Glewstone Court Country House is an award-winning wedding venue situated in Ross-On-Wye in an area of natural beauty. This hidden Herefordshire gem received the AAs highest accolade for outstanding quality and service in 2023 and won Best Wedding Venue in the 4 Counties Matrimony Awards. The courtyard with it's Mediteranean feel has a trendy cocktail/gin bar and the grounds are maticulously kept beneath a spectacular, 500-year-old Cedar of Lebanon. Facilities and Capacity
Glewstone Court Country House is a Grade II listed Georgian Manor House of breathtaking beauty. Both its lush, perfectly manicured lawns and its stately, sophisticated indoor spaces can be used for your civil ceremony and wedding breakfast. Inside, you will find rooms with tall ceilings, hardwood floors, vintage furnishings, crystal chandeliers, and crown moulding. A grand, original spiral staircase will take you up from the entrance hall to the porticoed landing and Gainsborough suite. The huge suite with stunning views from the French doors, a 7ft Palais Royal bed and full length mirrors is the perfect place to prepare with your loved ones. Outside in the landscaped grounds, you can dine al fresco or set up a large marquee for covered celebrations.

The hire of Glewstone Court Country House comes with exclusive access to the property, giving you seclusion and tranquillity. The manor also has a team of event specialists who are in touch with their impromptu sides and understand the importance of the little details. If you are considering Glewstone as a wedding venue, firstly great choice, secondly no need to bother with other venues as Glewstone is as good as it gets.
My husband and I had our wedding at Glewstone on 7th October 2024. Our wedding day was perfect, and it was all thanks to Sam, Charles, Amy, Gary and the rest of the team at Glewstone. Glewstone offered an amazing service throughout, working with us on a bespoke menu which the chef and kitchen crew executed impeccably, we had endless comments from our guests about how amazing the food was, I myself enjoyed the food so much that it felt a shame that I couldn't finish my meal, we will definitely be back for their diners club. The evening food was heavenly (photo included) and guests were raving about it the next day. Gary and Amy worked endlessly in the background to ensure the planning of our day was smooth sailing, with Sam, Charles and the rest of the team handling the day itself. We had many comments about how Sam and Charles greeted guests on a first name basis and remembered their names throughout the day. Sam ordered drinks into the bar especially for the occasion. At the end of the day when my dad and sister's taxi still had not turned up, Charles even offered them a lift back to their hotel (luckily their taxi turned up in the end, as Charles deserved a well earned rest at the end of the day). We had many comments about how nice the bedrooms were, how good a nights sleep everyone had and the quality of the breakfast the next morning. The added bonus was when we walked into the Gainsborough suite and realised that the bathroom had been renovated.
The venue itself and grounds were perfect for photo opportunities and our photographer managed to take amazing photos of us in the orchards and in front of the house itself.
Having been to many weddings, we can confidently say the complete service from Glewstone was a masterclass in how to deliver an unforgettable wedding day.
My husband and I cannot recommend Glewstone highly enough, they offered everything from early check ins for guests to bespoke food and drink and everything in between.

The best day ever!
We made the best decision having our Wedding Day at Glewstone Court. From the moment we first viewed the venue we fell in love with it. Gary showed us around and took the time to go through everything. Amy was on hand to answer any queries along the way and was a great help leading up to the Wedding with organising the day. On the day all of the staff provided a five star service. Charles was amazing ensuring everything ran smoothly. There were no wedding day stresses as Glewstone had it covered. An extra special shoutout to Sam who we nicknamed ‘Superhero Sam’ as he saved the day on several occasions. It was lovely to see Gary after the ceremony providing his congratulations. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and were absolutely blown away by the incredible food. Our wedding day at Glewstone was full of personal touches. If you want to get married in a beautiful venue with an amazing team looking after you then pick Glewstone. Thank you for the most incredible Wedding Day. Glewstone Court will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Our beautiful day
We went to the Glewstone wedding open day. I think our faces said it all! We couldn’t believe that this could be the place we could get married and within our budget.
The whole process and planning was made very easy by the incredible team… they absolutely thought of everything little detail to make our day truly special.
The day itself was run like clockwork without us even being aware.. the team work so hard in the background but keep you feeling like it’s the perfect day.

Amazing Day!
We got married here in May 2024, we originally booked our wedding for May 2025, however due to my mother being very unwell we brought our wedding forward. Glewstone Court were accommodating from the very start, especially Gary and Amy when it came to the planning.
For the wedding weekend we had Charles and Sam with us, they were on the ball and ensured everything ran so smoothly.
The food was fantastic and the venue and setting were incredible, we could not recommend this venue enough.
Thank you again for our incredible day, it was so incredibly special to have my mother there too!

The most incredible day!
We cannot thank Glewstone Court enough for giving us the most beautiful experience for our wedding day. The beauty of the venue, the wonderful staff and the warm feeling we had as soon as we visited Glewstone is what drew us to it immediately!
Right from the start of the wedding day we were met with such care and attention to detail. Even though it was raining, the whole team did everything they could to make sure that everyone was happy and settled and I really didn’t think twice about the weather! The interior of the venue was so elegant, with the fires lit and the gorgeous, tall windows making us feel like the outside was part of the inside. It was truly beautiful!
The bridal party were greeted by Sam, who immediately helped me in with my umbrella! We cannot thank Sam enough for the incredible care and support he provided to the whole wedding party from start to finish. He was so helpful, attentive and made us feel so welcome. Everyone commented on how wonderful the whole team were during the day, they really went above and beyond!
All guests have commented on how amazing the day was. The food was absolutely delicious and the rooms were incredible.
We all had such an amazing day filled with smiles, fun and laughter. It is a day we will cherish forever and we cannot thank Glewstone Court enough for that!

