The castle at Durham University can accommodate between 40 to 80 guests for daytime events and evening receptions. The Bishop’s Dining Room is suited to intimate occasions and micro weddings while The Grand Hall lends itself to wedding receptions for 80 close loved ones. On fine days, drinks parties are held in the centuries-old courtyard where guests can mingle and soak up the iconic view of the castle and keep. You can host a champagne toast in the Tunstall Gallery, a truly magnificent space characterised by wooden flooring, antiquated portraits, ambient lighting, and lavish furnishings. The standout space in this magnificent castle is The Great Hall, where guests are treated to an evening of fine dining and entertainment.
