At Darkhorse, our main daily business is a restaurant and bar. We have been open for 9+ years and have created a relaxed, inviting space where guests can enjoy a seasonal menu based on regional Italian foods and styles. We pride ourselves on having created a loyal local following over time and are valued for our consistency, high quality, and hospitality.
Our unpretentious atmosphere encourages leisurely dining, whether you're joining us for events, meetings with colleagues, or a social occasion with friends and family.

We offer private and group-hire facilities and catering for all types of events. For weddings, we have availability seven days a week and some seating variations for a sit-down reception.

In our room, we can offer a sit-down meal for 8 to 60 guests.
Or, if you were considering a standing reception, drinks party, or canapes-style event, our space can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Pricing is generally on a minimum-spend basis and considers time, date, group booking, and private hire. Please contact us for an accurate quote.
We can tailor and personalise menus with a starting point for our party set menus and can cater to most dietary requirements.

With our curated wine list, we have ensured it is accessible, excellent value, and represents some of the best examples of differing regions and a country's production. Cocktails can also be offered, and special creations can be devised.

We feature a PA system suitable for background music and the use of a microphone for speeches.

Cakes can be organised by us on request via an excellent, reputable, and professional local baker or separately by the customer. We accept the set-up of a DJ and can accommodate a dance area for later in the event if desired. We are licenced to 11.45 pm; however, late TEN licencing can also be applied for.

We have accessible facilities. We also have baby changing and children's high chairs.

Our location is within the East Village development—the former 2012 Athletes village in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. We overlook Victory Park and a pedestrian plaza. In the warmer months, we have an outdoor terrace area for exclusive use by guests.

Transport links are very good. It is a 15-minute walk to Stratford Station or equally a 5-minute walk to Stratford International Station. We are on a private estate, and there is paid car parking adjacent to us and for taxi drop-off.

Paid parking is also available at Westfield shopping centre, a 10-minute walk, or Stratford International multi-story car park, a 10-minute walk.
