Amazing Day

The staff at the Crown Hotel were soo good for my friends wedding last week!
From start to finish, all the details were absolutely perfect. Watching my best friend walk down the aisle, I couldn't have been happier if it was my own big day.
The food was superb and staff excellent along with it, Alison and her team were amazing.

Will definitely be coming back!!

Perfect day

Having postponed our wedding due to COVID, the team at the Crown were just amazing! Our guests were so impressed with this hidden gem of a venue, close to Carlisle but with INCREDIBLE gardens, we got married outside. It was so beautiful & the staff were brilliant, setting up our special day, food was faultless, sleek service & everything flowed perfectly. We went down to the riverside for photographs on the day and we are so happy with them.
The next morning, we met for a swim
In their new fitness centre, had drinks & lunch in Walton’s bar before travelling home. We cannot thank the team enough for everything they did to make our day so special. Thank you x

I could not ask for better!

Lianne and Georgina were the best!
Everything went so smoothly and everyone was so helpful and professional.
The food was delicious, better than I could’ve dreamed!
It was a shame it rained but all the staff went on as if it was the sunniest day in July.

Service was impeccable. Me and the new hubby left with smiles on our faces.
Couldn’t ask for more

Loved Everything!

We loved loved loved everything, customer service was second to none, Wendy is the best wedding planner, food was out of this world, we had zero stress (which we asked you for & you delivered) and everything was all & more than we ever wished for. Cumbria's Best Kept Secret

My sister got married at this venue in December 2019, a Christmas wedding. It was truly the most perfect day from the moment we arrived until the team waved us goodbye the next day. The planning, the food, the decor, everything just went perfectly. The twinkling fairy lights in the conservatory & candle lit dinner was magical. Thank you to the team for everything, we have arranged a family party next Christmas!! xxx

Newly Refurbished

We had a wonderful wedding & have to thank you all so much for everything. We love the newly refurbished leisure club & suites are absolutely incredible. Cannot wait to return for our anniversary (or even before then!! :)) x

Wedding made easy

Finally arrived back home after 4 days at The Crown where we had our wedding reception. After a last minute disaster with the last venue, The Crown was recommended to us by our photographer. Wendy the coordinator and the General Manager Janneman stepped up to the mark in every aspect and were constantly on hand to check arrangements were all running as planned. There was nothing typical about our wedding, totally bespoke for us, and nothing that Wendy couldn't arrange. Every one of the staff for the entire staff were helpful to a fault and courteous from dawn till dusk and way beyond. We are already making arrangements for our anniversary return with our close family. A bespoke evening meal for 20 people, 7 courses of food and drink specifically created for each individual person. For those of you wanting the full weddings package or just the after party, we highly recommend going and seeing whats on offers, and let someone else take on the stress of your special day. To Janneman, once again, from Lucy and I, your staff were a credit to you, please thank them all, and thank you for making our day everything it was supposed to be.

wedding at the crown

I was invited to a wedding here and thoroughly enjoyed the wedding itself as the staff had everything sorted, they were there but were unobtrusive. The hotel itself is a beautiful venue with everything in one place and a well maintained and pretty garden area which we used for the photos. Hotel room was itself was nice and comfy and breakfast was really nice as well with plenty of options. The staff were also genuinely helpful when asked anything which is unusual these days so I was impressed with the whole place.

Nothing was too much trouble......Excellent!

Just a note to thank all of your staff for the excellent service you all provided for our daughters wedding. Even from the first enquiry before booking right through to the day itself, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The meal and the evening buffet were both excellent. All of this contributed to make it a day we will remember and treasure forever. Thank you so much.
