Such a gorgeous venue! Each beautifully decorated room was full of character, whether a function room or bedroom, and we loved every single one of them. We wanted a local wedding venue with stunning interiors (to allow for the great British weather), could provide accommodation for us and our overseas guests, and was also dog-friendly for our most important bridal party member Lottie. Huntsham Court ticked all the boxes and was the perfect mix of warm hospitality and vintage opulence. The housekeeping and bar staff hired by our planner Laura, who works as one of their in-house planners, were extremely pleasant to work with – cheerful and chatty but also efficient at carrying out their tasks. We also appreciated the freedom to hire any vendors provided their insurance/licences were suitable, and there was no corkage fee – something which stands out against competitors which tend to designate fixed caterers or have exorbitant corkage.
Cons – certainly not the cheapest venue in the area, and the price only includes the venue, 2 porter slots and 6 hours of a planner’s time to help with essential admin e.g. ensuring your vendors have appropriate PAT testing on their equipment. No other house staff or any consumables are included. While this means any additional costs are completely in your control, it also means you have a lot of organizing to do! We quickly realized that many things that we took for granted (as our minimal wedding experience had been in hotels) such as glass collectors, dishwashing tablets, and instant coffee had to be sourced and supplied by us. We decided to hire the in-house planner for a more comprehensive package to assist with staff hire and advice on vendors who were used to the venue and would have the appropriate licenses/insurance/equipment (although the venue does not limit vendors per se), which increased expenditure further. We believe that the extent of how self-catering the venue is should be more clearly explained on their website as we were not aware that we would be having to supply our own bin bags at the point of putting down our deposit.
Would we hire it again? All our guests were awestruck and had the best time exploring the ground floor, the gardens and even the bedrooms after others had checked out. Everyone was complimentary of the décor and the staff. Maybe, now that we are aware of the level of planning required and the “hidden” charges, we would still be open to considering it for our 10 year anniversary.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue than Huntsham Court for our wedding day. We were initially drawn to Huntsham Court due to the flexibility around suppliers, the no-corkage fee, and it's dog friendly! And when we went to view the venue we fell in love with it. Having a weekend wedding was perfect for us, and the fact the venue has so many bedrooms meant most of our guests stayed on site, which made it so convenient for our guests and allowed us to spend quality time with friends and family before, during and after the wedding without feeling rushed. We didn't need many decorations as the house is absolutely stunning. It's beautiful and grand, but at the same time warm, welcoming and cozy. Such an amazing atmosphere. Everything is super flexible (food, drinks, room layout, suppliers, dog friendly) which helped make it such a personal and unique day for us. The venue's wedding co-ordinator (Jenny) was amazing - she handled every aspect of the day flawlessly so we could relax and enjoy the day as we knew we were in good hands. Lots of the guests commented that it was the best wedding venue they've been to (and we agree!). Thank you Huntsham Court for an unforgettable and magical day!

We got married at Huntsham Court a month ago and it was the most perfect wedding weekend! The venue strikes the perfect balance between allowing you to have our own stamp but without leaving you to do it all on your own, something that was invaluable in the final few weeks and on the day. Our guests had the best time staying onsite and exploring the surroundings, they all commented on how beautiful the rooms were
Everything that made the atmosphere at our wedding special was the way the venue works and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had our wedding on New Year’s Eve at Huntsham Court. For context, we had 121 guests, had our church ceremony on the Huntsham land, and stayed for 2 nights - we had 40 guests staying at the venue with us on the first night and c.80 staying for the second (the remaining guests stayed in nearby hotels). We cannot sufficiently explain how wonderful this venue and its staff are but we will try!

Huntsham Court seems to be able to offer you with both a blank canvas if you choose to decorate the venue to your own taste and also sufficient character if you choose to leave the venue as is. It’s the perfect venue for dry hire - the local area boasts a huge selection of suppliers - all with their own experience of working at the venue to be able to guide you through your planning experience.

As for planning, the venue has a ridiculously good set of wedding coordinators and staff members. We used Jennifer as our coordinator/planner and we have been unbelievably impressed with her work - we had a rather far-fetched set of ideas and Jennifer and the Huntsham staff executed them impeccably. The Huntsham staff think of everything down to the amount of tea bags you might want to buy to keep everyone happy. They are also incredibly well connected with suppliers. It’s hard to understand how the venue can be as amazing as it is, with a staff as professional and wonderful all for such good value.

