Set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, Grittenham Barn offers you the perfect place to tie the knot. The charming venue is a traditional stone barn, boasting incredible views over the South Downs. The barn has been beautifully restored to provide the perfect space for a wonderful wedding.
The barn can accommodate up to 120 seated guests or 250 standing for your event. If required, we can also offer our beautiful oval marquee to be set up in the courtyard for your wedding celebrations.
We want you to have a relaxed and enjoyable wedding, so when you choose Grittenham Barn for your big day, you will enjoy exclusive use of the venue. You can make the most of the Barn the day before the wedding and until 11am the following day, allowing you plenty of time to put any finishing touches in place.
The stunning venue is set within picturesque gardens with a delightful lake, orchard and woodland. These serene surroundings can provide gorgeous backdrops for your treasured wedding photos.

The Perfect Day
Wow, I'm not even sure where to begin.
From the very first moment we walked in to Grittenham Barn and the warm relaxed welcome we got from Nicola, we both immediately turned to one another and said "This is the place".
Every single contact made, every single visit was completely effortless. Every question and queries asked were answered immediately.
From the set up the day before to Charlie running the actual day was completely seamless. Mark taking us over to the field in the Land Rover to get some beautiful golden hour shots was above and beyond expectation. We were incredibly lucky to have a glorious day and I'm pretty sure every single guest asked "Where did you find this place?" 🙂
You truly made our dream wedding Flawless.
I've attached some pictures from our photographer but looking forward to sharing many more.
We will definitely be at the Xmas market and Dan and I really want to come back and stay for our anniversary.

Throughout the planning process Katherine was incredibly flexible in discussing elements to do with the wedding and open to site visits when needed.
They had the grounds looking absolutely stunning come our wedding day which made an incredible back drop for all our gorgeous photos.
We nearly had a slight hiccup with a particular supplier but the team went into battle for us to smooth everything out. They did everything they could to ensure we had the best day with no stress.
Charlie was great on the day as well making sure everything was running smoothly and the bridal party were supported.
We also hired the two cottages on site which were perfect for the bridal party to stay in and meant a very relaxed morning getting up and getting ready - a truely beautiful place to be!
The marquee was also a huge saviour on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year. We loved having our wedding outside in the walled garden.
A thousand thanks again to the Grittenham team. What an amazing venue for an amazing day.
