Unique Wedding Venue

We had our wedding at Hilles House on Saturday 11th May and it was more than we ever could have hoped for. I remember my Dad driving me down the long driveway in an old landrover through all of the wild garlic and seeing our guests making their way to the outdoor ceremony overlooking five counties. We had drinks on the terrace in the sunshine, a delicious meal by Cotswold Cooks in the Palace Yurt and watched the incredible sunset before an amazing party.

We saw lots of venues and so many felt like a 'package' or 'factory wedding'. Hilles gave us the flexibility to be creative and design the day we wanted. Emma was brilliant and we actually really enjoyed the day before decorating with all of our bridal party. We spent the evening before the wedding in the local village pub The Royal Oak which is lovely.

I would really recommend our suppliers as well, our incredible photographer Amy-Rose Photography, Cotswold Cooks and the Enchanted Florist. I wish we could do it again!

My daughters wonderful day

I didn’t realise the trials and tribulations of arranging a wedding until recently when my daughter Rosie got married . A wedding should be a joyous occasion and therefore it is paramount that it is as stress free as possible . There are beautiful venues around the country and ‘’Hilles House’ is indeed a beautiful venue - the views - the gardens - the house - and the yurt are truly sensational . The mist important issue however was the delightful host Detmar who is absolutely charming and he is a calming influence during the whole event . Nothing is too much trouble for Detmar and his team are also a delight . The whole day was fabulous and we owe so much to Hilles House and the professional way that his team managed the day . I have had so many letters commenting on the wonderful venue and I am sure that the wedding photos will confirm this . Thank you Detmar - my daughter had her perfect wedding !!

Wedding at Hilles

Detmar hosted our wedding at Hilles, the first in the magnificent palace yurt. The yurt is a beautiful structure, bright, light and with a spectacular view, visible from every seat. The yurt glowed in the evening as we partied and the wooden floor great for dancing on. The yurt's detailing makes it feel intimate whilst being able to host lots of guests. It was magical day and Hilles will always have a place in our hearts. There is nowhere like Hilles and I will always have the memory of guests in flowing dresses petting horses in the field below the house with the sun setting. Thank you to Detmar and Lucie for taking a personal approach to hosting and being so accommodating. Thanks also to Will, master yurt builder extrodinaire.

One of the best views in Britain

My wife and I got married at Hilles House in the summer of 2017. Quite simply it was the view and historical house that won us over. Envisage cocktails being drunk on the lawn with spectacular horizon views all the way as far as Wales and the ability to create a unique wedding with a white canvas just the way you want it to be. We had magicians, fire performers, even fireworks launched form the fields. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Do check out Bowden Hall to accommodate the majority of your guests as well as Painswick. Detmar and Martha are delightful and we consider them friends.
This venue is not to be missed!
