Where do I start…the most beautiful venue, staff, wedding coordinators, accommodation, suppliers EVERYTHING! We got married in September 2024 and had 66 guests stay the night before and the night after the wedding. It was everything we wished for and more! Robyn was our wedding coordinator, she made our whole experience so easy to plan, she was so informative and so relatable too! She was truly perfect. We had Ladybirds as our photographer and he was fantastic! Could not recommend him enough too! Overall, it was the best day of our lives and would highly recommend to anyone. A lot of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. A huge thank you to everyone involved!

I have been delivering wedding ceremonies here since 2022 and absolutely love the team here. They just get how I work and I get them so it makes everything seamless on the big day.

The venue lends itself to the perfect wedding ceremony with a jaw dropping window for your ceremony space or wonderful cabins for the smaller, more intimate ceremony. I would not hesitate in recommending this venue, expecially for expats who need to accommodate travelling guests for a few days.

The most amazing wedding, from start to finish Robyn and the team have been incredible. Every question, worry, stress was no problem for them and they made sure that everything was perfect. They allowed us to personalise our wedding, from the food, to the drinks choices, and made the planning of a 3 day event easy. The setting is out of this world, romantic, intimate, and all guests couldn’t get over how amazing it was. Guests also commented about the food, that they have never had food that good at a wedding! The quality was the same as any high end restaurant! I cannot thank Hidden River enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams

We cannot recommended Hidden River enough - it ticked every single one of our boxes as a beautiful, exclusive wedding venue that was equal parts outdoorsy and high-end. The barn space needs no explanation as to how stunning it is and its two-story functionality meant our entire day, from pre-ceremony drinks all the way till end of the night partying, happened seamlessly. The venue is so unique that it can accommodate all wedding guests, and its remoteness allows tour wedding weekend to feel extra special and private, off grid personal out in nature with all your family, friends and guests 💖 we had an exception wedding planner Robyn - who went above and beyond every step of the way to bring all of our ideas and dreams into fruition. Robyn had excellent communication and organisation, and helped not only in the lad up but also on the day to help with our timeline without a hitch.

Everything about Hidden River is outstanding. From the food and accommodation to the coordinators and seemless planning.

Every guest was amazed by the venue. The bar staff were highly commendable and the food was unbelievable. Laura did the best job in coordinating with all of our suppliers to ensure the day was smooth.

What an amazing look around, from start to finish we were blown away. The staff were professional and attentive and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue.

Wow, just wow. We found Hidden River Barn and its cabins by chance and fell in love with the place. It was quirky and just what we were looking for for our wedding. The staff were faultless, they were attentive and listened to what we wanted, all our guests were looked after, and everyone was impressed with both the venue and the staff. The accommodation was simply incredible with the spacious luxurious rooms, hot tubs and log burners. 

Moving onto the food, we had so many compliments regarding the canapés, wedding breakfast and the evening fish & chips. They all tasted fantastic, special thanks to Chef Jonny for delivering on the food, you did an amazing job!
Working with our wedding Co-ordinator Robyn was brilliant from start to finish. She went above and beyond to create the most exquisite, stylish and design-orientated wedding and made the entire experience joyful and stress-free. She’s easy going with a kind and patient manner and always so responsive and helpful (sorry for all the emails!) We knew we could trust her with our special day, thank you Robyn! I cannot recommend Hidden River enough, from the planning to the day they were amazing. It was slightly harder to plan as we are over 200 miles away from the venue, but every time I emailed, phoned or messaged they were so quick to respond and made me feel so relaxed about the process. On the day, everything went off without a hitch and Gillian ran the day so smoothly. Honestly, it felt so easy on the day and we really didn't have to think about a thing. I throughly enjoyed spending a few days a Hidden River and would highly recommend taking advantage of the lack of phone signal (it was so nice to have no messages constantly pinging through over the 3 days). All our guests were amazed with the place and had the best few days celebrating with us.

We will be coming back here every year for our anniversary for sure.

We loved our wedding at Hidden River Barn! The venue is so gorgeous and the team were so helpful. It’s not local for us or our guests, but it was so worth the travel, it was stunning, the accommodation was perfect, and the day went so smoothly! The food was also the best wedding food we’ve had!

Hidden River was absolutely incredible, we had the best day of our lives and the venue was complimented by every single one of our guests! People are still talking about the wedding 3 months later saying how good the venue and food was! Robyn and the team couldn’t have done any more to help and the whole day went perfectly. Having the venue for the full weekend was also a huge win, making it a 3 day celebration! All the guests stayed in the cottages/lodges/house and all were beautiful. The hot tubs were the perfect cherry on the cake!

