Located near Ellon in rural Aberdeenshire, Haddo House is a grand and elegant stately home, surrounded by a beautiful terrace garden with colourful and geometric flower beds. This venue offers a wide range of spaces for weddings with up to 160 guests – and even has its own private chapel!

Haddo's beautiful ecumenical chapel is a very special place in which to hold a religious ceremony for up to 110 guests. Alternatively the romantic Library, with its cedar and ebony bookcases, is a stunning room to host a civil, religious or humanist ceremony for up to 80. Outdoor ceremonies can also take place in the beautiful gardens.

inside, the elegant interconnecting public rooms are ideal for drinks receptions, allowing guests to relax, mingle and enjoy the surroundings before dinner in the Library or Haddo Hall, which has played host to royalty and dignitaries over the centuries.

From the house, a short stroll through the grounds leads to the Haddo Hall. Inspired by Lord & Lady Aberdeen’s first trip to Canada in 1890, it’s an ideal spot for large receptions, ceilidhs, dancing and the evening’s festivities

One of Scotland's most spectacular wedding venues, Haddo House is cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, a charity dedicated to protecting Scotland’s exceptional nature, beauty and heritage. Income generated from weddings goes back into looking after this beautiful place.
