Wedding Reception August 2024

We had our wedding reception here in August. The decor of the venue was just beautiful and the service we received from Gina and Gee was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and they took away all the stress to ensure our day ran perfectly. The food was also amazing and all of our guests are still talking about this and how fantastic our reception was.

Romantic atmosphere

5⭐️ myself and my new husband got married here last weekend. From the first time we walked in to the time we collected all our wedding bits was amazing. The staff were incredible especially the wedding coordinates Georgina and Gee and Chelsea. They did everything possible to make sure our wedding ran without a hitch from making sure everything was set up and our belongings where put in the honeymoon sweet to making sure everything ran on schedule. We were kept informed throughout the year and a half of planning and the day of the wedding we were disturbed and they spoke to the wedding party instead. We would 100% recommend this venue to anyone thinking of getting married.

Amazing

We had our wedding over 2 days here. The wedding planer Jake was amazing, he couldn't do anymore for us. Always there when needed. The hotel was just so right and such a lovely place to have your wedding, just wish I could do it all over again! All our guest remarked how lovely the hotel and staff were

Our Wedding

We had our wedding last weekend here and cannot thank all staff involved especially Jake nothing was ever too much trouble sorted everything exactly how I wanted it! Everyone that attended our wedding complimented the room we were in and the food everything was delicious and exactly how we wanted!
I don’t have enough words to say how thankful we are to everyone involved in making our wedding happen it truly was an amazing day thank you doubltree!!

Lovely Wedding

We had our wedding at the hotel and we would like to thank Jake, Maciej, Merrick, Richard and all the other staff for their exceptional service in making our day so special. The food was fantastic. There were always staff around who were all very willing to assist us with anything we needed. We and our guests had a wonderful time. Thank you so much

Wedding 12.08.2019

To the team at doubletree,
We had our wedding at your venue and all I can say over and over is THANKYOU!!!
Myself and my husband as soooooo grateful our day was much more special then we imagined.
This is mainly down to Jake our coordinator who managed to not only help plan but deal with the groomzilla sooo brilliantly!
Not forgetting Marcus our go to guy for the day! Nothing was too much trouble, he was there at the times we needed him before we even knew we did.
Both Jake and Marcus were professional but more importantly to us friendly! We couldn’t of ask for better!
Enough of singing there praises a massive thankyou to everyone behind the scenes we know there was lots of people helping and involved and without them our day would have been much different.
The food for our sit down meal was lovely and all the guest commented on how after such a nice meal the standards were then raised by a fantastic hot and cold buffet for the evening reception.
The hotel itself was clean and tidy, spacious and relaxed. The grounds for our wedding photos were beautifully maintained and we had lots of places to get some fantastic shots.
Check in and check out was mainly smooth and pleasant and the desk staff were polite and helpful.

Now for all the good bits to finish.

The only reason i cannot give a full top mark rating is because I found the beds to be too firm and a few of my guest also felt the same but luckily groomzilla loves a firm mattress and slept soundly.

Again a huge thank you too you all!

Would definitely recommend as the perfect wedding venue

Wedding 17th August

Wow don’t know where to start me & my now husband can not thank the staff here enough any question was answered nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff
A special thanks needs to go to Jake who helped us plan our wedding day from lots of meetings to make sure he knew what we wanted to answering all my emails promptly nothing was to much trouble for him he completely took the stress out of planning our special day he was even there most of our wedding day making sure everything was perfect he is just amazing & a credit to the hotel
Also a special thank you to Marcus who ran the day of our wedding he was amazing Accommodating all our special requests ensuring the day ran smoothly making sure we checked everything over before our guests saw the room
(even making sure I had a drink to calm my nerves)
All the hotel staff made sure the day went smoothly
The food was lovely
The bridal suite was lovely
Our wedding day was all that we wanted & more

Wedding 22.06.2019

Wow what can I say we had our wedding here on Saturday 22/06/19 and it was everything I had hoped for, from the very start Jake Bowerman (wedding co-ordinator) was so professional so kind, so caring and made it stress free, he alleviated any concerns and made everything run smoothly. His communication skills were fantastic throughout the whole experience, and to see him on the actual day I knew everything would go to plan. Thank you so much Jake and the Hilton hotel for making my wedding the best I could imagine it to be, we had such an amazing day and wish we could do it all again with you.