Thank you again to everybody at hidden river, we really did have the most amazing weekend!

Our special day/two days at the Hidden River Barn could not have gone any better. We started off with the Greek the night before at the cafe with a suprise hippy night organised by the maid of honour and what a lovely way for all of our family and friends to get to know each other. We had 53 guests the night before and every single guest has since mentioned how amazing the Greek food the night before was.

Then the day started with Gill visiting us at the cabin which put me at great ease knowing she had everything in hand. Having attended other weddings at other venues since we realise what an asset Gill was on the day making sure everything ran smoothly with all of the incredible suppliers we were recommended. If you are considering the shuttle service of Dave & the land rover do not hesitate this is an incredibly valuable service and he is such a gentleman as you can see from the photos!

Matty the chef did everything he could for us on the day and leading up to the event when we couldn’t make our mind up what we wanted. It will be the only day we can skip a queue of 125 guests and go straight to the pizza oven to request pizzas to be brought to us at a table upstairs, we were made to feel like we were the King & Queen for the day. And then lovely Thomas what an absolute gem throughout the day/evening and at the end of the night bringing out our cold pizzas for us when we were all exhausted from hours of dancing. We chose to upgrade to the cocktail package and so pleased we did the mojitos we’re amazing and for those of us who don’t drink they were happy to make us an alcohol free alternative which tasted just as good.

Thankfully we had booked a longer stay at the Snowdrop Cabin because we really didn’t want to leave Hidden River.

I also cannot finish this review without highly recommending the services of Julie the dog sitter which the Hidden River recommend. She looked after our demanding 16 month old puppy all day collecting her from the cabin mid morning, spoiling her at her home nearby and was there to great us with our fur baby when we got back to the cabin at 12:45.

If only we had the budget to do it all over again!

Honestly our wedding at hidden river was everything I’d dreamed of and more… the place is absolutely beautiful, the first time we went to view it, we fell in love and knew it was the perfect place to be married. It had everything we needed for a large wedding. The accommodation is amazing for guests and it is perfect little get away whilst attending the wedding. Hidden river take care of all the food and drink which for me was a huge weight off my shoulders, and it was beautiful, every single person enjoyed their meal couldn’t fault it. The drinks flowed all day/night long, they were well stocked up for all us Scottish party people… also got in a soft drink as requested.
The girls at hidden river are all so attentive and always there for you when you have a question, nothing is too big or too small for them and they will give you the answer you need. They made wedding planning super easy, straight forward and more enjoyable.
I wish I could do our wedding day all over again, I had the best day ever, as did all of my guests. Thank you to hidden river for making it such a special day for us.

Hidden River is a stunning location, rain or shine. We have been well looked after from start to finish. Robyn and her team made the day feel seamless so my new husband and I were simply able to let it all soak in. Spending the night before in the cabins really helped us to switch off from the world and get ready to be married! Our friends and family all said it was one of the most fun and relaxed weddings they have been too. We are over the moon.

We got married here too, which was a fantastic day and our wedding coordinator was amazing, we couldn't ask for anything more on our special day! The cabins, barn and beautiful views really made the perfect wedding venue and really look outstanding on our wedding photos!

We hired three cabins; kingfisher, bluebell & foxglove. We looked at so many different pictures on the run up to our visit, but they could not prepare us for what we were about to walk into- the log cabins are OUT OF THIS WORLD! They have everything you could ever need when staying away from home, and the views from each of them were spectacular! The cabins were spotless, and the beds are so so comfortable!

We visited the barn restaurant, the food was delicious! What a beautiful restaurant it was too!

We can't wait to come back!

Myself and my partner actually booked this venue before viewing in person which sounds like a gamble, however, everything about the venue exceeded expectations from the stunning scenery, the venue itself and the attentiveness of the staff. Right from the initial booking the staff and organisers kept in touch and couldn't have been more helpful going out of their way to make sure our day was perfect. The wedding itself was a dream come true, everything ran seamlessly and a big part of this was down to the hard work and efforts of the staff, particularly Gillian who went above and beyond, even managing to provide a sewing kit for the brides dress. The guests were also well looked after and have also commented on how beautiful the venue was. We also booked the farmhouse and 2 of the cabins which were immaculate and absolutely breathtaking. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for making our day so special, one we will never forget. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have the perfect wedding day.
