We have struggled to write this review as everything about East Afton Farmhouse for our small wedding was so perfect we haven't yet been able to find the words; we think that speaks words in itself!
We chose East Afton for 3 reasons: we love the Isle of Wight, we wanted our wedding celebrations to last a few days and it had to be dog-friendly. East Afton ticked all the boxes and we knew it was the venue for us from the moment we arrived and met Chloe on a cold Autumn day. It didn't disappoint from that moment onwards.
The venue is idyllic with the gorgeous house, courtyard and barns, surrounded by fields.
Chloe, Mel and team were phenomenal. They have thought of everything and have perfected their small wedding package.
Chloe was on hand throughout the planning process and had a quick answer to every question or worry we had. We met Mel, our wedding co-ordinator, the day before our wedding. She knew exactly what we had discussed with Chloe and she helped us with our setup, including creating the most beautiful table layout. She went above and beyond on our wedding day and nothing was too much trouble for her. She worked so hard, but was always so relaxed, and nailed our ceremony music! Both Mel and Chloe put us at complete ease and we had absolute confidence that they would bring our wedding plans to life.
The food provided by Kev Hendy was delicious and the type of quality you'd expect from a michelin star restaurant! He was so accommodating in creating the bespoke menu that we wanted and which all our guests enjoyed.
East Afton offers amazing accommodation and nearly all our guests stayed on site. We made use of the facilities (including outdoor pizza oven, BBQ and gigantic well kitted out kitchen) both the day before and day after our wedding which was perfect to enable guests to get to know each other and then debrief after the big day. If we needed anything during our stay, Chloe/Mel were quick to assist and Chloe popped in to see us each day which was a lovely touch.
We think East Afton is amazing value for money, given the service and quality that is provided. It's such a perfect setting and offers everything you could possibly need, and more, for an incredible small wedding.

We had a brilliant stay and experience at East Afton Farm for our wedding.
Having the venue a few days before the wedding allowed us to be prepped and calm ahead of the big day.
There was lots of space in the house and the grounds. We had lots of good comments about how beautiful the venue was.
The team at East Afton were outstanding—they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Special thanks to Chloe who helped plan and organise details of the day and to Mel for making the day run smoothly, nothing was too much trouble and she was great fun to have around. They were always on hand to answer any questions or provide assistance.
The venue had everything we could have asked for, we did the full weekend package and really pleased we did as lots was included meaning organising ran smoothly.

The team at East Afton Farmhouse were helpful and friendly from the very start. We don't live on the island so we knew that organising a wedding would come with its challenges, but Chloe made everything as easy as possible - nothing was ever too much trouble. From recommendations of suppliers to transporting a fibreglass cow and generally helping with our many many questions. Their process of organising a wedding was supportive, efficient and facilitated creating a flawless day that us and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Their way of being organised meant that we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. Mel was our coordinator for the day and she listened to our vision and expectations and delivered everything and more and moreover with much laughter and smiles.

Other factors that made EAF a winning venue for us were:
- 4 day venue hire - because we were there, we ran a relaxed Sunday event, something which we couldn't have done at another venue
- accommodation on site
- an amazing chef, Kevin, affiliated with the venue
- no corkage fees
- strong and longstanding relationships with most island suppliers meaning that the venue coordinated with them around the wedding instead of us having to organise.
- ferry discount for people staying at EAF and Tapnell Farm
- multiple different spaces on the site, allowing you to make the day what you want.
- beautiful surroundings and close to practically everything (beach, churches, shops, food, ferry port etc.)

Our wedding weekend was so special and we feel so lucky to have found East Afton Farmhouse. We wouldn't change a thing and can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks again to Chloe, Mel and the team!

As soon as we visited East Afton on an open day, we fell in love with it and knew we wanted to get married there. The venue is just so beautiful and the prospect of having it all to ourselves for 4 nights was just unbelievable!

From the off and throughout the whole process of organising our big day, Chloe and her team were so efficient and catered to all of our needs, also providing advice and guidance when needed. We didn't feel stressed or anxious in the slightest in the build-up to the day itself, as we knew everything had been organised so beautifully.

We were made to feel so welcome in the venue when we arrived and were able to make the most of the weekend, having a BBQ on the afternoon before the wedding. We really felt at home. The wedding day itself couldn't have gone any better. Chloe, Mel and the team were just fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They were all so helpful, Mel even took our one-year-old daughter off for a nap before the ceremony! Kev and his catering team produced the most incredible food too. They all went above and beyond to make the day perfect for us and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you all so, so much for everything!!

East Afton Farmhouse was the perfect setting for our wedding and Chloe and Mel took the stress out of everything. From first looking round the venue to the check in the day after, Chloe and Mel made sure that everything was perfect. No job was too big or small for them and our wedding was absolutely amazing. We can’t recommend East Afton enough! Thank you so much Chloe, Mel and team!

