We had an excellent experience with Huntsmill Farm and their fab co-ordinators, right from the first viewing. They were always on hand during the planning process for any queries, and the venue runs several open days each year which was very handy for popping along to seek any inspiration or do any measuring for our own decorations. There is plenty of on-site accommodation which was to a very high standard and very handy for the weekend, and being able to access the venue the day before for set up was a big bonus compared to other venues we had viewed. The day ran perfectly and the venue was gorgeous and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others planning their weddings.

We couldn't have asked for more from the staff at Huntsmill. They were helpful & supportive from the very start and on the day, even more so. The venue has lots of spaces indoors and outdoors but isn't big enough that you lose guests, giving it a really intimate feel on the day.

Their chosen caterers, Portfolio Events, were fantastic. Everyone said it's the best wedding food they've ever had. I'd highley recommend the sharing platters.

Only reason for a slight mark down is that the owners live on site and they weren't particularly pleasant on the Friday before the wedding. There is also a significant noise limiter at the venue as a result, which meant the music didn't sound as great as it could have and impacted people dancing. It's a shame as everything else was perfect.

From the first visit to Huntsmill Farm we absolutely fell in love with the venue and Olivia who showed us around was so professional it really sold having a wedding there.
The team did a couple of open evenings in between booking our wedding and our actual wedding date which was really useful and just nice to go back to the venue, refresh our memory on what was there and meet suppliers. We actually did hire a supplier last minute from inspiration from the open evening that was a couple of months before our wedding.
We enjoyed getting ready in the cottages and our guests being able to check in in the morning of the wedding, this was a nice touch and helped made the getting ready part even more special.
On the wedding day Emily and Saskia were so helpful, organised and efficient. They just ensured everything ran smoothly and as we wanted.
The following day they had already packed and organised our wedding belongings which made it easy to load into our cars.
We loved the sign Huntsmill Farm made us and the venue will forever have a special place in our hearts.

Words cannot describe the incredible wedding day we had, but I will try my best. From the first time we made contact with Huntsmill Farm they were great. Responses were always quick and no question was ever too much bother to answer ( even when it seemed minute!) It was great having the time the day before to set up the venue and having accommodation included the night before meant we could spend extra time with family and friends. The cottages were well equipped and spacious. On the day of the wedding the team were not overbearing and gave us our space to get ready. We had our ceremony at church but on heading back to the venue they had prepared drinks outside as requested. The day ran so smoothly and the team helped with this (as well as Portfolio our chosen caterer). Having the choice of only 2 caterers was fine as it made the decisions easier! We were able to have everything we wanted including all our own decor, photobooth, pizza and a live band! Drinks packages were also very well priced. We had an absolutely Incredible day - thank you! (And we got to keep the super cute sign they made too!)

We booked this venue in January 2020 (pre pandemic) for July 2021. Unaware about the chaos and stress that was about to ensue. The pandemic hit and we were constantly worried about the wedding going ahead with all the restrictions that were in place. We’d hoped that by July 2021, things would be more normal. Up until this point everything seemed fine in terms of interaction with the owners. Fast forward to May/June 2021 and the restrictions had been extended. Meaning we’d have to cut our guest list, couldn’t have music etc. Far from the special day we’d planned. We explained this to the owners, hoping they’d sympathise but they couldn’t have cared less. We asked to rearrange. They ‘allowed’ us to rearrange but at an extortionate cost to us - despite us urging them for a fair compromise. They advised us we’d have to pay 100% cost of the original date we wouldn’t and didn’t have, AND 50% of the new date and this was non negotiable. (Baring in mind as nothing happened on our original date, the losses directly associated with our day would be very small). During this time Henry was extremely unpleasant to us. I understand businesses were under pressure at this time, but businesses also had significant financial support from the government via grants and being able to furlough staff etc - which I’m sure Huntsmill farm made the most of. We spoke to a solicitor for legal advice, but simply didn’t have the funds to proceed down the legal route, so we had no choice but to pay. On our wedding day, Henry barely said two words to us. In fact any conversation with Henry following the arrangement of the new date felt very curt, negative and stressful. Had I known they were just out for money and had no morals, I would have spent mine and my husbands hard earned money elsewhere. I don’t wish anyone to have the same experience we did.

Our wedding was perfect thanks to the work of Emily, Hannah and the team. The venue is stunning and the spring flowers made it even more special. We organised everything in 2 months and Emily was supporting us in the day by the day organisation and we never fell stressed. It was great to have our guests remaining in the cottages the night after the wedding so that the celebration lasted longer and we could have our family and friends around a bit more.
For the wedding, we could use 2 separate rooms, one for the ceremony and one for the wedding breakfast and while we were eating the band could arrive and set everything up in the room of the ceremony so they could be ready for the evening celebration.

We could not have wished for a better day!

There’s no doubt in our minds that we chose the best venue around! Huntsmill were amazing from first contact, viewing and booking, to the day of the wedding. Emily and saskia were so attentive on the main day and kept everything running smoothly, thank you for everything. I would recommend highly to go and see this stunning venue if you are planning your wedding in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas!

Huntsmill Farm have been amazing and made our day as perfect as it could have been. They took away all the stress of the day, all we needed to do was relax and enjoy ourselves.

Leanne & Andy’s wedding - 24th June 2023

On Saturday 24th June 2023 we held the wedding of my daughter Leanne and her Fiancée Andy, at Huntsmill Farm, Shalstone, Buckingham. I wanted to share our experience of the whole weekend at the wedding venue, as I know how difficult it is to decide on a suitable location for what is, one of the most important days in their lives.

I cannot speak highly enough of the Huntsmill team and the wonderful setting, which is essentially a working farm.
Emily and Olivia were excellent from the very start, helpful, polite and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble and although the whole weekend went smoothly, when problems arose and they did, they stepped up and remained calm and supportive the whole time.

The accommodation was excellent, everything you would want in a venue. From the beautiful converted barns where the ceremony and Wedding breakfast took place to the accommodation and grounds, were superb. The moment we arrived on Friday evening to the moment to left on Sunday, the venue felt like a home from home. It was so tranquil and everyone commented on how chilled and relaxed they felt the whole weekend. The atmosphere ensured that Leanne and Andy, although nervous and no doubt stressed, were made to feel a million dollars. The whole experience contributed to the most wonderful experience and a cannot recommend the venue highly enough.

I am so incredibly happy that we picked Huntsmill Farm for our special day. It was just perfect. The cottages are really spectacular and with family coming from around the country this really added to the whole wedding and getting married experience of being all together. We didn't even need to use lots of decorations inside the venue as it is naturally set up so beautifully. Communication was fantastic and they even provide a website so you can organise your day and send them messages. They answered my many questions and were very flexible when I changed my plans of the day. They were accommodating to the suppliers that I chose and also provided a list of suppliers which really helped as I had no idea where to start! It was a perfect day for us and I will treasure the time there always. Thank you Huntsmill for our special day!

The staff were amazing from the get go. Olivia was amazing! Just made the day so special and ran it so smoothly. Emily was also amazing specially when we had an emergency in the dress department. The bar staff were lovely and so helpful. The person that greeted us (so sorry I can’t remember her name) really looked after us at the start and end.
The day was magical and we have your staff to thank for this!
The wooden sign was such a personal touch! We will treasure that forever!

Beautiful Venue and amazing staff. Totally exceeded my expectations and would definitely recommend anyone who wants a scenic wedding to go for it. With or without a lot of décor the place was stunning and cosy.
