Amazing wedding venue

We recently got married at Holdsworth house and it was amazing!
The day could not have been more perfect
We had our meetings with Amanda who was so helpful and wanted our day to be as perfect as we did!
Nothing was ever too much trouble and the staff at holdsworth house went above and beyond prior to the wedding and especially on the day!
Tracey was our coordinator for the day who just made everything run so smoothly
Thank you so much for making our day so special!

The most perfect wedding day

We couldn't have asked for more. Attentive from the day we enquired. Nothing was any trouble. Catered for everything including very last minute changes. Calm, chilled and extremely organised. It didn't matter which wedding planner you spoke to, everyone knew your individual needs and accommodated every request. The wedding planner on the day ensured everything went exactly to plan and on time. Each and every staff member was friendly and professional. The food was exquisite. Unlike many wedding venues, the attention to everyone's food was as if you were having a meal for two, which is a huge task when catering for 63 people all at the same time. It was the same for the evening food, which was a hot buffet catering for around 100 people. The whole day was just perfect. Beautiful location, beautiful people. (Final bill included 4 extra rooms we paid for on top of the complimentary 2 parents rooms & choice of 2 bridal suites, ribbons/sashes for dining chairs, extra work of setting up outside for our wedding ceremony etc ). We had 63 for our wedding and wedding breakfast & around 100-110 for our evening reception.

Everything was Excellent!

The venue was picture perfect, the staff went over and above to ensure our day was seemless, providing fantastic customer service, and the food was stunning! Can’t rate it highly enough!

We had a fantastic weekend at Holdsworth House. Claire (The Wedding Planner) was extremely helpful and the whole team ensured our experience was exactly as we wished. The rooms were lovely and the food fantastic. I would certainly recommend Holdsworth as a superb place for an intimate ceremony.

A Fantastic Day

Dear Claire, just a quick note from me to say a huge thank you to you and all the staff at Holdsworth House who gave us a fantastic day on 2nd January! Both Lesley and I loved the day, I had high expectations, and they were amazingly surpassed!

Until that day, Holdsworth House had hosted the best wedding I had ever been to in the UK, and had only been beaten by one held in Segovia. I may be biased, but I think ours beat it.

We have been inundated with messages about how good the day was. Staff, food and venue. Tracy and all the others in attendance throughout the day were outstanding!

Thank you all very much! All our best wishes for 2020 and beyond!

Amazing venue

This venue is amazing whether you have your ceremony inside or out. We were lucky enough to have great weather and we had a small intimate ceremony on the front lawn under the gazebo. I cannot fault the staff from the moment we looked round, right up to the day we felt looked after and nothing was too much trouble. The team there are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this lovely venue to anyone, they cater for weddings big or small! It's just a shame the day goes so quickly, I wish I could do it all again it was perfect.

amazing and memorable

We had an amazing and memorable wedding celebration at Holdsworth House. Honestly, we have only high praises for the Holdsworth House Team for making sure that everything was perfect on our wedding day. They were responsive to all our queries made by emails and (some) phone calls, and they made sure that our requests were accommodated. They were incredibly efficient! I am especially grateful to Chris for making sure everything was perfect during the wedding ceremony and reception. I did not feel stressed out at all because I knew that Chris was handling everything for us and everything was under control. I fell in love with the venue the first time I visited it with my husband back in March 2019. Even though we only had less than 6 months to prepare for the wedding, I am grateful that all the wedding preparations went smoothly. Holdsworth House is a very beautiful hotel (17th century manor house!) and has excellent service! The food was superb. I actually had a hard time choosing the dishes for our 3-course menu during the food tasting because everything was really good! The wedding suite was also a delightful surprise to us - we had champagne, chocolates, flower petals (basically, the works!) and a lovely breakfast delivered to our room the next day. Thank you so much to everyone at Holdsworth House who made our wedding celebration unforgettable! Our family and friends were raving about it for weeks after!

A special day

To all staff at Holdsworth House
Sunday the 22nd September 2019 was such a special day for us. From the day we booked the wedding at your fabulous venue to the taster wedding breakfast and all arrangements in the weeks leading up to the day itself all staff we interacted with were outstanding in making sure our wedding was special not only for us but for all our guests. Special thanks go to Claire, Chris and to Liam for looking after us so we'll throughout the day itself. We would have no hesitation in recommending your team and venue to anyone and look forward to returning for our 1st anniversary meal.

We recently got married at this beautiful venue & had the best wedding day we could have wished for. We cannot sing this venues praises high enough.

We fell in love with Holdsworth House as soon as we saw it. The whole hotel has so much character & the grounds are stunning!! From our first meeting with them to book our wedding we knew we’d booked the perfect venue. All the staff are lovely & professional & nothing is too much trouble to make sure the most important day of our lives went without a hitch!

They worked tirelessly on the day to make our wedding day so special. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish & even the weather was kind & the sun shone all day so we were able to get married in the beautiful courtyard & make the most of the beautiful grounds.

All our guests thoroughly enjoyed it too & absolutely loved the hotel.

The food for our wedding breakfast was delicious. too & the waiters/waitresses did a brilliant job too.

If you want the perfect wedding look no further than Holdsworth House!

Well what can we say to start with due to personal reasons we had to postpone our wedding after speaking with holdsworth house they agreed to move it back a year, on the day before regarding decorations we were made to feel totally at ease with everything being put out etc and it didn’t disappoint the room looked beautiful and the service during the wedding breakfast from Tracey and her team was exceptional they couldn’t do enough for us along with the gorgeous gardens and the house itself I would recommend getting married here to anyone looking for a venue that has it all

We knew as soon as we saw Holdsworth House it’s where we wanted to get married. The pain free package meant that I had no stress at all throughout all the planning as anything we added to the day to entertain was through choice rather than necessity. The food was brilliant. We loved having the opportunity to go taste first and everyone commented on how fantastic it was and how full they were! The whole day was perfectly organised and so stress free that even though our speeches made things over run we didn’t even notice. The staff were wonderful and led us through the day so well ensuring we got to enjoy time as a couple not just hosts. The staff and hotel are wonderful and made our day so incredibly special!

So happy we chose Holdsworth House for our wedding it truly was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everyone was so accommodating and the service couldn’t have been better! From our initial viewing to the meal taster and the wedding itself, everyone went out of their way to reassure us and make us feel looked after.
The food was fantastic and our guests were really impressed with it and the setting itself. We couldn’t fault anything, wish we could do it all over again! Thanks to Claire, Joseph, Chris, Ben and Tracey and all the other people who made our day so special!