Myself and my now husband spent many months looking for the perfect venue for the big day. We live in spain so we were worried about how to undertake the task of organising a wedding and many people travelling from spain and other locations whilst living away as well as trying to be as economic as we could not to "waste" money. We found afton; it had everthing perfect for us. Indoor areas in case of rain we were very worried for the rain given the time of year. Different locations to hold different parts of the wedding to break up the day so you are not stuck in the one area. A old barn for a beautiful ceremony, a garden space out of the front of the house where picture can be taken in the garden which are very well maintained. Then there is another barn which we used ofr welcome drinks and nibbles as well as the childrens play area whre we hired a bouncy castle. Yes! its large enough for a bouncy castle INSIDE!! Then there is a very large barn perfect for both the wedding breakfast and the party afterwards. On top we needed to house our guests between the house located with the converted barns and the other accomodate on offer at tapnell there was more than enough space to cater for all our guest, the few that did not book quick enough were also easily accomadated in freshwater and yarmouth we a 2 min taxi ride it was no issue of anyone. the house is warm and cosy with plenty of space for all. the house is also perfectly located close to yarmonth ferry making it easy for usto organise guest transport and give directions. But without a shadow of doubt the wedding still would not be as perfect as it was without the exceptional service provided by the Afton team. I must mention specifically Chloe and Mel. Without this partnership it would have been far more stressful and not turn out so perfect. Chloe was on hand always to change and alter thing along the way. Give advice and contact different suppliers to ensure they were read to go on time. they even made us a walk through of the day with timing so we knew whn things would happen. The requests and queries were answered extremel quickly and dealt with just as fast. Mel was the day coordinator, she made sure that ll details were covered, animated the people and was generally perfect ot make sure the day went smoothly. The policy of being able to provide our own drinks but still have Afton reserves available in case we ran out worked perfectly to ensure we always had a supply of drinks with our favority preferred drinks. Even allowing us to bring touches from spain such as ham and picos, and learning to make specific cocktail type drinks!! on top, we ran out of platters and other small items and the were inventive to ensure we had something to use. i cannot thank afton farm house and the team for ensuring our day went soo well as well as the stay befor and after, even flexible with timings of check in and out.

My partners and I’s wedding here was fantastic, we couldn’t have been happier. The venue is gorgeous and had so many people comment about it. But the staff were even better, Chloe was always available on emails and answered very promptly, no question too small or stupid. And Mel on the day was amazing, didn’t know of any problems until after she sorted them, made the day run like clock work.

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue or a greater team.

We felt assured we were in good hands in the lead up and we had the most amazing day, it was perfect. Many guests also commented on how well organised everything was and how Mel was the perfect coordinator also putting us at ease on the day with a touch of welcomed humour. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, you won’t be disappointed. The venue itself is beautiful and the farmhouse was brilliant to stay in for the long weekend, we loved that our dogs could be a part of the weekend as well. We wish we could do it all again.

We had our wedding at East Afton in July 2021 - it was a difficult build-up with Covid-19 still causing limitations, but the venue were incredibly flexible, accommodating and helped us to coordinate our dream wedding day. It is a really magical venue and I'd highly recommend it!

From the first conversation to the day Chloe and the team were professional and accommodating, my husband is from the island and this venue held significant importance to us, now being mainlanders getting over to see the venue and communicating plans wasn't easy for us, Chloe made sure that all correspondence was full & with as much information as possible.
The venue itself was perfect, we used the small inside barn and after they had decorated with our settings it was like a fairy-tale... The food was to die for, and the staff so pleasant and we tried to make everyone part of our special day.

We stayed for the 4 nights in the Farmhouse and had our wedding reception in the 2 barns and its was all out of this world! We are 100% over the moon with the whole experience! It is a super stunning setting, the new big barn is second to none, but the best part is how unbelievably helpful the Managers Chloe and Mel are. Throughout the whole year and a half after booking East Afton, Chloe has been amazing, responding promptly to all my emails (and there were a lot), answering all my questions and just making me feel completely reassured the whole time. Then in the few days leading up to our big day and on the day, Mel was absolutely amazing, she also made me feel very reassured of a smooth run and nothing was too much trouble, I was able to enjoy my wedding day knowing EVERYTHING was taken care of, Mel even kept our children entertained during the speeches which was so thoughtful and also took care of our youngest boy when it was time for bed, taking him over to the annex to the babysitter. On the day also ALL the staff were amazing and so much fun. We 100% highly recommend East Afton for your wedding. Thank you to you all from the bottom of our hearts.

We couldn’t have wished for a better venue to have our wedding than East Afton, it’s the most special venue and gave us everything we had envisaged for our wedding day.

Right from the first email to enquire the team was fabulous and bent over backwards to make sure we could view the venue in between lockdowns and then helped us throughout the whole process all the way up to the big day and after! No question was too small and communication from the whole team was more than we could have wished for.

The venue itself is stunning and you can really put your own stamp on it to make your wedding day just what you imagined.

We choose the venue because they are so flexible, allowing us to create the wedding we wanted. The staff are all so lovely and helpful, no request was too much for them.
