Set in the heart of the postcard town of Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, Kings Chapel is an 18th-century Chapel and wedding venue. This site boasts a spectacular domed ceiling and glittering chandeliers sure to set your heart fluttering. For history buffs, this stunning property is the ideal setting in which to tie the knot.
Facilities and Capacity
There are a number of indoor and outdoor event spaces for you to choose from at Kings Chapel. You and your loved one can exchange vows in the Main Hall, which is adorned with original architectural features. Alternatively, if you're dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, you can host a ceremony in the beautiful Walled Garden. Follow the nuptials with a glass of fizz or your favourite tipple, delicious canapes and photos on the site's grounds and surrounding areas of Old Amersham. There is even a fantastic horsebox bar for your guests to enjoy an extra tipple. You may dance the night away and party in style in this exclusive venue. Then when the clock strikes midnight, the celebrations don't have to stop, enjoy a nightcap and nibble on the wedding cake in the cosy Kings Arms bar exclusively until 2 am. Kings Chapel can seat up to 120 guests on round tables for your wedding breakfast or up to 134 for a scrumptious feast.
Accommodation
All your accommodation needs are taken care of at this venue. The Kings Arms Hotel has 34 bedrooms, so any guests wanting to catch some much-needed rest after the celebrations can stay with you. These rooms include everything you need for a great night's sleep.
The newly refurbished Honeymoon Suite is complimentary for the happy couple to spend the night too!

Cannot recommend this place enough!
As for the service provided by the King’s Chapel team, we honestly cannot sing their praises enough. Especially Lara, who had been our wedding planner and is an individual who is very attentive, thoughtful and radiates positive energy. Lara knew how nervous and stressed my husband and I had been, but she made us feel very looked after and it showed throughout our wedding planning journey. Lara and the King's Chapel team pulled everything off to a tee! We were also looked after by the wonderful Kiera and Sallieann in times of emergencies - all three lovely ladies had been super accommodating.
The food during the wedding and breakfast the next day were delicious, and the rooms at the King’s Arms are super cosy and romantic. The staff were all so lovely and went above and beyond for us and our guests.
From start to finish, we’ve had an absolutely amazing time with the King’s Chapel, and we cannot thank them enough for ensuring that we had the most beautiful and perfect ceremony.

The perfect stress free day!
The venue itself is gorgeous and we fell in love with it immediately as we wanted something that felt intimate but still had different areas for the day to progress through.
A special thanks to Kiera who was our dedicated co-ordinator who was always available to talk through details in the lead up to the wedding and managed everything on the day so that we didn’t have to think about a single thing.
Everything on the day worked so well it was the most stress free experience so we could truly just relax and enjoy ourselves with our family and friends.
The evening team and security guards were also brilliant! Everyone was so lovely and professional at all times with the main goal of making the day great.
Even an unfortunate incident which led to some damage in the venue was handled so well, I had a little panic but Kiera and team calmed me immediately and couldn’t have dealt with the situation any better.
A HUGE thank you to the entire team it was an absolutely perfect day.

The beauty of The Kings Chapel is truly breath-taking, with its charming ambiance and picturesque surroundings. It provided the most romantic backdrop for our ceremony and celebration.
The staff, especially Kiera and Joe, were absolute superstars! Their professionalism, attention to detail, and warm personalities made us feel so well taken care of throughout the entire planning process and on the big day itself. We can't thank them enough for their incredible support and hard work.
Now, let's talk about the food! Our wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we were impressed by how quickly and efficiently it was served. Every dish was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavour, leaving our guests raving about it long after the event.

If you are thinking of booking Kings Chapel for your wedding , absolutely do it!
A special mention to Lara our wedding coordinator, when we met she put us at ease and nothing was ever too much trouble - a huge support on the build up and on the day. Queries or questions were always answered efficiently and we built a great relationship.
Every supplier we spoke too, couldn’t recommend Kings highly enough which is exactly what you want and everyone worked like one big team - it was seamless and gave a great vibe to our day.
The food was incredible, everyone commented on this and especially one vegan guest who said they had never been so catered for before at a wedding - amazing. We had canapés which were delicious and Kings kept a separate board for Bride & Groom which was a lovely touch, the 3 course meal everyone commented on how incredible the food was but also the service was top notch, ticking off every guest as they went round each table and lots of servers which made everything smooth. We also had the wood fire pizza which went down such a treat at the end but of the night - delicious! & the gin bar which was beautifully put together with tonics, garnish etc.
We also had a meal the night before which was sooooo good too, amazing top quality pub classics! We stayed at the Kings Arms the night before and our wedding day and made use of the late night bar too. It was so great to be able to spend breakfast with our wedding party too! These extra options were great to have.
We would recommend Kings to anyone.
Kings will always hold a special place in our hearts and we honestly had the best day! If we could do it again we would! Thank you!
