Hornington Manor is a luxurious barn wedding venue set in 300 acres of peaceful countryside, just 20 minutes from the historic centre of York, North Yorkshire. Lovingly restored, this Grade II listed manor house provides an idyllic backdrop to plush country weddings while paying homage to its 1770 roots. From the period charm of the Servants' Quarters to the Victorian stylings of the West Wing, couples will have plenty of choices for their timeless traditional theme.

Nestled within a working farm, Hornington Manor offers couples pastoral charm and sustainable practices in one elegant setting. Couples will be free to host an outdoor ceremony in a choice of dedicated spaces. The Lych Gate is the venue's most enchanting spot, adorned in pretty flowers and providing ample seating for loved ones. For those who seek more open views, the lawn is just the place with its panoramic scenes of sheep-filled fields and the Manor's impressive facade.

The Russet Barn

Newly launched for Autumn 2022 our Russet Ceremony Barn; the barn features a vaulted ceiling with incredible whalebone, oak framed arches.

The barn began life as home to newborn Spring lambs at Hornington’s farm, now stylishly converted to welcome the birth of new love stories, offering a characterful and unforgettable setting to wedding couples starting a lifetime of happiness together.

The Dining Barn

The dining barn is primed and designed for sophisticated rustic events. This intriguing space has been carefully crafted into a charming blank canvas where wedding couples can fuse their tastes with the building's character. Here, up to 150 seated guests can enjoy a wedding feast before breaking out for a lively reception of up to 200.

Accommodation

The Manor boasts varied accommodation for as many as 60 guests across five unique areas within the Manor house and also eight luxurious ensuite Shepherd Huts set within the grounds.

Services Offered

Hornington Manor is an exclusive-use venue, offering you a blank canvas that allows you to create your bespoke celebration and enjoy the Manor house and gardens, surrounded by your own party of family and friends. You will be given the exclusive use of the Manor and its grounds over a minimum of two nights at weekends to ensure a relaxed, chilled and unhurried stay. Exclusive use midweek weddings are available also with a one-night stay included.

At Hornington Manor, wedding couples will have the assistance of a knowledgeable wedding coordinator from the moment of booking. Couples will have plenty of hands-on help creating a memorable weekend, giving them peace of mind. As part of their expertise, the dedicated event team can provide couples with excellent recommended suppliers. However, wedding couples are more than welcome to source their own suppliers if they have something specific in mind. On the day, the barn bar will provide an extensive array of beverages. Fine whiskeys, gin, and rum, and plenty of beers, wine, and soft drinks will be on hand to please every guest.
