We first booked our wedding for Sept 2020. Then covid struck and only politicians were allowed to party so we rebooked for Sept 2021. Sadly our best man was stranded in Australia so we had to postpone and reschedule for May 2022. None of this seemed to worry the unphaseable weddings team at Goldsborough Hall.
From our arrival, going the extra mile seemed to be the norm with extremely polite and staff who were helpful in every way.

Everything from table settings to caring for the grounds is covered and what a setting. The venue is exquisite and attention to detail is second nature to these hard working professionals.

Generally speaking nowadays it's easy to knock a product, almost trendy in fact. I can't. There was nothing to complain about.

The Halls' setting is beautiful but it was the staff that made it. They turned our special day into an extra special occasion for us and for our guests.

I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Goldsborough Hall. We will definitely be returning for our anniversaries.

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Goldborough Hall in October 2024.
The day was perfect, and the staff ran it like clockwork. The hall is so beautiful both inside and out that it wouldn't have mattered what the weather was like on the day.
We had the wedding breakfast in the dining room which was the perfect size for our number of guests (50).
Our wedding coordinator, Alison, was clearly very experienced and was extremely patient, helpful and attentive with organising our wedding.
We had complete trust in the Goldsborough team that they would work well with our suppliers to set up everything just how we envisioned and they didin't disappoint.
We felt at home with every visit and everyone complemented how beautiful the hall was, along with the great food and the bedrooms. We look forwards to visiting for future anniversaries!

We had an amazing wedding day, Ali and a Melanie were so knowledgeable and accommodating and ran everything like clockwork on the day.
All of our guests loved the place, the suites are amazing, beautiful gardens and a very calm and welcoming atmosphere to the whole event.

Overall our Wedding day was a success thanks to our family and friends. The Goldsborough Hall venue itself was spectacular. Unfortunately for us, on the day, they were extremely understaffed, to the extent no glasses were replenished during our drinks reception and several guests didn't get any canapés. We had problems at the bar with generally only 1 person serving for a wedding of 94 guests for the majority of the day. After our Wedding, we were faced with an extraordinarily high bar bill, which they couldn't explain in many areas. Overall, we were very disappointment and spent 7 weeks of married life trying to resolve the many issues that arose from the day, which we did eventually get some compensation for their downfalls.

Goldsborough offered us exactly what we wanted for a wedding venue. Exclusivity, with class and quality of service from start to finish. From the menu tasting to our big day we couldn’t have wished for anything more. Mel and Mel were amazing as hosts and communication was always excellent. The food and venue were perfect. It's going to be hard to sum up in 75 characters but here's the top highlights:
- Beautiful venue for any weather. Different rooms and areas that make the day flow seamlessly and gorgeous gardens
- Excellent, organised and attentive wedding team that walk through every detail and take so much stress out of the equation
- Food and was excellent but you do have to opt for the venues food and narrow it down to one option for everyone. We found the wine selection not quite to our taste but worked out a way to bring some of our own. The team we're flexible with exploring the options on that one.

We got married at Goldsborough Hall in January. It was the perfect venue for our wedding - it is such a beautiful Hall but keeps such a relaxed atmosphere.

I am so grateful to Alison who was there from the first day we viewed the hall to coming up to say hi on the day of the wedding and followed up with us afterwards. It was really useful having the same person to contact throughout and who got to know us through the process.

Some of the processes in booking and arranging certain aspects prior to the wedding was a little unclear at times e.g process for booking rooms, sorting food allergies etc. However, the team was always easy to get in contact with to discuss.

Our day was really well coordinated and our guests commented on how well organised the meal service was with someone overseeing it.

The food was absolutely incredible and dietary requirements were well catered for.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding to consider Goldsborough Hall.

As a Wedding Photographer I see the best and worst of what happens behind the scenes as well as being able to evaluate what makes a great venue in terms of looks, service and value and Goldsborough is one of those places that ticks most if not all of the boxes !

