Eden Barn is a delightful wedding venue located in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. Set amongst 100 acres of outstanding natural beauty, this destination is both exclusive and intimate and will immerse your guests in a calming, elegant ambiance. Couples are invited to book this illustrious location for their nuptials.
Facilities and Capacity
From the vaulted ceiling to the exposed stone walls and limestone flagged floor, our traditional 200-year-old Westmorland stone barn offers a unique rustic elegance that can be tailored to suit any style-conscious couple. Guests can enter through our traditional oak barn doors and walk up the aisle surrounded by all the character you could wish for. You and your partner can then exchange vows under our enchanting canopy of festoon lights, or under our handcrafted outdoor pavilion with its stunning scenic backdrop. For couples seeking a church wedding, there are several beautiful historic churches nearby. In addition to the main barn, there is a spacious adjoining reception and bar area with a striking floral canopy, cosy seating areas, and timber panelled bathrooms. Our newly created lounge has a boho, relaxed vibe and is available exclusively for the couple to use pre and post-ceremony. Guests are also able to enjoy our outside areas, which offer stunning views of the surrounding scenery from a landscaped lawn and patio, which feature natural wooden seating and a thatched gazebo.
Services Offered
Eden Barn is run by the Harker family, who understand how important your wedding day is for you. Catering is provided by the venue's sole supplier, Southcott Events. They can create bespoke menus using locally sourced produce and serve your evening food in style from 'The Shack'. Eden Barn is located in Little Musgrave, three miles from both Kirkby Stephen and Brough, and four miles from the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The nearest train station is only five miles away and is on the idyllic Settle to Carlisle Railway line. Eden Barn is also close to Appleby and Ravenstonedale.

Just one word… WOW!
What can I say? I have honestly had the best day of my life. I felt like I was a guest at my own wedding, Eden Barn took the stress away from the minute we walked into the bridal room to get ready, they were so attentive, always making sure we were having an amazing day and everything ran like clockwork from behind the scenes.
We knew from the moment we visited the venue that this is where we would book for our wedding 2 and a half years ago and it exceeded all expectations. The family are so lovely and genuinely care about each and every wedding, the grounds are stunning and the organisation has been exceptional. I would do it all again in a heartbeat exactly as it happened, everyone says it is the best day of their life but I know it would not of been half as good without this amazing venue. Thank you so so much!

Incredible venue!
Eden Barn is simply a paradise! A stunning venue with the most helpful people who can’t do enough to help make sure your day is perfect. We are so grateful to them for how magical our day was and can’t imagine anywhere more beautiful for our wedding 🥰

THE most amazing, Family-ran Wedding Venue!
Our dream Wedding Day!
From start to finish, all involved with Eden Barn were an absolute dream to deal with - they also contributed to making our Wedding Planning experience SO much fun (& much less stressful!).
First of all during our initial viewing - we were greeted by Cliff & Carolyn who were on it from the moment we arrived & instantly made us feel welcome.
They gave an in-depth tour & an insight in to all the timings of the day which was brilliant in order for us to see how the whole day would flow! (& how accurate they were!)
We fell in love with Eden Barn via Social Media, but this enhanced further during our viewing - it's even more amazing in real life!
During the planning stages, they were always to hand & responsive with any questions or queries that we had - this goes for the Caterers of Southcott too!
Nothing was ever too much trouble - they all completely put your mind at ease.
Our Wedding Day flowed seamlessly! The staff, the service, the organisation, the food, the venue & even the weather - Amazing! Our day truly was all we could have ever dreamt of.
Our guests even went on to comment that it was the most beautiful & organised Wedding Venue they had ever attended, which admittedly gave myself & my Husband the extra buzz after what we would certainly say was the best day of our lives so far!

Absolutely exceptional venue, all our dreams came true getting married there in August 2024! The eden barn team are amazing and ensured everything ran so smoothly, not to mention the stunning venue. We had several guests say that it was the best wedding they have been to!

The most stunning wedding venue!!
Cliff, Carolyn, Andrea, Julia & All the Eden Barn team could not do more for us, from our first viewing to our incredible wedding day!! Eden barn is the perfect wedding venue, with a beautiful bridal lounge, stunning ceremony barn which is soon turned around for wedding breakfast & then dance floor, a large well stocked bar and a spacious outside space perfect for a chilled drink in the evening sun. Eden Barn is the very best and will always have a special place in our hearts! We cannot thank them enough for all there help, support & hospitality which made our special day so incredible! :)

Perfect from start to finish
We got married at Eden Ban 4th June 2023 and it was everything we dreamed of!
Eden Barn was the first and only wedding venue we visited and we knew instantly it was the one for us. We'd seen so many photos and already knew we loved it but the barn in person is something else!
Cliff, Carolyn and family could not have been more helpful. The months leading up to the wedding and the day itself, nothing was too much. Everything ran so seamlessly and stress free on the day - we knew we were in great hands.
Southcott catering did an amazing job at getting food out promptly and to such a high standard. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food who tucked into the Cumbrian feasting board.
We can't thank you enough for such a perfect day, and we hope one day we get to experience the venue again as a wedding guest.

