We were so incredibly lucky to spend our wedding day at The Great Barn this last November, 2024. Emma, John and the rest of the team were so professional and their efforts to give us the most special time was unmatched. We stayed on site for the whole weekend and felt like we had the royal treatment. The chef on site produced the most delicious food and as a chef myself I was honestly thrilled with the quality, portions, plating and flavour - so delicious. The wine selection from their supplier was extensive and fantastic - we had a truly indulgent and fabulous time. If you want to have an unforgettable, special, effortless, amazing and luxurious wedding - then book yours at The Great Barn. You won’t want to leave!

We had the most amazing wedding at HARTA Retreat and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. We went to the venue for the first time over two years ago and have been in love since - it's totally gorgeous and set in a beautiful area. The lake is particularly stunning, but the whole grounds are perfect and well-maintained. The small tent (the nimbus) was the perfect location for our handfasting ceremony, and the area surrounding could not have been better for a relaxed reception. In terms of wedding photos and guest needs, we couldn't have picked a better location! Aaron and Miranda are the loveliest and most helpful people ever. Right from the start they have been accommodating and understanding, have helped us every step of the way (from trying out table layouts with us to 'helping' us try different Proseccos!) but have also been very good at letting us plough ahead with some of our madder plans. On the day, they were unbelievably good at being around to assist and run the behind-the-scenes stuff smoothly while artfully dodging the spotlight. We know just how much they were managing at one time, and it was impressive! They were incredibly kind to us when we were stressed, both before and after. The tipis were super comfortable and luxurious - my Grandma who was quite nervous about staying in a tent ended up having a lovely time. We got a lot of use from the massive bath and the coffee maker. There was enough accommodation to host most of our families onsite, which was a huge bonus for us. The main event tipi was unbelievably gorgeous. Everyone who entered was shocked! It was perfect for hosting the meal, and then flexible enough to host a very clumsy ceilidh afterwards. It gave very strong fairytale/fantasy vibes, and our pictures have turned out so beautifully. We couldn't be more pleased with our whole experience.

The barn itself is amazing but the fact you get Joss and the team as well just make this place the best!! Being a little Ott when it comes to being organised I was a little worried when it came to planning but I’ve definitely met my match with Joss, there is nothing she doesn’t know or can’t help with from the second we viewed the barn nothing was too much trouble! The team on the day were all amazing. We always knew we wanted a relaxed day and that’s is 100% what we got. We couldn’t have wished for a better venue!! Thank you Joss and team 💕

My partner and I got married at Dartmoor Zoo in July 2024. We had a fairly intimate wedding with 28 people, so used the ceremony room in Goodamoor House and the Jaguar Suite for our reception. From our first visit and throughout the entire planning process, Jade and Alyn were incredibly responsive and helpful. They answered every question we had and went above and beyond to help us plan out every detail of the day, and Alyn was there to help us set up the day before. They also packed up all our decor for us to pick up the next day, so we didn't have to worry about that during the wedding or enlist any of our guests to help out with packing up. The wedding day itself was magical - there were so many lovely outdoor photo ops, we had a great time meeting Dragan the tiger, and our guests loved being about to walk around and see the animals during ‘down time’ between photos and food. The wedding breakfast was absolutely delish (with the menu customized exactly how we wanted it). Plus, we loved that the money we spent on the wedding went straight into helping the animals. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful setting for our wedding. We felt like we were in a bubble a million miles away from reality. Upon arrival on the Friday, we were welcomed with smiles and warmth by Louise and Andy. The two accommodation barns were absolutely immaculate – not one of our 18 guests could fault the rooms. The kitchens are well stocked with appliances and everything you need for your stay. The large dining table made it such a social space, which we got to enjoy with our friends and family. We chose to have an intimate wedding of only 20 guests to the day, and Rumleigh Farm is the perfect setting for a romantic and peaceful ceremony. The picturesque views of rolling country side, farm animals and a beautiful river made for an incredible backdrop for our photos. The barn transformed from a beautiful setting to dine in, into the perfect festival venue for our evening where we had 50 more guests arrive. We had live music from an amazing Elvis impersonator (JD King) as well as the brilliant The Horizons… we danced and sang until the early hours. Our guests could camp very comfortably in the field which is only a short walk away from the main venue, and allowed them to wake up to the most scenic views. On the Sunday we enjoyed a bbq on site with our 20 guests. It was such a delight not to have to rush off and gave us all the time to reminisce over the wedding day. Louise and Andy went above and beyond to ensure that the day was exactly what we had dreamed of. The littlest details were considered and executed perfectly. It really is the most hidden, incredible venue and will make your special day the best it can be. We had the best few days celebrating and we are so, so glad we chose Rumleigh Farm. PS. Can we have a year anniversary party…every year for the next 70 years…?