We celebrated our wedding on 22nd October 2022. From the very first minute we walked round the corner from the car park and saw Goldsborough Hall in all its glory, to the moment of check out the day after our wedding, everything about our experience was completely spectacular. Alison, as our wedding co-ordinator, was everything we could have hoped for and more. Nothing was too much trouble and we just knew that we were in very safe hands. The whole team at Goldsborough deserve huge credit. I do not think they realise that their normal ‘day-to-day’ has such an incredibly powerful impact on the experience of their guests, and particularly their wedding couples. All of our guests commented on how they had never been to a wedding, or venue, like it, and were full of high praise for everyone. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making our special day more magical than we could have ever very imagined. And thank you to Clare and Mark for welcoming people into your home. My husband and I first attended Goldsborough Hall in 2016 for dinner and an overnight stay, after a friend recommended it to us. At the time we weren’t even engaged, but within ten minutes of being sat in the beautiful library, sipping champagne and gazing out over the beautiful grounds, we both agreed it would be the place we would eventually get married.
We started to plan the wedding in March 2018 and from our first contact with her, wedding planner Alison was helpful, informative and extremely friendly. I would often email her and say ‘I’m so sorry to bother you’, but she would reply straight away and always made me feel reassured, I never felt like a question that I had was unnecessary.
Throughout Covid, the contact remained frequent with Alison. I know of brides that went months without contact from their venues and were left feeling panicked about their day. This was not the case with Goldsborough, the team were always on hand to offer help and reassurance and I felt very thankful that I had chosen them. Even during a pandemic, the planning process was made so easy.
On every visit to the Hall we were made to feel special, the staff make you feel so welcome and ensure a personalised experience. The overnight stay and meal to choose our wedding breakfast was a lovely touch and absolutely made us select different options than we would have done if we had picked from a list.
When it came to the day, on 16th December 2021, the staff take everything in hand and make it clear that they will manage everything and you are there to enjoy yourself. We had a meal with family and friends the night before at the Bay Horse pub, who are also really friendly and helpful. Our ceremony was at St Marys Church, only a short walk from the Hall. So close, in fact, that I decided to walk to it! It was a perfect, sunny day, and the grounds of both the church and the Hall were so beautiful for our photos. Once back for the reception it ran like a dream, the staff are all so professional and well rehearsed at running weddings everything went to plan. The food was beautiful and the attention to detail perfect. Special mention to Marius and Melanie who ran things on the day and took the time to chat with us and make sure all was done to our liking. In respect of it being Christmas, the decorations at the Hall are beautiful and tasteful, and only added to the festive wedding I had dreamed of.
Overall, I cannot recommend Goldsborough Hall enough. When I look back over our wedding, there is nothing about it that I would change. It was all absolutely perfect and we feel so lucky to have been able to start our marriage there.

We can't fault anything about our wedding day at Goldsborough Hall. From our first meeting with Alison we knew we were in good hands. The venue is truly awesome with fabulous gardens for all of your photographs. We were able to choose exactly the menu that we wanted and it was beautifully presented and delicious. On the day Melanie catered for our every need and nothing was ever too much trouble as she made sure everything was perfect. We would highly recommend the venue to anyone.

We married in May 2021 at this lovely venue. The staff were amazing and so supportive, providing us with a magical fairy tale experience. Every detail was perfect. If you wish for a beautiful venue, with delicious food from their 3 rosettes kitchen, look no further than Goldsborough Hall. The happy memories will last forever.

The team at Goldsborough made our day perfect. Their support on the journey from start to finish was unwavering. Through the challenges of COVID they moved our date without issue 4 times without any price increase. Alison in particular is like your best friend. I couldn’t have gotten through it without her.
The food was amazing and the venue is breathtaking. I can’t recommend them more.

There is nothing I can fault about Goldsborough Hall. Having multiple changes due to COVID Goldsborough were always attentive, empathetic, professional and supportive. The customer service, venue and food are all A Class.

Goldsborough Hall is the most stunning wedding venue and the most beautiful hotel and it will forever remain our little slice of paradise. From the moment we walked through the door Melanie, Amanda, Dan and all the team worked tirelessly, they could not do enough for us.
