We had our wedding in the summer at The Seahorse, and I can not recommend it highly enough! We had our reception party downstairs with the beautiful view of the sea, a sit down 3 course meal and a party afterwards and it was so perfect! Bex the Events Manager was amazing and everything went exactly to plan, and she was so helpful and accomodating of all our requests. The staff on the day were brilliant, and we had the best day! The Seahorse also kindly gave us dinner on the house when we went back for dinner recently to reminisce! Big thanks to everyone at the Seahorse who helped to make our day run so smoothly.

Going into our wedding, my now wife and I had some idea of what we wanted for our wedding day, a venue away from the hustle and bustle of civilisation, a rustic but well equipped barn, picturesque surroundings for as far as the eye could see. We thought we were being too picky, and that such a venue only existed in our imaginations. That was until my wife stumbled across Home Farm Stables. From the pictures we were excited, and so we quickly asked to meet the owners to take a look around. Lucy and Barry met us in the court yard of their wedding venue. It had been easy to find, and we were impressed by how close to Uckfield it was for our guests to find transport, but somehow felt like it was a hundred miles to the nearest person. We greeted them, and immediately knew this place was special. They were warm and welcoming, but interested and excited in what we had planned. As we started walking around, a cynical man could think this was all part of a sales pitch, but as you will read below, this was far from the case. The venue itself is stunning, the barn is rich with character, set in front of bright fields which blur into lush forrest. The facilities are excellent, more than ample for any decently sized wedding, and everything is nicely accessible those less able. As you leave the barn, and enter the fields beyond, your view is dominated by a wise oak that almost seems too perfectly shaped to be real. Lucy and Barry suggested we should have our ceremony beneath the enormous canopy of the tree. We were thrilled. Throughout the planning of the wedding, Lucy and Barry maintained a level of enthusiasm that kept us excited for our wedding, rather than anxious over the details. They kept up the that initial energy that had drawn us in on the first meeting, contributing a plethora of ideas and suggestions which we adopted for our day, and it wouldn't have been the same without them. Wandering back up the field, we passed along side the pig sty and cottage that come with the venue. Again, everything is wonderfully equipped, and beautifully furnished. In front of the pond, near the cottage, there sat a repurposed horse carriage, Barry suggested we could have cocktails from it after the food, and we did. They were excellent. We also decided to have Glamping tents set up in the field, which Lucy and Barry helped organise. This was completely painless too, with our guests turning up to drop off their belongings straight into ready prepared bell tents. Our wedding day was flawless. It was, and always will be, a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. This was in no small part due to the perfect venue, and the perfect hosts. This venue is a MUST SEE! It is the perfect place to celebrate, and enjoy the best days of your lives.

We loved having our wedding reception at The Cartlodge last year. The staff were so helpful and communicated well. We had so many compliments on how lovely the venue was and we got some lovely professional photos from around the grounds too. 100% would recommend to others and we will host other events there when we need to!

I can not begin to thank the team at Dyke golf club enough for all the hard work they all put in not only on the build-up to our wedding day but the day itself! they put us at ease throughout the whole process and shared their expertise along the way!

The most stunning venue. We had so many compliments about how stunning the place is. The owners are so friendly and allow you to celebrate how you want. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Lovely venue. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Made our event so pleasurable in planning & on the actual day. Worth a look you will fall in love with the venue too.

I came in as the event manager and coordinator for my friends; the bride and groom, however not needed as Jenny takes care of every element of your day. She is a joy to work with. The venue is exceptional. The decor is stunning and every detail has been well thoughtout with a lot of love and care. It has many beautiful settings yet still a size that feels intimate and keeps your guests nearby while they enjoy the grounds. The beautiful high-end double marquee and the dance party room with a fully equipt bar means there is more than enough space even in the wet weather. The out door ceremony space is that of a midsummer night's fairytale. All the team at TB, especially Jenny and Oli were so accommodating during the planning, throughout the day and days after so you'll always feel looked after every step of the way. I highly recommend hiring the sound and lighting team if you can. They are real pros, find solutions to meet your needs and will bring your event to the next level. Definitely worth every penny. Every member of the TB team were warm, fun and friendly and gave exceptional service. Trading Boundaries is a true Sussex countryside treasuretrove and you will be so pleased you chose them for your special day. Your guests will certainly have venue envy!

The team at the Jolly were really warm, welcoming and accommodating. It really felt like they wanted to make our day as special as they could. The food was delicious, with a special mention to the canapés that were both beautiful and so tasty! It was really nice to have the rooms upstairs for close family to stay. We had a really magical day.

Gorgeous location and has great staff who made sure our dreams came true. Everyone made us feel so comfortable and in very safe hands - on what could be a little bit of a stressful time! The barn is great if you would like to have everything in one location, we did the ceremony at one end which then turned into a dance floor after the wedding reception. Gorgeous piccie spots too - and 2 pigs (Tommy and Violet) that were stars of the show for the kids! Really recommend the Great Thatch Barn and Circa.
