Latimer House provided the perfect location for our civil ceremony - the Cheyne room was a gorgeous setting for both the ceremony and the dinner with a beautiful backdrop over the Chess Valley, and the library provided a cosy yet classy space to drink champagne and enjoy the moment with family. The backdrop of the impressive manor house, carriage driveway and valley have made for fantastic photos. Our overnight stay in the Junior Suite was included; the room was spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable with a nice view. All the staff were very attentive throughout our time there and we felt well-looked after. Everything went smoothly with not a thing out of place. Thank you also to the wedding team in the months leading up to the day, they made it easy and stress-free to plan the details. Thank you for making our day special, we have enjoyed the many compliments from our families who joined us - we will be back!

My (now) wife and I got married here in August 2023. The staff were nothing short of superb — Jess was phenomenal during the planning and was always on hand to answer any queries we had. Petkov was incredible during the day, helping things run as smoothly as possible, and the chef... just wow.

When people come up to you days after and talk about how unexpectedly good the food was, when they were already expecting quality from foodies like us, it is testament to the chef’s abilities. He was also incredibly accommodating when a guest was waylaid, changing plans last-minute to ensure everyone was happy and fed.

The grounds were utterly spectacular — not even the rain could put a dampener on the day, and there is plenty to see indoors too, from placards on the local history (very interesting for history buffs) to a mini library with a bar (great for fellow bibliophiles).

As for the rooms themselves? Absolutely top-tier — especially in the mansion house. The beds were fantastic, the amenities were on point and we simply cannot recommend De Vere Latimer estate enough.

10/10, would strongly recommend.

The biggest thank you to Jess and Abby - a coordination team of dreams!! Nothing was out of question for them and between them they planned and executed the wedding day of our dreams! The chefs, waiting staff, reception team and bar staff were also perfect on the day. We truly can't thank you all enough! Highly recommend Latimer Estate - plenty of accommodation, absolutely stunning grounds and the friendliest staff!

My wife and I had a wedding at the venue. We stayed the night before and on the day of the wedding with our family and friends. The wedding was perfect, from the perspective of the bride and groom, we did not have to contact the staff once and were left to enjoy the day. The staff we incredibly polite, efficient and accommodating to any requests, I cannot be thankful enough for how much they contributed to making our wedding day perfect!

We got married at Latimer in February 2023, after I proposed to my husband there in June 2021 (thinking we'd never be able to get married there, so at least I'd propose there). It was an absolutely wonderful day! The staff did an amazing job checking in with us throughout, with Abbie the coordinator on the day making sure everything was running smoothly. Jessica, our coordinator in the run up to the day, was amazingly organised and did a great job taking over from a previous coordinator whose approach had been much less attentive and well prepared. That didn't seem to phase her at all and she made us feel very well cared for after that experience.

It was wonderful to be able to include our dog Pumpkin in our special day, and having our entire day happening in one place definitely reduced the stress levels. It was great not to have any time lost to travel between different venues during the day. Our guests really appreciated being able to stay the night in the same venue and loved that they could pop back to their room at any time during the day. Having our use of a private bar meant we felt our wedding was private, but guests were also able to spill out into the library and public areas, so older guests could enjoy some quiet as the evening rolled on.

There were a few tiny niggles including difficulties with guests booking the contracted rooms using their own payment details, and our original coordinator didn't fill us with confidence. However once Jessica took over our account we felt like we were in great hands, and Abbie did a wonderful job bringing it all together on the day.

We'd really recommend this beautiful venue!

So many things wrong..got my sash colour wrong, overcharged people for their room, housekeeping in the garden was very poor, pizza not done in pizza oven in garden as promised. Moving stuff out of bride’s room without telling her.

We are still on such a natural high from the perfect day!

The venue is truly amazing! We had a small intimate wedding with just 32 including ourselves and the room worked perfectly creating a relaxed day which everyone loved and commented as much.

Our photographer Karolina was inspired by the most beautiful setting she even stayed longer to capture the essence of the surroundings.

We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at De Vere Latimer estate in June 2024.

We had Jess as our events manager and she made all the planning so simple and easy. We got to catch up with her before the wedding at different points to make sure we were all on schedule and to answer all our questions.

On the day before the wedding and on the day itself it was wonderful to have Jess around as she offered all the last min support we needed and put us at ease.

We had the wonderful Karina running the day, keeping across the set up, suppliers and guests’ needs. She made sure everything flowed smoothly and she would handle any requests we had straight away.
She is a massive asset to the venue and anybody getting married will be lucky to have her run the day!

The food was delicious and even ticked all the boxes for our most picky eaters.
Lots of the guests commented that this was the best wedding food they have ever had!

The venue both inside and outside created amazing opportunities for our photographer to take beautiful shots.

I cannot thank the whole team enough for making it the most memorable day of our lives.

Our whole experience from start to finish was amazing. The support and guidance we received from Jessica, from the first visit to after the wedding, was amazing. She was extremely helpful and informative. She made the experience super easy and it took all the stress away from us! On the wedding day, Karina was superb. She helped make the day go smoothly without any hiccups. The whole team and all the staff we encountered were fantastic and super professional. Our vision was created perfectly and nothing was too much or an issue. The food was great and the stay was an excellent way to end our wedding. Couldn't recommend enough.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Latimer house and it was the most amazing day ever. Jess is the most wonderful wedding coordinator.she will prompt you for information but not hassle you. I enjoyed planning the reception with her. Jess and Karina together ensured that our wedding day was perfect and exactly as we wanted it. All our guests had a spectacular time and raved about the venue! Cannot highly recommend enough!