Our Wedding Day

Well, what can we say about this amazing venue!
It was perfect in every way, the location was wonderful and the staff couldn’t do enough for us on the day.
The day went without a hitch and was in no small part due to Jake Bowerman, our wedding planner. He planned everything to the minutest detail and told us everything about what would happen on the day.
He put us both at our ease on the day. We both enjoyed our day enormously.

Waters Wedding 2019

We had the most amazing wedding at the doubletree, it was the most fantastic day with friends and family. Jake (our wedding co-ordinator) was fantastic from start to finish, he couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and supportive. I would highly recommend using Jake as he literally made sure everything was fantastic and left me with no stress or worry for our big day. He is also extremely personable, easy to get along with and extremely accommodating, thank you Jake! Marcus who led the festivities was amazing, so attentive and reassuring, all our guest commented about how smoothly things were run so thank you Marcus! The hotel and people that ensured it took place were amazingly professional and friendly. Our magical day was made possible with the help of these people and I can not recommend enough. The rooms and house keeping were to a very high standard and all guest were impressed with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Thank you for making sure our day was everything we wished for.

Our Wonderful Wedding

We had our wedding at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel in Southampton in July 2019 and it was perfect. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding planner, Jake, worked with us in the months leading up to the wedding and was so kind and creative. We had a Disney themed wedding and he was brilliant at coming up with fun ideas to add even more Disney magic to our day. He was endlessly enthusiastic and was completely committed to making our day perfect and utterly personal to us. And he was so lovely to work with. We really liked him the second we met him.
On the morning of the wedding, Jake got in really early and made sure the room looked perfect for us. From blowing up balloons to retying all our chair sashes to make them look like Minnie Mouse bows, nothing was too much trouble.
They all worked so hard to make our day perfect and we can't praise them enough.
The hotel was a lovely setting and the ceremony and reception room looked beautiful. There's really pretty woodland around the hotel that looks stunning in the photos and the fairy lights in the ceremony room looked magical.
The food was fantastic and looked really well presented. Better still, it tasted incredible and the portion sizes were really generous, both for the main meal and the evening buffet. We had a few guests with very specific dietary requirements and they were really accommodating and made sure everyone got exactly what food they could eat so we didn't need to worry.
We were given the bridal suite for the night and the room was lovely.
Our wedding package was fantastic value for money too. I can't recommend the DoubleTree Hilton hotel in Southampton enough.

Wedding Event

We want to say a huge thankyou to all the staff for making our wedding day so memorable. In particular Jake Bowerman our wedding coordinator, Master of Ceremonies Marcus, and the waiting staff.
The hotel was spotless, the food exceptional , we couldn't have asked for anything else!

Great Wedding Service

My husband and I just got married here and we had a brilliant time! Jake Bowerman (Wedding and Social Events Executive) who helped us plan is so lovely and incredibly helpful. He made sure we had a wonderful day and good stay. The only issue we had was the restaurant, we never got our dinner one night as we were waiting ages and the breakfast was a bit of a nightmare. However Jake did what he could to make up the dinner issue and breakfast was just too many people so not necessarily the hotels fault. Overall I was happy with our experience though mainly due to Jake's assistance.

Our Wedding Venue

This hotel is very welcoming. Everything we could of imagined for our special day. Staff very attentive. The venue spacious and looked stunning.

Jake is a great wedding planner with a fab sense of humour putting us at ease on the big day. The team at the Hilton couldn't do enough for us. Very professional from start to finish Paul and Jake making sure the day ran smoothly. Bar staff chatty polite.

The Team Very understanding when I had sickness on the day. The staff went above and beyond dispite obstacles and offering dried toast. Dispite not feeling my best I still had the most amazing day. I would highly recommend this hotel. Beds comfy. Very spacious rooms clean. Communication was on point. Some of our guess thought it was the best Wedding they've ever been too
