Great value for money. Beautiful and very clean venue. Staff are very friendly and responsive. Good quality food and beautiful quiet location tucked away in central London.

We chose the Bedford, Balham, partly as it was a very local venue. The venue has the ‘club room’ famous for its shows, but it also makes a great location for the ceremony itself. Combined with the dining/ball room upstairs this allowed us to hold the whole wedding in one place. In the run up to our wedding the Bedford gave a professional service and on the morning Becky was on-hand to help us set up the dining room exactly as we wanted it. For the size of the venue we were towards the upper end in terms of guests, but the team were helpful ensuring we could fit everyone in. We also had quite a large number of children at our wedding and The Bedford kindly supplied a room for our childrens’ entertainer. Overall the team at the Bedford made our day a great success and feedback from our guests was that they loved the venue too.

The MO was always a dream venue for us- but I had always thought they would be out of our budget. So when I inquired about dates and different packages, I was pleasantly surprised to find options that were within our budget. One thing that really helps with the MO (compared to other Knightsbridge hotels) is that your booking includes the use of the MO's furniture, linen and cutlery, which are of course beautiful and elegant, so why wouldn't you use them? The venue is also so beautiful you don't need to spend much on the decor at all. We had originally booked for May 2020, which of course had to be postponed. We postponed several times; we even had a small ceremony booked in December 2021, which got dramatically cancelled the night before; on the day the hotel staff were so amazing, one of the managers gave me a big hug, MO panda bear and a big bottle of champagne, and the chef at the Rosebury gave us complementary afternoon tea boxes so I could have it with my family who had flown in for the event. It was all so sweet. We finally had our big event in August 2022, which was absolutely magical. We were particularly touched by all the thoughtful details that made the experience extra special. E.g., being fed before heading out for confetti and drinks reception as we wouldn't have much chance to eat otherwise (and indeed we were too busy greeting and chatting to guests to eat canapés); having a staff bring us food so we don't have to queue up; being offered an exquisite complementary suite, and even small things like someone coming to us with clean cutlery immediately when they heard my husband drop his fork at breakfast. Our guests also told us how totally fabulous the event was and how much they enjoyed the food and the drinks. Guests also appreciated that, being in the centre of London, they didn't have to commit 1.5+ days traveling back and forth to celebrate. All in all, I cannot think why you wouldn't book the MO! When I walk past I get the warmest fuzzy feeling knowing how well we were treated. There are options available at different budgets, so do make your inquiry! I am a fan for life for sure.

Despite having to move the wedding date twice due to Covid the team at Hotel du Vin were flexible and accommodating to all changes. They worked closely with our suppliers and the personal touches we requested to make the day itself as relaxed and enjoyable as possible both for ourselves and our guests.

What a venue!!! Planning our wedding with Anja, Razvan and the team was a fantastic process throughout that delivered beyond expectation. The Lampery's features needed no extra decoration; and we were lucky with the weather so that the bi-folding doors were open on the terrace exposing the amazing green foliage ceiling which was perfectly lit on our beautiful August summer wedding afternoon. Compliments to Marcelo the head chef who, alongside his team, turned out a flawless and artistic three course meal for 85 people, with each lamb cutlet, risotto and dessert delivered to perfection. Our guests were enamoured with joy and we are still receiving compliments about how tasty the food was. The portion sizes of the three course meal and sides were generous; no one was left hungry. The team also got creative with some bespoke extras for the evening – the cheese boards and popcorn went down well, and we were happy that our evening guests all managed to get something to snack on. The Lampery staff and management were welcoming and generous, and catered our every need; each and every guest was taken care of with attention to detail, and thought put in to those whose meals required dietary alterations. Prosecco and wine glasses were topped up throughout the reception and meal; a touch which has been noted and complimented on by many of our guests. The service from when we arrived until we stumbled out at the end was flawless We would highly recommend the Lampery to anyone having a wedding reception; it delivered the relaxed cocktail-lounge vibe that we wanted to project, and there aren’t many venues that couple great decor, modern facilities, space for eating, relaxing and dancing, and staff who really care about you all in one place.

Earlier this month we had our wedding reception at the Fox & Grapes which was absolutely fantastic!! It exceeded all expectations! We had exclusive use of the whole venue and also made use of the 3 lovely hotel rooms above the pub for the weekend. We had a more informal bowl food and canapés event with around 90 guests. In the run up to the event we had a number of meetings with Daniel who made some great suggestions about how to host the event - we had wine and water stations around the pub, speeches from behind the bar, DJ with a dance floor, blackboard used for information and seating in one half of the pub for guests to sit down, talk and eat. We are massive foodies and the food was plentiful and delicious. Many of our guests raved about the food and how Daniel, Matt and the team managed the event. We would highly recommend the mini burgers, crab, arancini, roast beef in yorkshires and veggie chilli! Although we didn’t decorate the venue ourself, many of our guests commented on the lovely decor, flowers and lighting in the pub. It rained all day, however this didn’t spoil the day at all and we managed to get some lovely photos just outside the pub by the stunning red ivy wall. Thanks again to the Fox and Grapes team for hosting us!

We had the most wonderful time last weekend. From the day of our arrival on the Thursday, through Friday, and each day through the weekend, everything was absolutely perfect. I wanted them to have a wonderful time, and everything was so perfect for all of them. I wanted them all to see why we love the Sofitel St James so much, and they have heard me talk so much about it through the last ten years that we have stayed there, so it was wonderful to have them there and hold our function there, and let them all experience a place that holds so many treasured memories for me. The Saturday evening was magical and unforgettable. It was perfect, and the food and service was outstanding. I enjoyed every mouthful. Not only did it look amazing, but it was so good. I knew we would have a wonderful evening, but none of us imagined it would be as perfect as it was. For all the guests, Chris and I, and my parents it was truly a special and memorable 50th wedding anniversary celebration, and time to have a wonderful reunion with great friends and family and celebrate. It was TRULY MEMORABLE. You were responsible for creating such a wonderful evening and we truly appreciate it. perfect. My parents felt so spoilt from the moment they arrived from the airport, to be greeted so nicely. It is all these special touches that are always there each time we stay, not only when we are having a wonderful celebration, that make Sofitel St James one of my favourite places of all the destinations Thanks again and I really look forward to seeing you. I had my wedding at the Bingham last summer. The venue backs out onto the Thames and has a cool garden. My wedding co-ordinator was fantastic and the staff were brilliant! xx

The Lanesborough is a gem hidden in central london, food is fantastic and innovative and the staff are attentive and friendly. I would reccomend it to any one!