We cannot thank you engough!!! From the moment of making our first enquiry with Tracey, being shown around and answering our questions, booking our wedding, and throughout our stay it’s been amazing from start to finish... The venue is amazing with stunning views across the rolling Devon hills, the fantastic on site accommodation and what can we say about the purpose built new barn, but wow, this needs to be seen to be beleived!!! We have had so many lovely comments from our family and guest who stayed and joined us for our wedding day, about Country Ways and the whole team. The country ways family and team go way above and beyond to help in every way possible, They seem to maigically make the whole process and day so stress free, How they do it, we are unsure, they make it look so effortless. As a previous reveiwer said, Tracey was like a little fairy god mother, and we could not agree more.... she is amazing and should be so proud of what she and the family have created.. There was not one thing we would change and if we could do it all again, we would ! Thank you so much for making our day so special!! Helen & Jon x

We had an amazing time at Hawke Barn venue for our wedding. The rustic setting was perfect, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and made sure all the details were handled. It was exactly the laid-back, cozy atmosphere we were looking for. Highly recommend for a relaxed and beautiful wedding day!

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful Pier One was for our wedding in June 2024. From the very first enquiry, to saying farewell at the end of our wedding, it was absolutely perfect. Monika, the most amazing events coordinator, was incredible. Nothing was too much bother. She was really personable, warm and professional whilst feeling like a friend. She made the whole process really easy and offered suggestions when I was struggling to make decisions. I cannot thank her enough personally as she was a key factor in actually deciding to book Pier One. The venue is perfect. We had 38 guests plus ourselves as the married couple, so 40 in total, for our afternoon wedding (11am to 4pm). I would say that was the perfect number of people. The views and atmosphere was stunning. It was everything I'd ever dreamed of. The wedding breakfast (we added on canapes and an extra course) was exceptional. The quality of the food and the portion sizes meant that everyone was completely satisfied with their meals. The staff were exceptional and having Monika there on the day made it all the more perfect and ran very smoothly. Even when I forgot to say that some of the guests would need highchairs and needed a few chairs replaced for the wedding breakfast, it was done without fuss and efficiently. I cannot rate Pier One and all of the staff (especially Monika) more highly. Thank you for giving us the most perfect day. We have memories that we'll treasure for a lifetime.

After sacking off all the stress & hassle of planning a big wedding we decided to book a secret elopement, just the two of us… and it couldn’t have gone any better! Little Silver Weddings is truly something special. From our first planning zoom call to the day we drove home as Mr & Mrs, Lisa & Peter were AMAZING! As someone who stresses & overthinks EVERYTHING, I can honestly say I have never had such a relaxed and happy day! Lisa is so warm and her wedding planning skills are wizardry! She really did think of everything! They have assembled the best team of local suppliers, who managed to create our dream day in just over 3 months!! Stunning flowers, delicious vintage style wedding cake (my dream!) and the most amazing evening meal - all enjoyed in the most gorgeous of locations! Not to mention the best photographer on the planet, who made the whole wedding photos experience so relaxed and fun. As an autumn wedding I was a little concerned for the weather but it held & we were able to be married outside in the Victorian Grotto, overlooking the Taw valley. Such a magical place to say ‘I do’. Another brilliant aspect of Little Silver was the built in mini-moon, meaning we could really relax and enjoy our first few days as a married couple. We chose to stay in one of the shepherds huts, which were warm, clean & beautifully curated - definitely a touch above glamping! We especially enjoyed having a glass of champagne in our hot tub. So if you are thinking of eloping then absolutely give Little Silver Weddings a call - you will not be disappointed!
