My Review is for a styled wedding shoot on 20th October to showcase the Venue for Autumn and Winter Weddings.

What can I say about Bronwyn and the team at Hoad Farm Barn. We were absolutely moved by the space and the teams generosity allowing us to use their staff to help us create the perfect shot.

A pleasure to work with and a can do attitude if you are considering the venue for a wedding or a party you will not be disappointed.

Agreed price and had it written on booklet then to have received a contract via email with different price on it (our price was different to book due to one Airbnb unit already being full for our dates so we didn’t have exclusive use and only had 2 units with the full package)

Communication was so delayed

Staff didn’t prepare for wedding songs and every time I asked about it was told I needed to wait for a specific member of staff on my wedding morning….of all things!! Then was told there was a speaker and one of my guests could control it from the ceremony area!!! WHAT!!

Dirty sofa bed for bridesmaids to sleep on and no bedding just old stained bedding left on the bed from last use. Was told they didn't know anyone had used it otherwise would have checked it.

Place crawling with ants including the Airbnb unit we were getting ready in and when made owner aware was told they’d ’had trouble with grass ants this year’ had to throw some food away in the venue!! Why not tell us beforehand if was a known issue?!

When needed staff they were nowhere to be seen. They also stood and watched my bridesmaids put out the evening food which they told us they would do.

Staff cleared dirty plates into their house cellar which meant evening guests had to eat food off their hands and I didn’t know this had happened until I saw people eating like it.

Owner told my Dj they didn’t have the correct connection in reach for him in the marquee but ‘bride would just have to move his location to inside the barn’ so that it would work. Without even speaking to me first considering I’d made all the table plans etc already and paid for the printing. Dj purchased an extension to make it work where we’d made space for him.

Staff all left the venue on the day without telling us or even saying bye-we were looking for help and my third party bar staff told me they’d all gone home already.

Venue is beautiful, every single guest commented on it. Staff don’t have a clue what they’re doing. It just ruined my day and my memories of the day because I was running around doing all the bits they should have been-not to mentioned we asked them if we should pay someone to come and work there for the day and was told no because they would have 3 members of staff there to do it all.

We also emailed them regarding the issues and just got a careless email response from them wishing us well in the future.

All we see on social media is them congratulating couples and sharing photos after their day. We didn’t get any of this so starting to wonder if they were behaving like they did with us because of the money issue at the start?!

Just all very sad.

Despite a small team they work very hard to make your day special. They've been excellent at personalizing and helping us plan out our day. Perhaps we are a little biased but would 100% recommend.

Bronwyn & Shirley were incredibly attentive and professional. They made the entire planning process seamless, always available to answer our questions and provide solutions. Nothing was too much effort for them, and they ensured our day was perfect.

The grounds of the venue are absolutely stunning. Inside, the venue is equally impressive, with tasteful decor and an inviting atmosphere.

Their dedication to making our day special from all of the team was evident in every detail, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Hoad Farm to any couple looking for a beautiful wedding venue. Thank you for a magical day.