DeVere Latimer Estate was the perfect venue to host our Christmas themed wedding.

We had actually chosen another venue but went to see DeVere Latimer out of curiosity and instantly knew it would be perfect and booked it the next day. We viewed the venue on a hot day which looked stunning, although it was actually snowing on our wedding day and it could not have looked more picture perfect.

Firstly the wedding venue... jaw dropping stunning! The drive up to the venue is so picturesque, through some country and forest lanes, arriving at the hotels long grand drive entrance, leading to the most beautiful mansion, flanked by picture perfect views of the countryside. No picture can do it justice, you have to see it in person. Our wedding was held in the mansion house which is gorgeous, from the opulent entrance, grand staircase and stunning decor that leads to the canopy, bar and reception rooms. From there you also have private views and access to the stunning garden and countryside hills. Both bar area and reception room were perfect where you can customise is down to every detail per your taste and budget. We had very specific request due to it being a Christmas themed wedding and the Wedding Team surpassed our expectations in every way.

Secondly the wedding planning team, as perfect at the venue itself. Due to a change in venue we had to plan our wedding in 2.5 months. The team could not have made this easier and less stressful for us. They recommended suppliers were brilliant, where you can pick and choose what you want or, what we did, do a mix and match of their and your won suppliers. They were so accommodating at every step of the journey, really listening to what we wanted and bending over backwards to make it happen. Not one member was pushy and we felt really valued. Where other venues had a red line of what they were willing to do, no request at Latimer was too big or too small - they genuinely cared about making our day perfect and not about what cost or commission they were receiving. This carried onto the wedding day where the whole team (led by Lloyd) were so calm, respectful and helpful, going above and beyond to make us and all our guests happy.

Finally the food. I must admit when we saw the menu options on paper we were a little underwhelmed being of Indian background. We needed have worried as when we went for the taste tasting, the food blew us away. We then met the Chef (Partha) and he even did some tweaks to the menu to give it our own flare. Our guests raved about it all, including some food bloggers and foodies who came. They were such talented chefs!

The above barely scratches the surface why Latimer and the Wedding team made our wedding journey perfect, so we have nothing but wonderful things to say with absolutely no negatives. All our guests still talk about our wedding weekend and how stunning it all looked, how much fun they had and how all the touches, big and small, made it equally grand but personal.

We asked a lot of questions but nothing was ever too much trouble for her. We built a fantastic rapport with her and just wanted to take time to say thank you. Lloyd was the main man leading our big day and he ensured the day ran so smoothly. He even came up to us after our church ceremony with a glass of champagne.. it’s all the little touches that just made our day. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and the food was incredible (and we love our food)! Anyone thinking of having your big day here, do not hesitate! We look back and the only sad thing is that we can’t just relive it all over again!!! Thanks so much guys, it’s a day we will cherish forever and will never forget.

We had our wedding here at the De Vere and just one word can be used to describe the whole thing from start to finish. That word is AMAZING! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the grounds, décor and rooms are beautiful. All the staff at the De Vere are just fabulous, they couldn't do enough for us, our family and friends. The food is delicious and award worthy and that was one of the things all our guests commented on the most was the food! The events team, Jess, Lloyd and everyone else were just a dream. From day one where we pulled up to this beautiful manor house and met Jess for the first time to checkout the day after the wedding, they were just amazing. Any question we had was answered, they went over and above to give us the fairy-tale wedding we envisioned and it really was like something out of a dream. Thank you all so much for the most wonderful weekend that we will cherish forever. We will be back to stay so we can relive just a little bit of our day by being there. Where do i eve start! We had our wedding De Vere Latimer Estate a week or so ago! We had the most amazing day as did all our guests and everyone can't stop talking about it. From the moment we saw the venue we knew it was our wedding venue and a place that would be always be so special for us. The sheer number of rooms available for guests also made it a whole weekend event and everyone got to fully relax and enjoy the big day. Now as for the team where does it end Jess and Abby were fantastic from the very beginning, emails always responded to so quickly every question answered no issues and they make you honestly feel like your wedding is the only one of the season! On the day everything went fabulously and we couldn't fault any of Jess or Abby hard work in our planning. Thank you personally to you both for a magical wedding day! (We will be back very soon for a stay) As for the hotel its self the staff can't do enough for you and we was made to feel so welcome, all the staff chatting, joking to our guests throughout the weekend and very grateful thank you to Laura, Daisy, Cristian and Josephine who we kept very busy at the bar all weekend! You was amazing and our weekend wouldn't have been the same without you all! Last but not least a thanks to Jane M who made all our bedroom requirements happen with no issues at all, we shared many calls and laughs along the way and everything was truly perfect! We got married at De Vere Latimer Estate on 14th April and are so incredibly happy that we found this venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and set in a beautiful location in the countryside. Our whole wedding planning journey was made so easy by Jessica who was always on hand to answer any questions and help us with anything we were unsure of. During our planning meetings, she was so kind, so helpful and very professional. We met our event coordinator Abby the day before our wedding and she was just as kind and helpful. We were unable to meet her prior to this as we had other commitments so were a bit worried but she eased us with her bubbliness and professionalism. She ensured our day ran smoothly and perfectly and you can tell just how much they both love to make people's wedding dreams come true. We would recommend anyone to have their special day here, we just wish we could do ours all over again!