Where do I start??
Wow, where do I start with eden barns wedding venue?
First of all, it is thee most incredible venue we've ever seen/visited. Eden barn was the second venue we viewed, the first one wasn't what we wanted (which we thought it would be) and so we didn't hold out much hope for any future viewings, so we booked 4 more - the first of the 4 being eden barn, let's just say as soon as we left I cancelled the other 3 venue viewings. As soon as we got there we knew that's where we would get married. And then we got talking with Cliff and Carolyn - the parents of the family. What a wonderful couple, they told us everything we needed to know, we didn't leave having had more questions, the next day we provisionally booked our November 2023 wedding. For the 2 years of planning, the Harker family were so on the ball with answering our questions, queries, worries and excitement based emails/calls. They made us feel like we were the only wedding they had going on.
The day - the day ran more perfect than we could have ever wished for, and I honestly think it was down to these guys. From Carolyn carrying my dress through wet puddles to get me down the aisle, to cliff climbing ladders to try and get the boys' football down off the roof!
The Harker family , Cliff, Carolyn, Andrea and Julia- who all played different roles to ensure our day was perfect , are the most beautiful family - inside and out that we have ever met. We're truly grateful for everything they did.

Amazing people
We got married in 2022 at the beautiful Eden Barn! We live on the Isle of Man & 80% of our guests travelled from there to attend our wedding and they were all absolutely blown away. We chose this gorgeous venue during lockdown so had to have a virtual tour, Andrea was very helpful, she showed us every detail and answered all our questions, we were looking for a dog friendly relaxed place in the country to fit in with our personalities and it stole our hearts immediately. The Harker family were amazing throughout the planning and helped us choose all of our incredible venders and we couldn’t recommend this place enough!! We had the most perfect day, thank you all for playing a huge part of it, every little detail was spot on.✨

The day of our dreams
There are no words that can describe just how grateful we feel to have found Eden Barn for our wedding. It was the dream venue, not only for its stunning surroundings and breathtaking barn, but also for the team. The Harkers and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. We felt so at ease and taken care of in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. They helped us to consider little details that we hadn’t thought of which just made the day all the more memorable and special. Eden Barn will forever be our favourite place.

A wonderful venue and team
Our wedding took place at the stunning Eden Barn at the end of April 2022. We can honestly say that the day was perfect. The Harker family and team at Eden Barn were so helpful and friendly both before the wedding in the planning stages, and on the day itself. The whole team really went the extra mile to ensure our wedding ran smoothly and everything went according to our plans. Eden Barn is a magical venue and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The best venue, team and food!!
We had the most amazing wedding at Eden Barn, we would 100% recommend this venue to any couples searching for a bespoke day at a stunning venue. From our first visit to the barn, we knew The Harkers were different, the real pride they have for the venue shines through in everything they do, and they were so flexible meaning that we were really able to personalise the day to our preferences. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to covid, and we really appreciated that the Eden Barn team made this as easy as it could possibly be for us, they saved us so much stress. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and year by year the Harkers have added more special touches to make it even more stunning. The food by Southcott Catering was also exceptional, high end restaurant quality, and we got so many compliments from our guests on both the venue and the food. In short, if you are considering Eden Barn - go for it. The customer service and family mentality of the team make it the most perfect choice!

The Best Wedding experience you could ever ask for
We got married at Eden Barn on the 23rd October 2021, after 2 postponements, we could honestly not have asked for a more perfect venue or day. Cliff, Carolyn & Andrea made sure the day ran perfectly. All the little details and management of the day was sorted and dealt with so that we had a stress free day. We only needed to visit one wedding venue to know that it was the place for us and we would recommend the whole Harker family to anyone looking at getting married in a stunning venue. All our guests were well taken care of and we all just want to repeat the whole day. Also Southcott Catering who work alongside Eden Barn were amazing and the food was absolutely beautiful. All in all an extremely perfect & magical day.

We welcome you to our styled viewing day, specifically aimed at newly engaged couples. A wonderful chance to see the barn dressed for a wedding by our trusty suppliers. Enjoy viewing the grounds and barn with a glass of fizz in hand, whilst our caterers look after you with canapes. We will be on hand for any questions and to hear and talk more with you for how your day would be at Eden Barn. Our hotel, The Wilding Hotel, will open to have a look around. You can also stay over if you wish.
