Conveniently close to Stansted Airport, our venue is easily accessible for all of your wedding guests. A peaceful setting, providing beautiful photos of your special day, means Golf World Stansted is your ideal venue.

As a beautiful green parkland golf course, you can choose from a variety of stunning settings for your photographs of your day. The carefully nurtured course has many different settings, including the forest and the lakes. We will take you and your selected guests out on special buggies, to your chosen location, for the best photos, amongst breathtaking scenery. NOW including photos on our 1066 Adventure Golf Course!!

Our delightful Barn Suite is licensed for ceremonies, with a balcony overlooking the golf course, where you can bring the outdoors to your wedding. Alternatively we have our Oak Framed Pavilion for outdoor weddings. Golf World Stansted can accommodate up to 78 guests for your sit down wedding breakfast. Your dedicated wedding coordinator can recommend some of the most experienced suppliers to help set the scene you wish for, so that you can enjoy our delicious menu without a worry. Our venue can accommodate up to 150 people for your evening reception, so you can share your wedding with your friends and family in style.

I had exacting standards they exceeded them!

My husband and I were looking for an intimate venue for our Ruby Wedding anniversary and came upon Golf World Stansted. Having spent many years in events, I knew I had exacting standards and Leanne and her team not just met them but exceeded. We had the most wonderful day, a trip on a golf buggy for photos by the lake and an event coordinator who sang on our entrance and first dance. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone and we will certainly remember you for future events!

It was truly amazing...

We recently had our wedding reception at Golf World and we can't praise it enough. From the first time we saw the venue we knew it was perfect for us, the barn suite is beautiful with all the white drapes around and the lovely views over the golf course. It also caught our eye because it had an outdoor patio area and a balcony it was important for us to have different areas as we had a wide age range of guests attending.

When we first met Leanne she was so calm and just listened to exactly what we wanted and was so accommodating I was extremely worried that all the golfers would be everywhere but she assured me that as soon as they see a wedding going on they stay out the way and that was so true I hardly noticed any of them. We went on to have many meetings with Leanne to make sure we were both on the same page and knew exactly what the day was going to entail. I dread to think the amount of emails I sent Leanne and she always responded quickly to any of my queries.

On the day it was truly amazing I arrived after all my guests and they had the red carpet out for me. And a glass of bubbly ready to hand me immediately. Leanne came and congratulated us and then she was so involved in handing out the canapés and making sure everything was running on time.
Since the wedding we have already been back twice for something to eat as the food is amazing. We can't recommend this venue highly enough as they truly gave us an amazing day and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We hope to be regulars now!

Where do I start... they gave us a perfect day

Where do I start.... after having a massive cake emergency the day before my wedding, Leanne took it upon herself to save the day and arranged for the cake to be sorted for us, even though she had her own evening plans but spent over 5 hours doing everything in her power to get us a cake and by 8pm the same day we had a cake! Our wedding (yesterday) was absolutely faultless, Leanne and her team gave us a perfect day and we can’t thank them enough for tending to all our needs ss well as our guests and we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day! I have had nothing but amazing messages from our guests on how fantastic our day was at Elsenham Golf Club! I am happy to talk to any brides to be but I can assure you that you won’t get a better service! Once again, thank you Leanne and all your team for giving us a wedding to remember

We couldnt have asked for anything better

We had our wedding reception here on the 24th June, we couldn't have asked for anything better! Leanne is extremely helpful and she did absolutely everything she could to make our day run as smoothly as possible. The venue itself is beautiful and has such a relaxed feeling. Prices are very reasonable especially compared to other local venues. I would recommend to anyone looking at getting married here or just for a relaxing drink or game of golf, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We had the perfect day and wouldn't have changed one single thing. Thank you Leanne and family

We would recommend the venue wholeheartedly

My wife and I held an evening reception and party at Elsenham Golf Club after our wedding in April. Leanne made the planning and budgeting process seamless and efficient, tailoring our budget and needs perfectly and offering advice and guidance in a very professional manner, not least because we were not put under any pressure whatsoever to spend more than we had.

