Epic. Simply epic. We'd have given this venue and their staff 6 stars if we could.

I'm not big on leaving reviews, but needs must. 'On behalf of my wife and I...' we simply cannot say enough good things about Dundas Castle as our wedding venue, and just as importantly, the staff who made it all possible. From our initial visit, we were made to feel beyond welcome. We never felt pushed, persuaded, nor sold into anything - to be fair, the place sells itself.

The Castle/House/Pavilion (nb. you get all 3 for your wedding) are all very well looked after and there's a feeling of relaxed opulence throughout the place. It's all relative of course, but we didn't feel like we went too crazy with flowers and decor and the place still sang in every respect. We had guests form all four corners of the globe and they were all pretty gobsmacked as well. The grandeur, the space, the grounds, the feeling you get just walking around, it really is like a dream. They even have baby lamas!!!

During the planning phase of our wedding, we really started to appreciate how lucky we were with the staff. We planned our wedding from California but despite the tricky time difference, the Dundas Castle staff were an absolute joy to deal with. We were concerned that we did not have a separate wedding planner, but we really did not need one as the staff are all over everything. No stone left unturned, devilishly concerned about the details, everything was covered.

Onto the big day, or more like 'days'... We arrived with a ton of wedding 'stuff' which was all taken off us and whisked away to our room or pavilion and we were made to feel right at home. (For context, we treated ourselves to a mini-moon at Gleneagles afterwards and it's the same sort of service, ie. exceptional.) The rooms are all like something out of a Jane Austin novel, so our guests who were staying in the House were all over the moon. We hired an epic local company (King Axe Throwing) to put on a Highland Games with axe throwing, and all the usual fun which worked perfectly well in the grounds. We brought in 'Oink' to do a hog roast, which also worked perfectly. All of the above was handled with zero fuss by the Dundas staff and they are basically open to any good ideas you have.

Our wedding day was just one big floaty dream so it's hard to nail down specifics but I did appreciate was the new staff who we hadn't met yet and came in to support on the day. I referred to them as 'wedding ninjas' as they are dressed in black, very discreet, and only seem to appear when you needed them. Even the youngest of staff members were an absolute joy. They were all too happy to help with the smallest of requests, always super professional and always with a smile on their faces. I was really proud to see so many young folks with familiar accents absolutely thriving in their working environment.

In summary, we had the most blissful experience at Dundas Castle from start to finish, and we honestly can't fault the venue and staff at all. Hats off to them, and thank you for everything.

The team at Dundas Castle made us feel so welcome from the moment we went to view the venue to the day we left after our wedding. The whole weekend was perfect, the wedding team are incredible and our guests absolutely loved the look and feel of the Castle.

We got married at Dundas in Aug'22 and it was a magical experience! From the moment we arrived at the venue, we knew it was truly a special location and we couldn't wait to get married there. The team at Dundas are true professionals, with incredible attention to detail who delivered a truly 5* experience from day 1. Everything was handled brilliantly on the day itself, giving us memories we will treasure forever. A huge shout out to Mahi, Louise and Katy!

My husband and I wed here in July of 2022 and it was the experience of a lifetime. Our guests are still talking about it. Everything from the castle grounds to the beautiful bedrooms, to the incredible staff made the weekend unforgettable. Mahi and Morvern were GREAT people to work with and made the whole planning experience seamless. Highly highly recommend this venue if you are exploring others in the area - it is the best by FAR!

My only caveat - if you are getting married here, please be wary of the catering company 'Heritage Portfolio'. Their food is incredible, but their execution on the day of the wedding was a complete failure followed by their staff (not Dundas') being less than attentive to the situation. Not a reason not to book this venue, but make sure you speak to the manager Adam (something I did not do) and confirm timings and meals ahead of time.

On our Wedding Day itself the team were incredibly attentive which meant we did not have to worry about a single thing and allowed us to focus entirely on enjoying what was truly the perfect day. As soon as we drove up to Dundas, we knew it was the venue for us. The castle and grounds are just extraordinary, with stunning views in every direction. The interior has been maintained beautifully, so that it feels traditional but fresh at the same time.
The interaction with the team at Dundas was exemplary from the first time seeing the place, throughout the planning and particularly on the day itself - they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, at ease, and to handle all our needs. There are so many beautiful options of where to host your ceremony, and the suppliers on the recommended list were all fabulous at helping us put together our dream day.
We opted to have the venue the night before, and had the perfect time with our wedding party and immediate family, enjoying the wide range of facilities and relaxation areas. This also meant we could get ready on-site, which was so much fun and something out of a fairytale.
All our guests commented on how stunning the place is, and how helpful the staff were on the day.
We could not recommend Dundas highly enough - it is truly special, and we are so grateful for the support we received throughout the planning process and celebration itself.

My wife and I got married in Dundas Castle in June 2022. When we first went to visit Dundas, we fell in love with this stunning venue and knew we wanted our special day there. What made this a truly memorable experience for us was the in-house wedding coordinators. Suzi and Katy took our vision and made it so special, taking the stress away from us. I will never be able to properly articulate how amazing Dundas Castle and its staff is. My husband and I rented the castle for our 2 day wedding celebration this past May and it far exceeded expectations. Being from the USA, we had to make the difficult decision of picking a wedding venue based off of the pictures online. We both agreed Dundas was gorgeous in pictures and the fact that it is so close to the city and Edinburgh airport was a huge plus. It also slept all of our guests which was very important to us as we wanted to host our friends and family and make sure they were comfortable after flying overseas. When we arrived, I can say without hesitation that pictures do not do this place justice. Every single detail from the beautiful castle grounds to the immaculately decorated bedrooms was impeccable. Aside from that, the staff is top notch. Anything we or any of our guests needed, they made sure it was promptly taken care of. I personally worked closely with Louise, Katy and Jill and they were an absolute dream. Love them all so much!! If you are thinking about booking Dundas Castle for a wedding or event, don't hesitate!! Aside from saying "I DO", it was the best decision we made. Can't wait to rent out this very special place again some day!

