilaw and the staff went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible. All the food was DELICIOUS and exceeded my wildest expectations. That lemon meringue pie was the best I ever tasted! Working with Lil to create the wedding of my dreams was a joy and I had to plan the whole thing for 63 guests coming from the United States. She made everything run like clockwork and went to all lengths take care of our needs and vision. I would love to host another event at Kippilaw and would give this venue 10 stars if I could!