Above and beyond
My wife and I had every engauged couples worst fears come true. Just one week before our big day, our venue cancelled on us after 14 months worth of planning.
We didn't know at the time, but this proved to be far from a disaster, and was instead a blessing in disguise.
This, at the time, devistating news, lead us on the path to a day far better than we could have imagined.
Gary, Sam, Joel, Amy, and Charles, with only a weeks notice, managed to deliver us a day that looked as though it had been planned for months. The team at Glewstone Court worked tirelessly, cancelled personal time off, and went above and beyond to give us the most wonderful day.
We truly can't thank Gary and Sam's team enough.
The food was elegantly presented and delicious, the service was outstanding, and the location and venue itself are truly beautiful.
We can't recommend Glewstone court enough. If you are lucky enough to secure a date at this wonderful venue, you will not regret it. Be prepared to have your expectations blown out of the water!

Best day EVER!!
We chose Glewstone Court for our wedding, and we were all so blown away by how incredible it was in every possible way.
They went above and beyond in every sense, Charles and Sam in particular were amazing on the big day. Everyone said how brilliant they were. It was certainly a joy to have people so cool, calm, and collected on such a crazy day!
We'd been speaking with Amy prior to the big day, and she was so lovely and knowledgeable that it made planning an absolute dream.
Gary was very polite and friendly, and it was lovely to meet him. At a lot of venues, you don't often see the owners, but it's lovely that he's so hands on here and it's clear that he (and everyone else) really do care and always give 100%.
We would recommend Glewstone Court to anyone, and we can't wait to return in the future! It's such a wonderful building, and the location is stunning.

Look no further!
We booked the two night package in December 2023 and have absolutely no regrets!! It was amazing to have our close friends and family be with us the evening before the big day.

A Perfect venue for a perfect day
We had an absolutely amazing day. The venue was perfect, the food was outstanding, the team at Glewstone looked after everyone so well and the whole day ran like clockwork. It was everything we could have hoped for. We especially wanted to thank our MC, Charles, who did such an amazing job, keeping his cool whilst performing what must be an incredibly stressful role. He was completely unflappable and had a smile on his face the whole time. What a remarkable young man!

What can we say - the team are phenomenal! The communication from Amy and Gary were wonderful throughout the planning stages and we were well looked after by Sam, Charles and the team on the day and evening prior to our big day. Nothing was too much; they are the perfect balance between attentive and giving us privacy throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the food and atmosphere were fantastic, the rooms were clean, well equipped and added an amazing sense of luxury - the bridal suite is AMAZING! We could not have wished for a better day, thank you so much all for an amazing experience from start to finish - we will certainly be returning in the future for your dinner evenings and look forward to seeing you all again as Mr and Mrs 😊

The best day of our lives!
From start to finish Glewstone court was the perfect wedding venue for us and all of our guests! The food was incredible, the rooms are absolutely stunning and the photos we have from this beautiful place are stunning! The main reason for us choosing this venue was not only for the intimate wedding that we wanted but also the exclusivity of this venue and the fact we had it all to ourselves from the Friday to the Sunday. All of our guests absolutely loved the venue and had an amazing time. Honestly our wedding day was the best and honestly I couldn’t wish for anything more, everyone at glewstone made our day so special from Sam checking in on me every hour to see how me and my bridal party were getting on to topping up our Prosecco right to the last dance. Amy our wedding co ordinator wax absolutely amazing and couldn’t have done any more to make our day the best it was. Me and my husband are so grateful to everyone at Glewstone court for making our day so special, Gary honestly you have the best wedding venue in the world and your team are fantastic. Thank you so much for everything and we are very lucky to have been part of the Glewstone family for our big special day. Thank you.

Fantastic, absolutely great service beautiful location and food.
We had our wedding at Glewstone at the weekend.
Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Sam was absolutely brilliant, I tried not to be a bridezilla about anything. We had loads of laughs with the organisation, everyone commented on the venue, the food and the rooms. We couldn't have asked for more.

An unforgettable wedding day
The whole team at Glewstone were incredible in their running of both the wedding day and the planning stages. Our wedding was made to be a stress free experience from booking to the last song of the night, allowing us to enjoy our day to the full. Their flexibility was appreciated with last minute guest changes and being able to make each aspect of the day feel like our own.

Glewstone: The best people in the world all under one roof!
From the moment we randomly swung by just to take a look, we were utterly captivated. Glewstone Court is not only a beautiful family-run home, but it is filled with the most wonderful supporting staff and chefs. Gary Homewood, the owner, is just lovely, and so kind and flexible. Of all the venues we'd seen, this was the only one that was truly flexible and willing to give us whatever we wanted; evidence of this is how they adapted during COVID and did not pass the cost to the customer - it is absolutely clear how passionate the Homewood family is about giving you your best day. On the day itself, Sam was exceptional; his attention to detail rivalled my own! Never without a smile, there was no job too big or small for him, and what a sense of humour! We booked for the whole weekend with our guests arriving on Friday for an incredible pre-wedding dinner, then the day itself was nothing short of spectacular. Leaving after brunch on Sunday was profoundly emotional after having a home from home all weekend. Our friends have not stopped talking about it since! Words simply cannot express our gratitude and we hope to be friends of Glewstone for life.
