We are a couple in our 60s and it was another chance at marriage after bereavement. The day was absolutely amazing the team made the day special, nothing was a problem to them. The food was delicious and all our guests commented on how gorgeous and hot the food was. We had been let down by another venue some weeks before and the team at this venue stepped in and enable our wedding to take place at their wonderful hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone getting married.

We got married on the 9th July 2022. It was spectacular. Everything went perfectly the staff was all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us and our guests. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return

Gary the wedding coordinator was amazing from start to finish, so chilled out and nothing was too much for him even when we had a last minute disaster and my husband realised he’d forgot to bring the wedding music with him it was no problem for Gary. I couldn’t recommend him enough he’s relatively new to the dunes but he really was amazing and helped make our special day run smoothly 🤩

We got married here in 2018 and it was a great venue. We were married at Cartmel Priory and we were an easy five minute stroll away. The rooms we stayed in were stylish, modern and very clean. It was a sunny day and the terrace was lovely, overlooking the gardens and a great view over the racecourse and fells. There was also loads of space for parking, which really helped a lot of our guests. The staff were all friendly and helpful and everything went perfectly on the day. I would happily recommend Cartmel Old Grammar.

We got married at The Villa Levens on 14/12/18 and it was an amazing day from start to finish. The staff couldn't do enough for us, from the night manager who worked so hard the night before to make sure everything was perfect...to our wedding planner Imogen who was so organised and professional and made sure the day ran so smoothly. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much hassle and I enjoyed the day so much knowing I had nothing to worry about. The guests all commented on how beautiful the food was. And the grounds and building itself had such a warm and welcoming feel. I am so glad we chose The Villa Levens for our special day and we would highly recommend for anyone thinking of getting married here!

We were guests at a wedding here in December and it was that amazing we have broken the rule and booked our own wedding there too!

We chose the brierywood hotel due to the intimacy of the venue, location on the shore of Windermere and the amazing local menu offered with the Lakeland package. The staff were very helpful from the start of planning our wedding; helping us throughout the months running up to the wedding day with our questions. At the hotel you have the ability to book out the whole hotel which made our day feel even more special as it meant our family and friends could mingle and enjoy the surrounding area over a weekend. The staff were fantastic on the day and had everything set up and ready to go. The hotel is very kid friendly and didn't even mind some of the younger children playing dens with the lounge furniture. The food was fantastic with a brilliant breakfast choice for everyone including vegetarians and people with allergies. The bar menu choices were great too. The Lakeland package worked for us as it gave people not from Cumbria the opportunity to try local food and drink. We would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue.