The venue works for both smaller groups (the venue was perfectly sized for the 40 guests we had to stay the night before) and also transforms to work incredibly well for larger groups (121 total for the wedding day). It is quite frankly magical - a beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. We have visited both in the summer and then in the winter for our wedding and it is beautifully arranged for weddings across all seasons. If you want to dance and party all night - the venue can do that (the Great Hall is an amazing dancing experience - the venue has adorable LED lights that can be turned onto party mode, an in-house bar and space for an EXTRA bar if you want), if you’d rather a cosy dinner - the venue can do this too (we had a more intimate dinner the night before our wedding) and if you’d rather the venue is used for a relaxed affair with board games and guests making cups of tea it can do this too (it has multiple reception rooms without feeling too big, un-homely or overwhelming).

We cannot recommend this venue enough. It’s great value for what it offers, it has endless ways to make your wedding unique to you and it has an amazing group of staff members who will help you make your special day truly wonderful.

From the decor, space, and staff members, there is nowhere like huntsham. It was home from home but also formal and beautifully unique. The staff have been a dream in every single way. Laura our planner went above and beyond for us. The house has a magical feeling to it that I can’t explain, think when you were a child and you wake up excited, that kind of magic. I recommend Hunrsham and Laura to anyone who wants the best wedding ever, there is absolutely nothing I’d change apart from to do it again. I didn’t want to leave.

Huntsham Court is stunning, we had every weather possible over the weekend and it really didn’t matter. All of the rooms and the bedrooms were gorgeous and our guests were blown away. Despite being a huge grand building it felt like a home away from home for the weekend and I can’t wait to find an excuse to return.

Huntsham was everything we wanted and more for our wedding. Our main criteria was to find a place that slept most of the guests so we could host multiple events across the weekend for everyone flying across the world to be with us. Huntsham allowed us to have everything from a casual backyard garden party on Friday, a cute intimate church ceremony, a formal sit down wedding breakfast and a lively 2am dance floor all in the one place. Our guests could not stop raving about the Venue.
Huntsham also offers full flexibility on the whole event which we loved. We got to choose all our own suppliers and have the day exactly as we wanted.
The staff are unbelievable, they are so friendly and helpful and they make everything run smoothly. It was honestly the best decision we made through out the whole planning process!

Huntsham Court ticked every box for us. The best venue we came across by far in terms of aesthetics, flexibility, location and cost. We held a two day event, and they happily accommodated all of our wishes. All of our friends and family could stay in the building with us for two nights, and were able to enjoy the entire grounds throughout. The staff were incredible, both warm, organised and very good at what they did. Massive shout out to Natalie who made the whole experience run like a dream!

My daughter Claire Breen and James Bennett were married at Huntsham Court and we were thrilled with everything. The venue couldn’t have been more helpful and the setting, rooms and ambiance made it a most amazing wedding.

Thank you to Huntsham Court for our fantastic wedding in November - the staff were amazing and exceeded our expectations; they were on top of every detail and anticipated any issues we might have. We weren't sure if we needed an event manager on the day but Laura our coordinator did an excellent job of handling everything from inflatable sharks to the sparkler first dance. Our guests loved the venue and many have asked for details for their own celebrations.

We absolutely loved our stay and wedding at Huntsham Court. They exceeded our expectations in all ways, and we started with high expectations from their beautiful photos and previous reviews!

The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, and are set up so that you truly feel like it is your home to host your event for a few days. The house is immaculate, warm and welcoming, with countless details to explore and experience. The decor and furnishings were beautiful, and felt more like a comfy home than an off-limits museum. Our guests enjoyed the activities available, including croquet, tennis, and jenga. Each room had a unique character, making each guest feel at home and eager to explore all the house had to offer. There is a great diversity of spaces, from small nooks with couches for private conversation to grand rooms that accommodate all guests, together.

The staff went above and beyond, all of our guests had great praise and spoke very highly of their interactions with the staff. Having Natalie (our venue coordinator) and other members of the staff present helped to put our own minds at ease for our wedding day. The staff was flexible and creative to help us meet our ideal vision of a wedding stay, both in the lead up to the wedding and in the organization of the surrounding days. We planned the wedding stay from the United States, and having Natalie’s input on local vendors was an invaluable contribution.

Overall, we cannot recommend Huntsham Court highly enough! We even hope to host an anniversary there… some day.

Huntsham Court really is the most perfect venue for a wedding. It has it all; stunning building, option of picturesque Church on the driveway, beautiful rural setting, gorgeous grounds, wow factor but homely feel, awesome staff and the flexibility for you to create the wedding of your dreams. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Natalie (our wedding coordinator) was a superstar and ensured the day went smoothly for us. I can’t wait to find another reason to visit again one day 😃