The view over the course from the clubhouse balcony was superb and the venue itself was decorated wonderfully. The chef did a really fantastic job with a variety of different strengths of chilli and its accompaniments, and the bar and reception staff were excellent.

Without exception the guests (about 75 of them) said what a brilliant evening it was and from our perspective it rounded off a perfect day. We would recommend the venue wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Would highly recommend

Great location and wonderful venue set in beautiful surroundings next to the golf course. Excellent buffet lots to choose from, you can tailor your buffet to suit your budget which is very helpful. Leanne was so helpful throughout the planning and on the day, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and have booked a children's party for August. Watch this space for next review.

We just can’t thank you enough for everything..

We really do just want to thank you so much for all your effort you put in for our wedding. It was everything we could have asked for! All the time & hard work you put in really did show. Everyone commented on how hard you were working ensuring everything went to plan.

We know we were total pains by going completely off menu for the food but you certainly didn't disappoint! Everything was so fresh & tasty! It really was just what we had hoped for. The cheese & pineapple hedgehog was another conversation starter, so many people commented on how good it was & I can’t thank you enough for making sure my barmy wish was fulfilled.

The chocolate fountains were a total hit too! The fact you took the time to home bake the brownies really was a lovely touch.

You can really tell this is a family run business & that was what we were after, you just don't get that kind of service from a big corporate business.

Over the many months we have been coming to you to plan our wedding we really always felt welcome at the golf club. We certainly won’t be strangers & will be back for dinner or if I get my way another party!

We are just so grateful at how relaxed we have felt planning our wedding & how accommodating you have been has just been outstanding.

You must also thank your dad for dropping a few of us home as our taxis didn't arrive! You don't get that kind of service in a lot of places.

We just can’t thank you enough for everything. We have pleasure in recommending you for any events, you pulled out all the stops for us, it didn't go unnoticed by us or our guests.

We could not have hoped for better!

A huge thank you to Leanne and staff for giving us our perfect Wedding day. Everything ran seamlessly! All the guests commented on the beautiful environment, the lovely room, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the food and the all round relaxed feeling of the day. It was a magical day...

Our wedding planner was very helpful.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at Elsenham Golf Club on 5 December 2015. We had a wonderful day, the setting at the Golf Club is lovely, the function room modern and bright with a bar and seating area downstairs. The food and service was very good. Leanne, our wedding planner was very helpful and ensured the day ran smoothly. Our guests all commented on what a lovely day it was.

I would highly recommend this venue

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Elsenham Golf and Leisure. The events organiser, Leanne, was really great right from our first meeting. Nothing was too much trouble and she was completely flexible with all my wants and needs. She even did a deal with nearby hotels and taxi firms, so that no-one needed to drive. We had the whole venue to ourselves, which included the restaurant area, lounge and the function room. It was perfect for my 60 guests but would easily accommodate more guests than that. The food was a substantial finger buffet and all the guests thought it was delicious. Leanne and the chef, were more than happy to prepare whatever I wanted and the price was really reasonable. The whole team at Elsenham were friendly, very welcoming and professional. I was really delighted at the service we received and it made my birthday party a very memorable occasion. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering it for an event. It was stress free and fabulous.

Nothing was too much trouble.

I held my 60th birthday party here on Saturday. Leanne could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. This is the 3rd function we have been to here and it is definitely an excellent location. All of my guests commented on how good the food was. It is a real pleasure to stand on the terrace or balcony overlooking the rolling parkland of the golf course. If you are looking for somewhere to hold a similar bash or a wedding I would heartily recommend Elsenham GC.

No request was impossible

I had my 50th birthday party here and I couldn't have chosen better! Leanne couldn't do enough. No request was impossible. The food was fantastic and plentyful. They catered very well for the 75 or so guests that I had and made my 50th very special! I couldn't recommend them highly enough! Will definitely have another at this venue when the occassion arises.

A beautiful location for a wedding!

A beautiful location for a wedding! We were the first to get married there and had a wonderful, stress-free day. Leanne really looked after us well and did all the hard work of planning the wedding. All we had to do was choose the colour scheme, buy new clothes and turn up!