From the moment we first visited Dundas Castle, we fell in love with it and knew we’d found our wedding venue! We may be biased but it is the most gorgeous venue we’ve been to in Scotland. It was exactly what we were looking for, a Scottish castle yet intimate with a lovely family feel. Nothing was too much trouble for Morvern and latterly, our wedding coordinator, Mahi. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, they were keen to share the load with us and help in any way they could. Mahi was with us the entire day and went above and beyond, keeping everything running to schedule and making sure everyone was catered for. We had the most fantastic day and all of our guests said it was a perfect venue with a lovely atmosphere. It will always be a very special place to us.

Had the most incredible wedding at Dundas Castle last week. Molly who was in charge of coordinating the day was absolutely amazing and the whole team were on top of everything which meant I could just sit back and enjoy the day knowing that everything was under control. Nothing was too much hassle and everything ran like clockwork. The venue is the most beautiful venue anyone could ask for, our guests were so impressed. The auld keep is beautiful for ceremonies and the whole castle has so much to offer such as photos on the roof overlooking the bridges! Hollie liaised with me throughout the run up to the wedding helping put the itinerary together and being in touch with all our suppliers. I cannot thank the whole Dundas team enough and just absolutely love the venue and what it has to offer. Can not recommend it highly enough.

We hired Dundas Castle for two nights for our wedding July 4-5, 2019. Hollie was excellent at the details and communication before the wedding. Genevieve and her team were top notch once we were at the castle! She made sure everything went smoothly and we cannot say enough good things about the amazing team and venue! Everything about Dundas is incredible. We got married on Hogmanay 2018 and it was such a special venue to hold our wedding at. We live abroad, so relied on my parents to visit it before paying our deposit and confirming our choice. Their reaction was so overwhelming we couldn't possibly have chosen anywhere else. We were a little apprehensive about not having seen it before we booked, but the excitement that all of our suppliers spoke about the castle with made us feel so much better, but certainly didn't prepare us for just how perfect it is.

It difficult to find the words to express our thanks to the staff at Dundas. So many of our guests commented on how amazing they were, which is not something people would normally comment on after a wedding, but is testament to the level of service offered to everyone who attended our wedding. Our suppliers, many of whom were working in the venue for the first time, also commented on how well organised everything was and how great the staff were. Hollie, who helped us plan the wedding, was so warm and helpful throughout all of our communications, and responded to every email and question with the help and support we needed for every part of the wedding. While Rose, who was our operations manager for the day, went above and beyond to make sure everything ran incredibly smoothly throughout the day and that we had a wedding that exceeded our expectations.

My husband Tom and I got married at Dundas Castle on September 22, 2018. From our very first visit to the castle through to the day itself, the service we received from the team was impeccable. Morvern and Hollie were always available when we had questions and ensured our family were able to visit the castle ahead of the day itself. They were incredibly organised and made everything so easy, we really felt taken care of throughout. On the day itself, Genevieve was our wedding coordinator and she was nothing short of outstanding! Everything ran like clockwork and nothing was too much trouble, which meant Tom and I could just relax and enjoy the day without having to worry about anything! For most elements of the wedding we used the recommended suppliers Dundas gave us, which meant they communicated with each other directly rather than through Tom and I. I also planned a surprise fireworks display as a wedding present to Tom and all the suppliers kept this a secret right to the last second which was great. Everything was so beautiful and seamless and I just wish we could get married there again!!

Also, if you're staying at the castle I would highly recommend the Boathouse to stay in - it's beautiful.

We had our fairy tale wedding at the Dundas castle on July 28th, 2018. Everything was just perfect. The ceremony was held in the Auld Keep, a 15th century tower that is full of rustic charm; the drinks reception was in the main house, which oozed old-world glamour and luxury; and the wedding breakfast was in the Pavilion that is spacious and airy. Food was absolutely delicious and staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. We hired all the rooms in the castle for family and guests to stay. Every one of them is so gorgeous and special. We couldn't ask for more for our wedding and all the guests kept telling us how "perfect" it was! Thank you Dundas! Special thanks to Fleur, who made the wedding day run seamlessly; Morvern, who helped us a great deal with the wedding preparation, and Laura from Sodexo, the catering provider, who was a dream to work with. We spent 2 amazing days & nights at Dundas for my son's wedding. I was responsible for the wedding eve celebration and I was very worried about trying to plan it from the US. Hollie assisted me every step of the way with the planning and Gen saw that every detail was carried out as planned. The evening was a huge success!! We entertained 55 people, most of whom travelled from the US. We enjoyed lawn games, a whisky tasting, dinner and a highland dance demonstration. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to see everyone having a great time and many of them not wanting to leave at the end of the evening. The wedding day was perfect - even the weather! The ceremony was in the Auld Keep followed by a drinks reception in the castle and dinner & dancing in the pavilion. So many of our guests told me that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended. I think everyone was glad that they made the trip. Dundas is truly beautiful and the staff is awesome. They are like "wedding ninjas" - practically invisible most of the time, but the second you need something, someone is right there. Thank you Dundas staff for your help and your patience. It couldn't have been better!
